96GB is more for heavy video editing with audio editing (or even game developing) with other programs running in the back. Because when you move, render, edit, recording etc etc, all that sometimes do take up lot of ram. 96GB ram would definitely help now & won't be used up just yet. But in a year or two. with VR and A.i advancing, this 96 GB ram will 100% can handle all the editing, gaming, rendering etc. But once again, is only IF YOU are doing those type of work. If you're just watching 4K videos with xxx 4K playing in the background daily, then there's really no point buying this

Why are you using only 3200 ram for the 5600G and 6400 for the 8600G? That's not fair! At least use 4000 ram for the 5600G if you are going for high performance like with the 6400 ram that is way above the AMD's stupid recommended ram speeds! Or if you don't have 4000 ram then use the stupid stock speeds for BOTH APUs, not just for the 5600G! "Sorry", but this video is wrong.

Intel and AMD need to improve. Intel's prices are too high for their specs, while the Mac M4 offers great performance at a lower cost. A Mac mini M4 could be cheaper than building an AMD setup that matches its performance. AMD is not the ideal choice for video editing or Adobe software applications. In comparison, Intel and Nvidia perform well in these tasks. ..

Do you use Windows or Linux for a server? Or maybe FreeBSD? I use headless Linux currently, but I am not familiar how to run Windows headlessly.

Power draw does matter. Some Third World countries actually have high bill as for electricity. May not be in your country's, but there are also a lot who take this into consideration.

APUs really have become a good "console" desktop experience, although often half to a full generation behind the actual consoles. Your video shows them at their absolute peak, I like that :) If it wasn't for mini PCs undercutting these handily, it wouldve been as interesting as they were back in the days. Between the expensive cost of DIY components and that both desktop and mini PCs are memory bound, the proposition of a desktop APU system is not a very good one

So how much power was the 8600G and 5600G drawing? Less than 100W seem quite a decent tradeoff for 8600G's performance in games. Most modern discrete GPU would chew through 100W at the loading screen.

The 8600G is about 2X faster than a 5600G that is good progress but you had to upgrade everything which is pricey. But the integrated GPUs are not comparable to a dedicated graphics card, and the benchmarks show you really aren't CPU limited. The RTX6600 a budget gaming card is $200 but is over twice as fast as the 780M. Even if your current ITX case can't fit a graphics card, you can mount an ITX MB in most ATX or mATX cases.

I agree, My Samsung TV is linked to TIZEN Which means it controls what I want to watch or download. So it is not a smart TV therefore I need an android box, Wuth a "Smart?? TV" Bullcrap..... Great video Thanks

Could this mini pc run lethal company?

Biggest difference to me is size and cost. Once I get above 30-40fps I stop noticing much difference unless it jumps around. Most itx PCs I've start around $1000 vs $300.

Mini PC's have a come along way in the last year or so. Some come with docking stations that can support the Mini PC and the GPU the only down side is the PCI interface between the Mini PC and Docking station is only PCIe X8. Saying that what is the transfer rate of the OCuLink in comparison to a PCIe- X16?

I have a similar pc from Minisforum, it's really good. It does all "normal" tasks (web surfing, office turbotax) etc really well. It cost me ~$300 1 1/2 years ago.

The Windows update really helped the Vega system (really all AMD systems). It made a huge difference from older test runs. However the 6600H was really helped by the 660m being double the power of the Vega graphics that made up for its generally slower clocks. Awesome work!

Good video. Wendel from Level 1 Tech did a video about this a while ago. An igpu will always use the amount of ram it needs, run a benchmark set to the lowest allocated ram setting and then run the benchmark again at the highest ram allocated setting, and they will be very similar/same. All allocating the ram amount does is tell the OS to always set that amount of ram aside for the igpu. There is no benefit to gaming with it set to the highest. Once I found that out, I set it lower if I am not using it for gaming. Don't ask me why it is like this, I don't know.
