Good job thanks for sharing..
Thanks for watching 👊
I used to call those drives "Damnfussy" as they are a royal pain to set up. But they are quality drives.
Yep 😀
Kaiweets also sent me one of these and it seems pretty decent, although I am pretty sure the claimed 1920x1080 resolution is a fabrication. I never thought of marking a centerline on the articulation control, but that is a good idea.
It’s a good tool to have on the truck, Thanks for sharing 👊
Brings back memories from high school. The A/C unit for the schools theatre classroom stopped working (blower failed). Me and a classmate went up on the roof, found the bad bearing on the sheave end. Got a replacement, but couldn't get the old bearing to come off. With a lot of pounding and cussing, we drove the old bearing into the center of the wheel, got the new brearing on and got it running again. We were 17 and got 'er done. (The district maint. guys wouldn't fix it because it was owned by the drama dept. and not technically school equipment.)
Nice…That sounds about right
Why is it that during freeze cycle , the hot gas valve in the video gets frosted up ?
No heat
Does not work
Fire alarm guy gets part of rhe blame and also They did put the drier in an incredibly convenient spot to begin with . Reminds me of some European units I've worked on they looooove to do that sh*t !
Yep, Not like there wasn’t room in the condenser section
Last week I picked up there deep cut cordless bandsaws which was free if I bought the charger with 5ah battery and then I was at home and saw the vacuum pump online so I went back to grab it and picked up 2 more 5 ah batteries and out the door was 245. This pump should help out a lot when power is not close and don’t feel like running power for the pump I will be able to use the cordless pump
Hard to beat deals.. the pump works good for those smaller jobs. Even used it on some 5 ton installs
Where did you get them scissors 😮
From an old timer ✂️👍
Good fix subcool
Thanks Victor 👍
Great video. Good job and nice work. Thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Nice work Subcool.
Thanks Steven !
I’ve put the well on a vice to straighten it out then use a 1/4 inch drill bit to try to drill out the sensor. The sensor is stainless so a lot of times the copper expands and the sensor drops out. You don’t have to cut it like you did. I had one yesterday at the middle school that fought me
I’m glad you had success with that. This one had a small leak so cut and sweat was a two fold solution. Thanks for sharing
Him, after restoring power to the motor: “It’s good when the motor doesn’t blow up.” Me: I beg your pardon.👀
Thanks for watching!
I bet they really believe the "cracked heat exchanger" story when they see you carrying that thing around.
Pics definitely help tell the story 👍
Great review Subcool.
Thanks!👊

Thanks Jonnymac !
Great video and breakdown! On the outdoor sensor, you mentioned it had corrosion inside. Do you think that's just environmental(salt)? Or the location, where maybe water ran down the rusty vent, since it's just under it? Or the water tight fitting where the cable enters?
Thanks for watching, it’s most likely the humid salt air
@@subcoolHVAC Just a heads up, I run the sensor's(ACI) tech support. If you ever need direct help with ACI products. The PCB is conformally coated, but only so much you can do with the humid, salt air! I just happened to notice a couple things, so I wanted to mention it. I believe those sensors are installed at the factory anyways. I'll mention this to Addison's rep
Thanks , I appreciate that. Yeah the sensor looked factory
Just got the price on that sensor… have to ask why so expensive? Almost $3k 😳
@@subcoolHVAC I'll dm you
Great video. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
They have really good tech support. I've worked on a few of them before. Pretty decent unit. Weren't they part of Trane or something like that. If i remember correctly
So far this one is doing well, still waiting for a condenser and motor for another… They bought and sold WeatherKing years ago
That HMI display is carrier's, I troubleshot a lot of carrier BAS and that's definitely it. I know carrier owns automated logic, so it could just be the same manufacturer of the controls. Same for the PLC and outdoor air sensor, all carrier controls.
They are a bit pricey it seems, Thanks for the info 👍
Good job
Thanks for watching!
Nice job Subcool
Thanks Steven!
If you want a Hercules battery that has the power levels on top by the release, they exist. I run my 5 AH batteries with the power level lights by the release on my grease guns so I can see the power level while upright. I’m sure it’s just a difference in who is making them for harbor freight. I’m sure if you buy them in the plastic packaging instead of the starter kit like I did you can hunt for the power level on the side you want.
Yeah. I noticed they weren’t the same. My NAVAC has the battery level led on the 9ah but not the 5ah.
Adaptive control very useful😮
Is there a video out there how to replace coolant in drive cooler? Just got PM for YMC2 with HYP drive that will need coolant replaced in Spring. Thanks for video.
I don have a video on that yet, we power down, drain coolant, flush with distilled water, refill with York 013-04129-000 coolant (light blue color) . Recheck levels after restart
Seems like the liquid level valve was not closing off. Or was there no water flow? Condenser entering and leaving water temps the same?
JC Calibrated shaft, adjusted liquid level. There’s condenser flow.. chiller 2 has bad mbc amplifier board on back order with JC 🙁
What if this same ice machine keeps going into cleaning mode and melts the ice? Great video! Keep them coming.
Do you mean harvest? Check purge switch is normally closed when not depressed. Wash is turned on manually. www.iceomatic.com/userfiles/2466/products/prod_59504/ICE-Series-Service-Manual-8-2015.pdf
What if this same ice machine keeps going into cleaning mode and melts the ice? Great video! Keep them coming.
I like your humor- so natural
I appreciate that 😀👍
@@subcoolHVAC did you ever installed the Fresh-Aire AHU (UV lights) in any of the rheem air handlers. Do you have an advice on recommendations where to position them on a N coil?
I use 12” Ultravation UV. Installed on the air entering side of coil. Seem to last longer on the conditioned return side
@@subcoolHVAC it would make sense to have them sit under the evaporator (on the air entering side of the coil) but no idea if the plastic pans in the newer units are UV resistant, did you hear bout plastic pans issues (including smell) if exposed to UV light. But basically, this is the main purpose for the UV Light to get to the pan are where water stays - so it won't grow/develop bacteria and also to reduce slime growth on the pan.
The Ultravation kit has a metal deflector so it’s not directly on the pan. I’ve installed without deflector too, no smell issues other than the initial start up but goes away relatively quickly.
Would you please show a video of the process to get the "sanitize" light to go off.. plz!
See page 38 of the service manual how to clean/sanitize, follow the instructions to turn off light. www.scotsman-ice.com/service/service%20manuals/service%20manual.pdf
Oooof.
Exactly 👍
Nice video,,,very informative,,,,I have little question,,,that glycol,,,what is for the batteries? Thanks you if you could help that,,
Good question, the Heat Transfer Fluid (glycol) is for the AFD ( Drive cooling system ) . No batteries
Your channel's awesome mate , I learn a lot watching it . I like your straight to the point approach too 👍.
I appreciate that, it’s just me at work thinking out loud 👍
Leak ,,in the oil filter valve,,,? What te next step,,,? Are you going to change it the valve?
I see the issue man it’s not a Daikin
🤔 A possibility 😀
So I work for trane, recent move for me, and I brought this up today and the guys say it's from tube punching, the goodway can hit that well and bend them. Annoying for sure.
Congrats on the move, that makes sense getting bent from brushing 👍
Right on
Thanks for Watching!
Hi nice info,,,,I am starting work in chiller unit ,,,the ideal condenser Approach what should be ? Thanks
Keep it low , 3 or less is what I’m looking for once it settles down
🤙
Where did you get that multi-tool?
Ebay - Gerber Dual Force
It wouldn't be a Trane chiller if the sensors didn't have some sort of issue...close second is the cables....what a pain this must've been.
Yeah, once I saw it was bent I knew I wasn’t crazy.. has to be internal interference, I was glad I could make the repair.. I have some 2 yr old York wells leaking that need replacing too 👊🤔
You should use DeoxIT after restoring air to an electrical connection like that. The first guy put some moisture with the air he trapped ages ago and you want to get rid of those ions, because you'll be adding a little bit of water and air... unless temperatures are safe for electrolytic grease.
Thanks for watching!
🐭🐭🐭 Mickey Mouse wire snacks. lol Great trouble shooting. They Love cable. I had that problem at a few transmitter sites I was assigned to.
Yes they do 👍
That air handler is like a Timex Watch. keeps on giving. Back in the old caveman day's, every USA manufacture of any product, They were built to last forever. I am retired now and the stuff I used to work on that was new for today's slandered, they just don't last as long as the old and so called out of date equipment. And yes on the flip side of things for the Tech. That's money in your pocket.
Yep, that site is supposed to get all ahu’s replaced next year… not sure what the new units are yet but definitely not built the same as old!
🤙✌
Thanks for watching!
Good catch. Too many techs change motors, compressors, etc but they don't confirm proper ops. I recommend checking the IOM flow charts. The center of the flow curve is Trane's design data.
Right on 👍
