Thank you Julian, awesome comment! Each bike means something to me, either a bike I once owned & loved, or a bike I always wanted to own.. & each one makes me smile everyday😊 If I had a bigger garage, I’d fill it with more bikes 😄 Cheers my friend 👍🏼
Cheers buddy, much appreciated 👍🏼 This is my my first VFR, and it’s only once you look closely and ride one that you see how good Honda made it.. I’ll be hanging onto this bike for a while 😄👌🏼
You’re now the proud owner of arguably the best motorcycle ever built. I too have a ‘91 VFR RC36 and it’s still a brilliantly modern motorcycle. 150,000 of virtually trouble free kilometres! It’s a keeper, as you’ll find out! The CBR1000F is another great motorcycle, I had a ‘91 in white, blue and red. Sorry today I sold it.
Thanks mate. That's brilliant.. I'm amazed at the mileage VFRs can do, without bother too. I am really pleased with finding this example.. My first ride was everything I thought it would be! 👍 I'll be holding onto mine as well for many years. I bought the CBR1000F last year.. another excellent bike.. 😊
Now on my second RC36! Best all round motorcycle I ever owned. That one of yours is immaculate for its year, even better than mine! Enjoy it and look after it and it will serve you well for many years.
Thanks Ade, I am definitely going to hang onto this one.. The exhaust system is in great condition, but I have ordered the Black Widow stainless steel manifold..you can’t go wrong with shiny down pipes 😁👌🏼 I wish I had bought one of these years ago though.. brilliant bike! Cheers for commenting my friend 😎🤙🏽
Cheers mate, I totally agree.. its amazing that this bike is 33 years old! It could still sell today I think? Took it for it's first ride today and loved it 😁👌
Hi. That is a very nice machine. Looks superb in white and runs as sweet as a nut. A keeper for sure and will only increase in value as the years go by. I love Honda V4s, having owned a '97 VFR750FA and two VFR1200Fs. Good luck with the ownership and no need to apologise for being a clean freak, as I'm a chip off the same block! Take care.
Cheers David, it's always good to hear from those who have owned these bikes themselves.. I have really clicked with this bike, it just looks & rides, so well.. Thanks for commenting.. Off I go to polish some more 😄👍
Thanks mate.. it is super clean & rides so good. Totally different experience to my other bikes, especially the big TLR.. but that bike is a beast! 😁 Appreciate the comment bud 👍
Totally agree.. & thank you my friend, much appreciated.. Today’s bikes are incredible (& not exactly cheap), but they don’t really interest me as much. I like to work on my bikes, and 90s era bikes make that still possible.. plus paint schemes in the 90s were just so damn cool!😄 Cheers mate for the comment 👍🏼
Nice! I nearly bought a Gen 2 ‘89 I think, pearl white VFR that’s for sale on eBay at the moment. It wasn’t quite in the condition I was hoping it was, but I do love the first generation VFR’s.. This is my first VFR ever, in 35 years of riding..& I love it, especially as I got a white one! 😁👍🏼 Much appreciated the comment my friend, cheers 👍🏼

Thanks MrJdh… Considering she’s 33 years old, she’s not bad.. I’m a bit of a polisher too so, I love my bikes to look sparkly 😄 Much appreciated comment my friend, ride safe too 👍🏼

Absolutely beautiful. In '91 it was the red one that took my fancy. Is it expensive in the UK to keep bikes on the road with road tax/registration? Here in Queensland, Australia, the annual tax for a bike is similar to a car!
Thanks bro, much appreciated.. I like the red too, but it was always a white VFR that I wanted. I just love the clean look of them. 😁 It can be just as expensive here too.. bike tax is/was generally cheaper than a car, but cars are now taxed based on their emissions, so it could be £20/year or £700+/year for a car.. Bikes are based on cc, so around £117/year for a 600cc & above. But I only tax mine for 6 months during summer. In the winter you can take them off the road and declare a SORN (statutory off road notification) which is free once declared. On top of that there is the yearly safety check, MOT.. so it starts to add up. Governments mate, it seems no matter the country, they know how to shaft their motorists and citizens for every penny they have! 😏 Appreciate the comment my friend 😁👍🏼
I tend to rotate what bikes I use each year.. and I have a multi policy which is usually around £300 to cover 3 or 4 bikes. The other costs not usually considered is servicing, which I do myself.. but 7 lots of engine oil adds up 😄
Hi Wayne, An incredible find that VFR FM or is it the FL? 1990 and 1991 had ever so slightly different decals. I much prefer your one. I thought about getting one a year or two ago. I do prefer the red/ white wheels one however the white was a very close second. Wow it's even got the little side stand fairing. Absolutely beautiful. I'm still reducing my bikes. I think my red H2 is sold. Prior to recommissioning it £3000 I just don't have the energy to maintain them all. A few yes but not more than a few. Can I ask you what you payed for that lovely VFR please. And finally a question about your old fireblade:- That fuel filter. Did you put that one on it ? Was there one there originally? My rrt doesn't have one so I automatically thought there's one in the tank? H'mmm Best regards.
Hi mate, you sold your ZXR? £3000? That's a lovely bike, £3k seems too low.. but I know the market is a bit slow at the moment.. Cheers mate, it's an FL, '91.. I'm learning slowly about VFR nomenclatures slowly 😄 I paid £3995 for it, from a main dealer, but it had the valve clearances checked, serviced, mot's & new front tyre.. There's not many left in this condition. It also came with a rare uncut undertray which I've stored, & a high level Delkevic exhaust. You're right, there is a filter sock in the tank but as I just cleaned the carbs I thought I'd put extra protection in place. Cheers for the comment as usual Colin 👍
If you want to sell the Delkevic let me know. I’ve had my Blue (black) FN for 30 years, wonderful machine. The looks just don’t seem to age. Will never sell it.
You'd be fine. It's fairly easy once you're used to the v-twin power delivery.. It's an awesome bike to ride, especially when you open the throttle! 😄👍
Thanks mate, there's just something about a white VFR 😎🤍 The Blade will be up for sale as soon as it's running & purring again. I've just cleaned the carbs and about to replace the spark.plugs. It hasn't been used for 4 years so the carbs were full of green crud! 🤢
@@waynester71 yeah the white just stands out, good find :) Drop me a message when you put the fireblade up for sale with details and price mate, I’ve been after a decent 900 blade for a while in the original colours prior to your Repsol kit. Cheers mate
