The Universal x86 app has a new graphical interface, it seams they rearranged and changed the TDP options...I prefered the old style

Hi i have ryzen 5 5600h rtx 3050 no thermal throttling but tdp stuck at 35 watt but it's mentioned in cpuz 45 watt, but it never reaches 45 watt even temp are 78*c max, no thermal issue extreme utility tool won't even work.

the reason manufacturers spam so many promo units to anyone who will give them publicity is because there's really very little to distinguish one brand from the next beyond how they are promoted. all the manufacturers are ultimately buying the same parts for the same price, and so it's marketing that makes the difference between their success and failure more than anything else. this is often the case with products that are heavily advertised, generally speaking.

Is a mini pc a realistic option if you ARE doing content creation though, and I think I speak for a lot of people who are considering doing content creation but want answers to that question. Obviously we all want a computer that's powerful enough to stream, game, do basic office work, have multiple windows open. That's the basic ground level of expectation for tech these days period. Can it do audio cutting, can mini pc's successfully multitask audio and video editing while potentially gaming or running Microsoft word while exporting? Are mini pc's capable of that level of output without there being major overheating problems and have you personally tested products that boast such capability? If so can you please give links to those videos?

the pc scene will radically change when we will achieve good price-performance ratio for gaming mini pc (as of now its still too high) but as things are going, a couple of year and minisforum will be one of the top brands in the pc market

I love my AOC monitor I have had it for 7 years and it is still flawlessly doing its native 1080p job. Just an anecdotical vote for AOC build quality.

For $399 USD you can get 1 TB nvme instead with other 5700u mini pcs. or get a 500Gb for $40 USD less. AceMagic has gone by many brand names including AceMagician, Kamrui, and NiPoGi. So a famous spyware installing company to add further risk.

This is a 2011 game. I can't fathom why this specs can run Skyrim at High Settings when the video card back then was less powerful

Might do this if I already had the PC. But, I wouldn't bother gathering the whole thing together from scratch. The 70 bucks would be to extend the useful life a bit. Buying it all, means you are starting at that point.

Welcome back. I like AOC. I really do. I have two monitors from them, one with IPS panel from 2011 which still works fine and looks better than 95% of monitors out there. You mentioned that iGPUs will see another massive leap in performance in 2024. Do you have anything specific in mind? From what I see the problem with this APU is (for me at least) the AMD drivers. AMD lacks behind Nvidia driver support, by a long long way. So you can literally buy this new PC and already have limited if any graphics driver support. That's just unacceptable. Of course what are the alternatives other than buying a newer model of AMD APU? Nvidia has no APUs, and Intel is even worse in driver support than AMD. More or les this kills any usage for this (or similar) mini PCs for anything that isn't running older software which do not receive new updates. Sad really, but entirely AMD's fault. I mean, my GTX860M STILL receives (for now) new drivers and we are talking about a 2014 mid tier laptop. Where this APU was released in 2021. Disgusting. As for the Mini PC, it's not bad on its own, but for the issues I mentioned, really not the first choice and definitely not for anything more than a couple of hundred of Euros for that alone. Interesting how the naming patterns repeats among brands. I just ordered the nipogi am16 with similar spec equipped with the ryzen 5 pro 5675u for €290. Interestingly there are no English reviews on yt about minis with that apu. Curious how big the jump from zen 2 to zen 3 is.

Is the P3 worth the extra $150 over the P1? I was thinking about ordering the BOSGame P1 until I seen this review for the P3 but I might go with the P1 still if theres not really all that much noticable difference between the 2 models.

You should point out that there is a difference between a 2400G and a 2400GE, the E apparently slows it down...

I just bought one for Mom. It has more power than her old oversized beast. I wiped Windows 11 and loaded MX23 KDE on it. It really works well. I hope it lasts as long as the old one.

Did you try to set the vram to higher GB to get a better gaming result? i doubt you did that. The 780M works at 1080p with 4-8gb, at some games are 12-16gb vram needed to work fine. Less GB result into outsourcing it on the ram, which if its also not enough, outsource it on the M.2 SSD which cause very bad performance.
