    I have a nightforce competition and a march 10x60 x52, like them both . If i had to pick one it would be the march, i love the focus adjustment better than nightforce, not as touchy.

    I'm a bit surprised by your opinion of the Sightron SIII. My Sightron SIII 10-50x is clearer than my Nightforce competition 8-32x which it replaced on my F-OPEN gun. A lot more light collection as well. They are made in Japan and they are one third of the price of the equivalent Nightforce. For the money they are very hard to beat. It does make sense that the Nightforce scopes should be better for 3x the price.

    I agree with you on sightron, target camera is easier than e target if looking for another option for long range

    I can see bullet holes at 1 thousand with the vortex if the air is clean, i used the Sightron when i started F Class and it was adequate, it's nice to have the top of the range scopes but you can manage with these cheaper ones

    It'd be awesome to have electronic targets out at Kenmore! I your videos Bruce.

    I have a Falcon X50 (10-50x60) which has 1/8th MOA clicks and decent glass for a reasonable price (approx £700). I can see bullet holes out to 600yds on a nice sunny day. The one down side is that field of view is rather narrow.

    Bruce I have 4 Sightrons and 2 are better than the other 2 . I can see my 6 ml whole’s easy at 500 with the 2 good ones . I would send it back . I love my Golden Eagles ,most days I can see the holes at 600 . I can’t seem to bring myself to put out the dollars for the Nightforce but I know they’re good . Just spent some time behind a friends 45 March ,for my eyes it was great . I think I could spring for one in the future other than the limited warranty.
    Out of curiosity what speed are you running your BRA as you told us you’re on the slower node . Mine seems to really like about 2880 fps
    Thanks for sharing you world with us .

    That seems to be the three choices of scope , NF comps are amazing.

    Take a look at longshot target camera. Shot marker appears to be what the comps use, but in my case at least, the longshot is more versatile.

    I have a sightron siii 8x32x 56 and I can see my bullet holes out alot further than that, I'm shooting a 6 creedmoor. I know those other Scopes are better, maybe you have a bad one. Recently subscribed love your content. Thanks

    Thank you for the video Mr. Teel!
    I have been contemplating buying either the golden eagle or the Nightforce comp.
    I believe I’ll just go ahead and get the Nightforce after watching.
    My eyesight isn’t the best and I will definitely need the better glass.
    May I ask what scope ring height is working best for you?

    • @bruceteel7
      @bruceteel7  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think I use the highest Burris rings, don't want any interference from my ear muffs

    For me the best ones are March scopes. Cheaper there's also Leupold with very good lens quality for the price. Nightforce is very good too but waaay to expensive in my country.

    Thanks for this Bruce. I have several Nightforce scopes, a local Idaho company, and love them. They are all on non-competition rifles, as I am just now going to get my first real comp rifle. The problem I've had with these scopes is that for my application on these other rifles, I've used first focal plane reticles. When I zoom in long range, the cross hairs cover the bullseye so I find myself moving it over a little to peek around the crosshair and sure enough, the bullet doesn't go in the bullseye! Is the FCR reticle as fine as the simple crosshair reticle? Some Leupold scopes I've used are open in center or have a tiny dot which helps with this problem but I want to stick with NF need to "right" reticle for this new rifle. Second focal plane seems appropriate for standard distance shooting where the target has MOA lines on it.

      MOA second focal plane is the way to go for long distance, fine cross hairs don't cover the target

    Your eyes are different then mine for sure I shoot a 10-50 sightron on my light and heavy gun and can in good conditions see bullet holes at 600 with it 300 to 400 is very easy to see holes with it. The paralex is touchy. And the sightron is not china made it's a Japan scope. Maybe you got a knock off lol.

  • @58harwood
    @58harwood ปีที่แล้ว

    None of the Sightron scopes are made in China! Zero! They have factories in Japan and the Philippines!
