The 717 was the first aircraft I flew in business class and the first time I travelled alone with my brother and my grandparents at that time back in 2017
@@Aviation763 Yah I agree. Whenever I'm out plane spotting in my neighbourhood, I always take pictures and videos of 717s while I still can before they're gone. And especially at the Airports
Heh. You did what I did for my (probably) final 717 ride. I went in 21A. The really nuce agentbin the Business Lounge proactively offered to move me up to row 5 or something, but I picked 21 for that viee! :) good stuff!
Yeah cool! Yeah I could’ve gone near the front too but I didn’t want to do that because there won’t be many more chances to get the engine view the 717 offers.
Just did flights this week Melbourne -Canberra on A220. Canberra-Melbourne B717. The Melb-Can flight was early morning flight. Flights delayed due to fog. The later scheduled B717 flight took off 10mins before our flight. Both flights had to circle due to fog in Canberra. The B717 returned to melb, the A220 circled for quite a while longer before we landed in Canberra. A great video of landing in Canberra in fog. Didn’t see ground until just before landing.
Greetings from Rome. I arrive in Rome almost half an hour ago on Wizzair, Airbus A321neo for the 1st time from Budapest, flight is almost full, flight is good and okay, 1 hour and 20 minutes besides the half an hour delay, Wizzair, Airbus A321 and the neo, the lavatory is standard, but almost small, the sink is small and tiny, it's the size of my hand (same when I flew Wizzair, Airbus A321 from Tel Aviv to Athens last week Tuesday, it's good and okay, almost similar flight), wow.
Excellent video, my friend! My friend Paul Stewart also a fellow Australian 🇦🇺 recently flew several flights with the Qantas B717 and I am sad to see that they will all be retired soon! Luckily, I live in Detroit DTW which is a hub for Delta Airlines and their fleet of B717 aircraft, hope to catch a ride on one of theirs this summer as they will fully retire their B717 fleet by October 2024, unfortunately… 😢 Cheers 🥂 mate still what a great video I think the B717 looks the most beautiful in the Qantas colors and I’m sad to see it will no longer be around… 😊 -Caleb’s Aviation
Thank you! Yeah I saw that. Is Delta retiring their 717s by October? I thought it was a bit later than that. Qantas is also planning to retire theirs by the end of October. Thanks again! Yeah it’ll be sad to see it go :(
The shortest flight is similar to Qatar airways from Doha to Dubai, it's a 40 minute flight, this time, they serve a full meal fast and quick becase it's a short flight, even though they use the widebody like Boeing 777 and Airbus A350s, wow, interesting.

That’s awesome! Yeah the 717 holds some memories for me too, it’ll be very sad to see it go :(

You’ll have to check out the new qantas business lounge in Adelaide when it gets built
Yeah that’s exciting!
I went on a Jetstar B717 when i was 4 one time!
That’s so cool!
Nice to have a glimpse of the 717. Thanks
You’re welcome :D

Hello! Thanks for sharing!
I had my last flight on the beautiful 717 bird at easter. Farewell. Next flight is A220. Am looking forward to that
🥲. The A220 is a nice plane to fly on, enjoy!
What an iconic aircraft to fly on! :)
Was it warm and noisy near the engines?
Yeah it’s such an iconic design. Not really warm as I wasn’t right next to it, but it is noisy yeah.

Really?! They serve a full meal from DOH-DXB? Wow
Yes.
Can you please fly from Melbourne to Auckland and from Auckland to Napier so you can review the atr 72 and so I can meet you
Maybe at some point, but I don’t see it happening in the near future sorry
they were gonna retire it this month but i heard its been delayed due to not enough pilots + PW engine problems + only 2 aircraft so far
Yeah, I didn’t know abt the engine problems but that makes sense, I believe retirement is now scheduled for October.
@@Aviation763 Thats interesting, glad I have more time til then to hop on a flight
Are you back in Australia
No not yet
My name I Rory to and we should meet up on a flight sometime I'm 13 years old btw
Cool! Sorry but I don’t really do meetups…
Idk why dash 8s taxi with 1 engine
I assume it’s to save fuel, as they don’t need it to taxi.
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
😭
B717 is gone
Almost it seems :(
I flew it just a few months ago such a shame that Qantas will be retiring these beauties 😢
Yeah 😢
Amazing review mate, sad to see the 717 retire soon
Thank you! Yeah :(
