I have watched your videos for a year now and rewatch them for stuff I forgot. Enjoy the honest no attitude information. I have been competing for 13 years VBR club level and you never stop learning, thank you
Wow! What a great video! Your doing what Im thinking about doing, great job! I just got my reamer a few months ago and in a few days ill get my barrels back from the gunsmith. Im shooting 223, but also made a 6br reamer with a 0.069 freebore.. did I go too long on my freebore for shooting 90grn bergers? Can you tell me what freebore you have on your 6br reamer? Thankyou!
ماهو العيار اللذي تطلق النار منه وماهو التوست
It's been a while since any new videos, Bruce!?
Did you ever figure out what was going on with the AutoDOD?
@@precisionmachineshed no, never did, gave it back
I have watched numerous videos that you have made, and every one of them were loaded with knowledge. You have helped me become a better reloader and Shooter. I have used this knowledge and shared it with my son-in-law‘s. you are helping more people than maybe you realize thank you for being so generous with your knowledge and time. I look forward to all your videos.
This is by far the most mind-numbing, pointless shooting sport. Copulation with no culmination. Load development is supposed to be a means to the end, not the end itself.
Are you using custom cut dies... or are you using off the shelf store bought dies and what press? Sincerely
What seating die are you using for that 7 PRC?
Hello Bruce. I am interested in doing the neck clearance test. Question is what mandrel / bushing size do you select? And how do you make that selection. Hope all is ok.. I see you haven’t posted in awhile. Take care
@GilbertRoberts-b1u hi, for this test I attempt to keep neck tension the same as much as possible, so for me I attempt to make the tension as light as possible. So I use mandrels to bump out the neck so it's at lightest tension that still holds the bullet when trying to pull it out by hand. It's the easiest way I've found to keep the tension as close as possible.
Thank god you have a chamber flag in that receiver. You never know when that bolt is going to walk back in there.
I usually run with 30 thousands jam and 0.0005" neck tension.
Someone must have stocked up on Berger bullets when they were reasonably priced. Damn 153.5g in 6.5 are 70 bucks per 100 is the best I can find
I never tumble my brass. I wash it with lemon shine and use fine steel wool and a cordless drill. Tumbling is for collected range brass that’s cruddy as hell in my opinion
is it true that if the barrel is too short for all the powder to be burned, it can cause higher ES/SD?
Hi Bruce, which custom bullet is best at 1000 yards? You said some of them "opened up" at long range.
very helpful video! thank you for making it.
Bruce, avid fclass shooter from Ohio. You have helped my accuracy by just being forthright and honest - would love to PM somehow.. Let me know, Brett
What is the loading block you are using? Can you buy or it let me know how to make it. thank you
@JamesWestoby-p7g I bought that from a retailer on accurate shooter. I believe the flexible tube came from Amazon. I attached it to an aluminum block so it's easy to take on and off.
Very informative Bruce - Thanks for sharing. How do you determine a starting load for the 7PRCW with different powders before you begin to increase charge weights?
I def have to work on my rifle resetting in the same place each time so I can get fast shots off.
Thanks for sharing Bruce...Greatly appreciated!
Is 2-6 arbitrary numbers or those in thousands? 5 =.005? .0025 per side? Or .005 per side?
Very nice! Does everyone have that small piece of Velcro near the action from the Labradar trigger? I know mine is still there. Or, perhaps this Velcro has another use.
Yes its for the lab radar
Hey Bruce, Ive noticed you haven't posted anything new in a while hope everything is alright. Im having a shehane built with a .315 chamber and Lapua brass. My question would be should I turn all my cases to .314”, fire form all 100 cases to break in the barrel and have 100 fire formed cases to start load development? Thank you. E
Amazing range!
Hi Bruce where did your videos go? Fantastic content.
Hope you are well. Really miss your videos. You've helped me a lot.
Hey mate haven’t seen you in a while hope you’re doing well
Bruce, what twist rate to you prefer for your 7PRCW barrels?
Are you sending your barrels in for chambering with you rifle action? Just wondering if you were doing something pre-fit. Thanks
And raises the pressure on your barrel. I disagree with you almost 100%
Proof is in the pudding! Your competing and winning with the best of them 👍👍
Bruce, do you do any meaningful load development work at 100yds...if so, what do you recommend doing at 100yds vs 300yds? Thanks
Bruce, Enjoy all of your video's tremendously, appreciate the knowledge and experience that you share with us! Thank you--
I use the handheld rcbs neck turning tool and had my neck turns to seven 10,000s of an inch consistently
Rcbs sorrt
Wow you probably ssved me 2000 bucks right there..lol
Which ones did you win with?
Barts, won 3 years in a row
Love the tune
😅
Thanks for the info
What are you running on tension
I like your opinion, ill try that once I get up and running on my 6ppc
I do the exact same thing with my 21st-century cutter and I’m very happy with it well said 👍🇺🇸
Yeah, I first heard about the rice in that eric cortina interview with the owner of primal rights.. i forget the guyz name but he invented the $600 primer seater and seyz the rice puts just enough powder on the neck case for consistaant bullet release.. erik was like paying super close attention. L
I agree with bruce, he seems analytical enough to go through the tests. Of course there are other factors such as softness-hardne of brass, slow vs fast powders etc.. but if you have ever seen a combustion engine with a low compression cylinder you would immediately see the engine dancing around due to inconsistent combustion in the weak cylinder. A new engine with the same compression in every cylinder would have a smooth consistant idle.. in load developement we need smooth consistant combustion shot to shot, otherwise we probably get fliers..
Just watched your interview with Eric the other day and am now catching up on some older videos. Enjoyed them very much, nice to hear a successful shooter that is doing the best with what he has. The attitude bashing less than the best equipment has always pissed me off as a shooter. One does what one can and not wreck family life. Thanks for your honesty and looking forward to other videos. Ron Smith
Thank you. I hope to start more videos this week
Kool music almost sounds like Jimmy Hendrix.. aha
I subscribed immediately after this great video, thankyou for the inside tips. By the what actions would you rec. For F class?
