Locating water on our property. Developing a fresh water spring.

Exploring our property, searching for potential water sources. We find several areas that had water flowing out of the hillside. Picked the one closest to our camp and start trying to capture some of the water so we can use it. I ordered some stuff from Carolina Water tanks, a plastic dam and a Spring box.

can you ruin a spring by digging to deep?

I don't think so. It only needs to be as deep as long as you have water flow and depending on the containment you make. You want to get as close to the source so there less likely to have contamination.

Look man i am sorry but you just ruined a beautiful natural water formation only for little water nothing that you and your family can use you should have gone to the lowest point in your land or beside the spring like by 10 metres and dug a shallow well lots of videos on the internet on how to do it and they are cheap and reliable. Good digging
