Hi Eric as I always say, with 3 shots groups we are more eliminating the bad loads (vertical spread) than trying to be sure of the good ones in a single test. I'm also bored by fake scientific arguments of B.L. In the real scientific methodology you change your theory if it doesn't correspond with reality. In shooting the truth is printed on targets, I'm convinced that in few years someone will find the right explanation for what we see when tuning loads because sensors technology improves quickly (accelerometers...)
This is an awesome series Bruce the vials are great idea . I had bought I pop up enclosure so I could load powder at the range out of the wind but never have done it. The vial thing seems easier. Thanks man. Alex finally called me and should be chambering my 7prcW soon.
Where these all the same neck clearance or the 20 cases at 4 different clearances? I'm trying to follow your load development but I get confused easily.😄
Do you find that where the rifle / bullet combination shoots well at a particular velocity (at a given temp) will still shoot as well at a much different temp if the powder charge is adjusted to mimic the original temperature condition?
O wish I had a concrete answer to that, but with elevation differences, humidity differences, temperature differences, I just have to run a test the day before a big match to see where the sweet spot is that particular day.

Look up black powder vials, very convenient.
What press are you taking to the range?
How are you setting it up to use at the range?
Is that one of Eric’s tuners?
I do the same thing using vials. I started using a Lee hand press and then moved to a K&M arbor press.
