Nice little voltage drop when she fired up. Do yall have crappy power there. We definitely do and we have lots of issues when the buildings get power loss or a surge. Nicely done by yall. Another chiller running.
You know when a technician and not an engineer is making the measurements. You measured the input and you had less than an ohm, and after that you tested EACH one with high pot to GND.... WHY? If you have 1 ohm between each winding, and you tested first of them to GND and had 2200MEG.... for sure the other will be the same...as they had one ohm between them....
Good question GRC, because one good reading doesn’t mean something isn’t wrong. However, one bad reading guarantees something is wrong. Thanks for asking 👍
Agreed, 100% correct after verifying winding resistance on a three wire motor, test one leg and you tested them all. But, it doesn't take much time to do the other two and the one time someone doesn't check all phases is the one time they didn't measure the winding resistance correct and there is a bad winding. So not losing anything by doing all three but a minute or so.
I always enjoy getting to watch your work. Glad I found your channel
Awesome, Thank you! 👊
Got her back in stealth mode. Was waiting for the sequel. Youre apprentice is gonna be awesome.
I like that Stealth Mode 👍 The apprentice is doing well, today is his 1yr anniversary in the trade 👊
Good work having her back online
Thanks SilentoneVictor 👊
Lucky that mr. lizard didn't take out the diode packs.
⚡️yep

Ha, we do have our share of power issues especially when storms roll through. Thanks Jason !
Nice timing with the impact at 5:00 hah.
Thanks Dylan 👍
Nice work
Thanks
Nice work Subcool.
Thanks Steven 👍
good show, damn good show!
😀 Thanks for the support 👍
good work and excellent contribution
Thanks for watching 👍
Great Video. Good Job and Nice Work. Thank you for sharing. May I ask, what is the name fuse ?
Thanks, it’s VFD Semiconductor Fuse Type FWH-200B (200 amp)
I always use the German torque specs.
It’s not just for lug nuts 🤣👍
Is that thing variable? i mean, could it handle little loads to high ones and not waste energy overworking like my window ac?
Yes its 150 Ton chiller with variable speed compressors
So chiller compressor resistance values between terminals should all be the same? New to trade, Thanks for video !
Good question, on 3 phase like this one Trane recommends 0.2 to 2.5 ohms DC resistance of windings be within 5-10% of each other. Thanks 👍

lol you perfectly encapsulated the lack of real life problem solving engineers are known for
Stick to your clipboard and computer programs. Let the big kids handle the work in the field - where the real problems are solved.
