Using a 36 inch bar on the chainsaw mill
มุมมอง 108ปีที่แล้ว
I bought a 36 inch bar to tryout on my stihl 461 chainsaw to use with my chainsaw mill. I had already made a few cuts on a large white pine at my in-laws, with the 28 inch bar I had, but it wasn't long enough to make another cut. So I used the Timber Tuff chainsaw attachment and a board to make another cut. If I had the 36 inch bar I wouldn't have to make the other cut on the side of the log.
Replace water pump and belt on 6.7 Cummins 2012 Ram 3500

The belt on my truck broke when I started it up. After some inspection, I found the water pump needed to be replaced because the pulley was sloppy and did not spin freely.

STORM causes power outage. Testing out the 4000 watt generator on the 5th wheel RV.
มุมมอง 6Kปีที่แล้ว
I use the Champion 5000 W/4000 W generator to power my 5th wheel RV during power outage. I had not tested before this, and power outage was perfect opportunity to see if it has enough power to run the 5th wheel.
Portable wood burning CAMP stove
มุมมอง 118ปีที่แล้ว
I purchased a small wood burning camp stove that could be used for back packing or bug out bag. This was my first time using. I really liked how compact and how it folded up to fit in carrying case. I also showed the Stanley camp cookware. This is also nice how all the pieces nest together inside of one another.

Champion 4000 Watt Generator for back up power for the 5th Wheel RV
มุมมอง 3.9K2 ปีที่แล้ว
I purchased a Champion 5000 Starting Watts/4000 Running Watts Generator. Some people are predicting rolling black outs this summer. This generator will be able to power up my RV and run at least one of the air conditioners. This is a unboxing and first start up review.

Building the Outdoor Shower at our Off Grid CAMP in the Mountains of West Virginia Part 1
มุมมอง 1562 ปีที่แล้ว
Started building an outdoor shower earlier this summer. I 've worked on it about 3 days so far. It's been a busy year and I haven't had time to get down there much this year. The outdoor shower will also have a small bathroom with a sink and a composting toilet. There will be a rain barrel to store collected water. I have a instant hot water heater to provide hot water on demand. It will also h...
Changing shocks on the 1994 Polaris 400L 4X4
มุมมอง 3.9K2 ปีที่แล้ว
The shocks were completely wore out. I started this project back in March. I got stuck when the axle needed repaired or replaced and I couldn't get the pin out. So changing out the shocks was the plan but ended up changing the 1 axle and the brake pads.
Staying at the OFF GRID cabin July 2021
มุมมอง 573 ปีที่แล้ว
We went down to stay at the cabin for a couple of nights. I have some snow guards to install on the metal roof, to keep the snow and ice from wrecking my gutters again, like last winter. We got down there a little after 9 o'clock and the grass was 2 feet tall. I had to fire up the lawn mower and cut some paths. I also end up building a small tool shed to keep the garden tools and axes. They wer...

thanks i have a 5000 watts one.
Look man i am sorry but you just ruined a beautiful natural water formation only for little water nothing that you and your family can use you should have gone to the lowest point in your land or beside the spring like by 10 metres and dug a shallow well lots of videos on the internet on how to do it and they are cheap and reliable. Good digging
I'm looking at getting this tomorrow, you still liking it after a year?
yes I haven't had to use very much. But everytime I start it, it fires right up. Just put some stabil in the gas tank. Meets my power needs. It is loader than the other champion Inverter Generator, but still works great
Get it if you haven't already! I have the same unit and it's a beast! Been about 4 months now of everyday usage 18 to 21 hours straight and you'd swear I'm hooked up to a pole. Only complaint I have is the carbon monoxide detector and it is a little louder than most other brands. The detector seems to be a bit sensitive so be careful as to how you position it. Make sure you have good ventilation. Other than that, it's freaking awesome! I use it on 89 octane with a fuel stabilizer and other additive and again AVERAGE 18-21 hrs of straight usage with a 13k BTU ac and frig running the whole entire time. The tank is 4.7 gallons big.
What did your fuel economy go to after you did this?
I gained about 3.5 miles per gallon on the highway
How many hours did this take? Trying to decide if I have time today.
I don't remember how long it took. I also did the exhaust that weekend. Probably 3 - 4 hours broke up over the 2 days that I worked on it. It depends on how stubborn some of the bolts are to get out.
3:04 he pulled a fire alarm
I was about to buy one but that shit is loud af
It is pretty loud. I bought the dual fuel inverter generator and it is much quieter. Noise level comparable to the Honda generators.
Can't see !
I've seen another push the line through. Didn't have to remove the line filter
If I do the delete without a tuner is the truck still drive able? Just with a check engine light? Can you send me a link for the tuner you used?
Not sure. I put the tuner on before I drove it ( after the EGR and CAT and DPF delete). It will have a check engine light on for sure. It may go into limp mode where it will limit the power and drivability. The tuner was the most expensive part. You can clear any check engine codes with your tuner.
Is your neighbor a jackoff bc he’s cleaning his car or bc he’s doing it while you’re filming?
Did you hook up the battery connection to enable the electric start function?
Yes. It was already hooked up to the battery I just needed to plug in the connector. Works good. Starts right up. My wife likes this electric start even though it starts really easy with the pull start
Hi did it power everything in the rv ? What air conditioner did use the to roof air conditioner.. ?
Yes it powered everything. I have 2 air conditioners. I only ran the one in the main living/kitchen area. The other is in the bedroom. I didn't try running them both.
Sorry totally that blue piece that you plugged into the generator I can't think of it right now then you plugged in your RV do you need that blue piece or can I just plug the RV straight in
Its an adapter for 50 amp 220V to 30 amp 110 V. The Generator doesn't have a 50 amp outlet, only a 30 amp outlet and and 2 regular 15 amp outlets.. It will run everything in the camper including AC and Microwave. I did not try to run both AC's.
When you plugged in that piece I can't think of the name into the generator then you plugged in
Where did u order cv axels?
Don't remember. I did a Google search. The factory axle had reverse threads on the left side, but all the after market axles i found didn't differentiate between right or left sides, they both were regular threaded.
THINK ABOUT THIS, IF THEY CAN'T RUN OR START, HOW DID THEY GET THERE AND ARE ALL PARKED SO NICE IN LINES, SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT?
I'm not sure how they got there or how they were parked. I stopped and checked it out when I was passing through, because I had seen another youtuber post a video on this. That video is where I got the information on why they were stored there. There could be another reason that they all all there. Lack in sales, over inventory. There is a reason that they are being stored instead of being shipped to dealerships.
Where /how u mount winch? U weld flat plate to brush guard and then bolt winch to plate? Imma be doing mine soon just got this 4 wheeler
Yes. The mounting plate is welded on and the winch is bolted to the mount.
Ok thank you. I seen others and they put them inside the brush guard i didn't want to do that cuz the rads right there so imma be doing it like this. Have u had chance to use the winch ?
@@highlifegoodlife5400 Yes . I used it to try and pull down a tree that I cut down that was hung up. The quad didn't have enough so I hooked my truck up to the quad and pulled it. The cable broke but the welds and the mounting hardware held up.
Imma be using a synthetic rope instead of cable and putting a plow on it. I just recently baried it in 3.5 ft of snow and broke the front sprocket for the 4x4.
I can’t imagine they towed all those trucks there.. what a PITA.. I wonder how long they’ve been there this was going on a year+ ago but are they different trucks or the same ones?
Not sure
I bought this same generator today. First pull I was ready to go. Powers the cabin just fine. I recommend it right out of the box. Maintenance is key. My brother has the 7000 watt and it's broke down due to non maintenance
I have the same machine. Where did you buy your shocks?? Both my fronts are original and completely dead.
I don't remember where I ordered. My front shocks were completely shot. They would bottom out every little bump. I will see if I can find them again and then post
I found them at a couple of websites. I don't remember the site that I ordered them from, but they are on ebay. I just Googled the year make and model and front shocks. The brand I bought were made by Bronco. They are a little stiffer than the OE stock shocks
Thank you for the video! Mines almost finished however I noticed the crank case ventilator interferes with the blue coolant bypass hose. Did you use an extrusion/spaced bolt on the side of the mounting plate to mount the ventilator tube to?
can you ruin a spring by digging to deep?
I don't think so. It only needs to be as deep as long as you have water flow and depending on the containment you make. You want to get as close to the source so there less likely to have contamination.
Why do you have to remove brackets?, i just bought this but it came out of box. It works perfectly just curious why the brackets have to be removed
It had warning tag saying to remove shipping brackets. Not sure what purpose they serve.
Brackets are for shipping only motor is on rubber mounts so it can shake around when running if u run it with the brackets on it u risk cracking the motor the motor is meant to vibrate on the rubber motor mounts like a vehicle
Instead of toilet paper, get baby wipes, it’s cleaner, smaller, compact, u get more uses, an u can do a hobo bath an clean your body all in one
Most people have the basics. They need to have the mindset to recognize the possible hazards and get it organized. What household does not have an extra backpack or can't find one at salvation army? It is not a money issue. It is a priority issue. Minus the 1911, the dollar tree could outfit most. It would not be perfect, but it would be ready. I might make some different choices but you are ready. Good job.
I can't hear anything you're saying. Why are you whispering?
Looks like a good setup. That coffee filter pretty slick idea and those unions between the barrels also smart
Hello. Useful items in your bag to give you more to work with and options just in case. Besides it gives a home for the gear and supplies. I, like many like yourself do what i can to be prepared and proactive. stay cool down south and all the best from CR.
Thats the easy part, show how you got the FIRST flat surface to work with tho .

You can't survive without starting to assemble your supplies. Great video have a great day and keep looking for that better tomorrow.

Damn right

It’s a start.
Just bought one of these and it starts and runs right out if box but doesn't produce electricity any idea's?
Not sure why it wouldn't producing electricity.
Push the resets buttons directly over top the receptical
Thanks for the video. Just bought the same one today. Mostly curious about how loud it was.
Thanks for the video. Just purchased the same one today. I was mainly curious about how load it actually was. Going to be using it for our camper once in a while and backup and backup for refrigerators and freezers in there are extended power outages

You have a beautiful spot there, I only been to WV one time camping on the Greenbrier river and it was gorgeous there.
Your spot is beautiful, I only been to WV one time camping on greenbrier river was one of the most beautiful places I ever camped.
Did you have to install a tuner to avoid the check engine light constantly staying on?
Yes. You will have check engine codes pop up .
@@appalachianmountainliving6231 do you install the tuner before or after the install of the delete kit?
@@SgtSlime365 I installed it after
Where did you get the egr delete kit from
Don't remember where I ordered it from. I ordered the EGR delete kit and the exhaust system like 5 years ago. I didn't purchase the tuner for a couple of years later. Then I installed everything. All of this stuff requires you to check that it'll only be used off road or for racing.
Motor sounds horrible
It runs great. Starts right up every time. That's all I need it to do.
That’s how it’s supposed to sound. It’s a 2 stroke…
2 Stroke! It's running fine. Sounds just like the old Polaris snowmobiles.
Is there any programming that needs to be done after the install?
Yes. If not you will have check engine light
New sub making sure it sticks with a comment
How much many?
Love how you skipped over the center bolt for the egr cross tube 🤣🤣🤣
It’s like an 11mm or so bolt that holds it to the head. The coolant hose is in the way so you have to push it out of the way and use a 1/4 extension
I am stuck at 67 miles until lockout on my off-road truck. I paid $180 for the dealer to diagnose it as a bad pump, I was hoping it just needed cleaned out... I was about to take this to a shop that quoted me $2800 for everything but it looks like its not that difficult and I do all my maintenance myself anyways. I've found the EGR/ Pipe to be pretty cheap, around $400 for both, and it looks like the RaceMe is about all that will work and that's $1200. If I were to do this myself and try and save some cash on having it tuned would the truck drive to the dealership? Am I better off getting my own tuner or having it tuned at the shop?
Most tuners are pre-tuned to work with a stock engine. If you have more thing s done to the engine like changed out injectors (more fuel) or different turbo you will want to get a custom tune for the higher performance accessories. Its not that difficult to remove EGR and straight pipe exhaust.
