  • After 4 years of non use, I have the Fireblade up & running.. That's the carbs off and cleaned (multiple times in the sonic bath, new o rings etc..), new oil, filter & coolant.
Completed the bike in a REPSOL scheme as I fancied a different look.. All the original fairing & tank is with the bike also.
Next, MOT & list for sale

Thanks bro.. I’m pleased it’s running after 4 years languishing at the back of my garage.
Mot next and then it’ll probably be sold as I need some space back.. My garage is a bit tight now 😄
      Always appreciate your comments 😁👍🏼

How many miles? Wondering how difficult and costly is to send a bike from UK to US?

Still enough power to get you into serious trouble! Beautiful bike, the new owner will be a lucky guy.

Exactly right, wind the throttle on & the Fireblade can still move! 🔥 On the road, it's all you need tbh
      Cheers dude 👍

Thanks, it’s turned out pretty well.. The fairing was a pain to fit, but you just have to jiggle it..a lot actually! 😄

What is it with you and my dream bikes haha,919 98' was always my fav(barely in front of 954 and urban tiger 900,and just beneath the unobtainium evo TT 100 fireblade 919),one headlamp but still smaller front wheel and those old school "speedholes",i dont care if zx9r 98' was faster or the R1 overall better, this is the lady i would bring home to meet my parents
Stay safe and sell it to someone who knows rather then just some heretic with the money...

Lol, sorry mate.. 😄 The ‘98 is sometimes called the ugly duckling of the 1st gen Blades, with everyone clamouring for the ‘92/‘93 bikes.. but the ‘98 is the better bike, especially mechanically. It rides so good too, not massive power, but just enough power, along with that chassis, it handles superb.. If and when I sell it, I will miss it..
Cheers mate, stay safe too 👍🏼

@@waynester71 I guess after all these time it became a beautiful swan.Or is it just my childhood nostalgia kicking in after seeing 919s.I know the first gen is a timeless classic,as is your zxr 750,but this bike is just tailored for me.if u sell it,money could go for some carb fed Yamaha, maybe 98'/99' R1,that would complete the Big Four collection 🙃

    Hi Wayne,
    Nice...
I didn't think I'd ever sell my 1996 rrt blade but last night I thought...
Put it on marketplace and see if there's any interest at £2800.
    Best regards.

      Hi Colin,
Thanks my friend.. I’ll be selling this bike too. I need some space back, and it’s the only bike I don’t really have a connection with 💁🏻‍♂️

It's a interesting concept jelling with a motorcycle isn't it.
At the end of the day they're just an inanimate object or are they?
      H'mmmm
