Last Monday I flew the Qantas 737-800 from Sydney back to Perth and I had a lot of mixed reviews. The breakfast onboard was quite delicious with the steamed potato, baked beans and the spinach mashed with egg. However I think they could have done better by adding more bakery and other fruit. The entertainment system was quite disappointing as they got rid of the radio stations and all CD albums. They also reduced the number of movies and tv shows. On some occasions the touch screen can be unresponsive. The wifi was good and was able to connect during the flight. I was able to browse through the internet, check emails ans scores and the latest news. Overall, I didn’t mind flying on the 737-800, despite of the refresh. I think the older 737-800 are set to leave the fleet and be replaced by a321neo.

The eva air 777 reminds me of the Hanoi-Taipei flight I been on Eva airways is my favourite also I saw an Asiana 777-200er both here and at Seoul I also remember it as the asjana 214 plane 💀 4:26

You should fly Shanghai airlines from pudong to Melbourne I also saw a china southern 787 at Noi bai once lol

I don’t really understand why Air China doesn’t fly and never flew to Pyongyang (NK) while Air China flies to Seoul, Tokyo, Moscow etc.

I've never been to terminal 4 at Melbourne. Is there a Qantas lounge? (Jetstar PAX can obviously use it) I know in Sydney there's nothing.

Good on Jetstar for the uniqueness and dedication to the random routes that other airlines won’t or can’t fly

I flew Cathay last month SYD - HKG - LHR and then back again on both the a350-900 and -1000. Really enjoyed it. Great crews, great FAs and the IFE was very good.

I would pick Virgin over Qantas or Jetstar no question. The secret is to do what I did last time I flew and buy food and drinks at the airport to take on board to avoid paying the obscene on-board prices for Virgin food and other than that, the prices are not that bad. The seats (at least on their 737s) are comfortable enough for even longer flights between, say, Brisbane and Perth and the service level is decent. And the food selection at the Virgin terminal at Perth Airport is light-years ahead of what the Qantas terminal has to offer. Plus Virgin doesn't cancel a flight and only tell people its canceled long after the decision has been made.

I have a checked bag 23.4 kg … will they charge for fee because of 0.4 kg more ? With Iberia economic airlines … any information , I appreciate it. From USA

In my day flying from Melbourne to Hobart, TAA would stop in Launceston. Every sector you received a hot meal on a tray, even Launceston to Hobart ❤❤❤ the good old days

Good review on the 737. Southern China isn't a bad airline. But there website is terrible to use. You need to be a member to do anything and it's not the easiest to register for someone overseas. It's improved since you can register with an email now. Previously only chinese mobile. If you wanted to add international number you need Southern China desk to add this. Normally in China. I flew them ages ago and l remember the lady kept on saying tea in chinese.

Nice bit of footage of VH-SEF, recently acquired by Sharp Airlines but the marks of its previous owner (Air Chathams) still clearly visible! The entire Sharp Airlines operation in Launceston is very interesting, if a little dated, their terminal certainly is!

Virgin has a new menu again!

I think Virgin are hemorrhaging money. So until Qatar 🇶🇦 get in to buy some shares, I can't see it changing.
