@kawakarma I know you know 👌😄 I love mine.. It'll always be my favourite bike (unless I finally get my hands on an RC30 😄)...The GSXR is a brilliant bike, for sure quicker, & handles better than the ZXR.. They're relatively cheap to buy too so..get one bought 😉👍

@user-hh9cu2px9g Thanks for the comment my friend.. & I absolutely did get lucky with the VFR, low miles & completely original, including the long rear mudguard (not fitted, but goes with the bike). I almost purchased an earlier VFR, an '89, gen 2 I think? It was also white, and looked great..from 5 meters away. So I'm glad I passed on it & found this RC36. 👍 I have never owned a VFR, so I'm learning about them daily.. A Ducati 888 is up there as one of my top 4 bikes, particularly the SP's, beautiful bikes! I totally agree with re: bikes with a licence losing propensity.. but at 52 my crazy days are behind me, & I'm happy just to pootle around 😊 That's a lovely pair of bikes you have, the '91 900SS is an underrated Ducati, it still has that old school aircooled vibe. @waynester71 hopefully lol, I put a new shock on my it transformed the bike. ,I haven't ridden mine much lately but seeing your beautiful vfr750 has pushed me into getting mine out changing the oil and filter and giving it a good clean and pamper

Thanks bro, much appreciated.. I like the red too, but it was always a white VFR that I wanted. I just love the clean look of them. 😁 It can be just as expensive here too.. bike tax is/was generally cheaper than a car, but cars are now taxed based on their emissions, so it could be £20/year or £700+/year for a car.. Bikes are based on cc, so around £117/year for a 600cc & above. But I only tax mine for 6 months during summer. In the winter you can take them off the road and declare a SORN (statutory off road notification) which is free once declared. On top of that there is the yearly safety check, MOT.. so it starts to add up. Governments mate, it seems no matter the country, they know how to shaft their motorists and citizens for every penny they have! 😏 Appreciate the comment my friend 😁👍🏼

Cheers mate, true.. the R1's engine steps all over the Blades.. I bought an '01 in 2002, px'd my 916 for it.. Nice bike, but wish I'd kept the 916 tbh, especially given prices now for them 💁‍♂️

The exhaust system is in great condition, but I have ordered the Black Widow stainless steel manifold..you can’t go wrong with shiny down pipes 😁👌🏼 I wish I had bought one of these years ago though.. brilliant bike! I had a similar experience in 1991 when I bought my first ZXR, and remember very well having a bar to bar end tank slap! The OG ZX10 was a beast of a bike too.. I had a GPZ1000RX 10 years ago, that predated the ZX10.. heavy bike, but quick in a straight line 😄👍

@@waynester71 The RX was a lemon, though my buddy loves them and has 6 of them now. I fitted a ZZR1100 block and head on my ZX10 and bored it to 1109cc, stage 7 Dynojet kit, and lots more. 138 at the wheel up from 118. The ZX headlight was the best ever with 100W or 140W mains. The ZX cracks the rear engine mounts. I had a GPZ900 with an Eagle 4-1 and a Ledar carb kit. Nothing could better my top speed, 750 turbo's, GSX-R 1100 slabbies etc. I hit 165mph on the clock. I have a 2020 S1000RR M Package now at 63 yo.

I tend to rotate what bikes I use each year.. and I have a multi policy which is usually around £300 to cover 3 or 4 bikes. The other costs not usually considered is servicing, which I do myself.. but 7 lots of engine oil adds up 😄

Lol, sorry mate.. 😄 The ‘98 is sometimes called the ugly duckling of the 1st gen Blades, with everyone clamouring for the ‘92/‘93 bikes.. but the ‘98 is the better bike, especially mechanically. It rides so good too, not massive power, but just enough power, along with that chassis, it handles superb.. If and when I sell it, I will miss it.. Cheers mate, stay safe too 👍🏼

Totally agree.. & thank you my friend, much appreciated.. Today’s bikes are incredible (& not exactly cheap), but they don’t really interest me as much. This is my first VFR, yet I've had bikes since '89! I agree, I love it too.. just a very capable, comfortable bike..that sounds great with those gear driven cams 😎 Definitely get another, there's always room for a VFR 😁 Cheers for commenting 👍

@@waynester71 I had one 20 years ago.... And bought one again 2 years ago in deep shirt condition, totally redone as brand new, 99 model too, live to ride it, feels like I'm 20 again. Was a superb engine and a great bike to ride. Definitely a colector bike. Also have a gsxr 600 from 2006... Love it... Only vehivle i bought brand new! Still perfect condition, beautiful funny bike, reving 16000 rpm in a F1 sound. Cheers bro
