I suppose I’ll just keep adding to the people who want the iOS version. Now that iOS supports secondary stores, what’re the odds we get one for Altstore or something?
Thank you for making this.
When on IOS, I need it
This video is still a holy grail
I used Rug of Smothering to hold my Krark player hostage
The krarkulator app hasn't been updated
I guess I'm late, I cannot download it...
They did my boy dockside dirty! Any recommendations on a replacement?
What is the future of this deck whit the recent moves on the banlist?
Cast Murder on Krark, or land destruction are the 2 easiest ways to beat this deck.
Awesome video :D I built this deck last week and love it! An Izzet Feather deck on steroids :D I didn't go with the graveyard / underworld breach approach though. I'm struggling to see the synergy between graveyard recursion and a "Feather" style commander and I guess there is a lot of graveyard hate anyway in cEDH. Instead I went with making clones, lots of clones and mana, primary wincon is ping damage with the mana. Alternate wincons are insurrection to swing with all the clones (and steal opponents creatures if they happen to have one that protects them), then Tasha's Hideaous Laughter (bye bye Teferi's protection) and Prologue To Phyresis and win with infect. Probably that's too many wincons but I don't play stax and graveyard recurson so I hope I can afford it. I found I do need lots of blue mana though and much of the infinite stuff tends to make red mana, so some way to generate treasures are needed for my deck. I went with Seize the spoils, Big Score etc to make treasures instead of looting. Once you have the treasures the conterspells like mana drain are just wincons in themselves... you can counter EVERYTHING :D
how can the second krark's trigger still resolve if the first trigger removes the abilities target from the stack
nvm I figured it out
I'm so confused with discord, how do I join the group? I have a Smash the Thumbless deck that is my favorite but hard to pilot could use help
Ponder in Missouri sounds like a band I’d see, for the first and last time, in a basement house show in the Midwest somewhere (Ohio or Kentucky specifically)
Hopefully coming soon to IOS means any day now. I’d probably pay for this app actually
If people weren't proxying so much the format wouldn't be so homogenous
Respectfully delivered, executed and backed up with data. Start uploading again please, only one thing makes a man go away like that, kids? 😂
This is so damn good, we need that iOS Version 😭
You guys seem intelligent but still seem dense to the obvious answer of casual vs competitive: It's about it feeling fair and with variety. It's called mtg, not "stop thassas oracle" Stax was meant to be the savior to guarantee more variety and to keep the game healthy. Two years later, cEDH is as stale as ever.
こにちわ、わたしわじょはんです、よろしくおねがいします
With all that data into consideration, how does this data take on "meta" builds? I think CZ claims are based on decks they seen.
Casual EDH is a mess of care bears and poeple that really just to be playing solitaire.
This is not a cEDH problem. This is what happens when commander goes from being a yearly product that is secondary to the standard sets and having fun in between rounds of standard and modern FNMs, to having your entire game designed and warped around it. The phrase "Too much of a good thing" absolutely applies here.
Building this deck! After watching this several times, and different gameplay videos, I can say Im comfortable. Did my first test today (simulated game) I was glad to see I have a better understanding of casting, copying, and priority. I think adding Harmonic Prodigy would be a cool "next level" part. Especially with another Magecraft creature. The ones in deck are both shamans and wizards. That means moooooooore on the staaaaaaack! 😁 I love deck. In truth, its fun, but also a good way for me to discipline myself to be patient with this game. Like that one game you played where you one with a 40-minute turn😎 Keep up the good work
This deck is my kind of deck. I just always feel bad for taking up so much of the game time. Thanks to the set up you showed, i hopefully can reduce that time significantly. So thanks :)
Guys guys guys.. this is kinda silly. I literally just had my mind changed by this video. I’m gonna play more wheels. I thought they were ok. Prob only play them in real fast decks? Cause you have to pay the mana and you aren’t the only one gaining advantage and you often can’t use the most resources the soonest. This video literally convinced me to put a wheel in my non breach Malcolm Tana and put the wheel of fortune back in my version of Malcom Kediss (also not a breach deck) You guys are missing something. There is a hive mind thing going on blinding very smart people to fairly obvious truths right in front of their eyes I think. Let me try it this way; Whoever among you have a > 38% win rate over a very large sample size.. you should consider cutting wheels. Although you’ll be exactly the players who play them w good timing and in the right decks.
I am pro proxy and what I see most people who are arguing against the "you should own real cards you play" thing is that people really do feel like they are entitled to be the only person playing with a $500 card, if they paid $500. I do not know why people may feel this way, but I suspect that a social contract, and a constructed social order are in fact, the reason why. Hasbro/WOTC expects, and the fans of the game do what is expected, even outside the realm of sanctioned events. Both the pro and anti-proxy people see the opposition as behaving in an "entitled way". "I am entitled to free cards and to play whatever fake cards I want, and call it magic" -> entitlement. "I am entitled to win and defeat your deck because I spent $8000 and you spent $5 making your deck" -> entitlement. Neither one of them are wrong. There are a lot of entitled overgrown childish people playing this game. Let's all cut out the childishness. If someone wants to play against someone else's wallet, don't judge them. If someone doesn't want to play against someone else's wallet, don't judge them. There are different formats, there are different pods and communities. I for one would spend more money at a game store that encouraged proxy driven "friday night magic" as a casual format, as opposed to a tournament focused format.
I'm glad that I'm not the only one to got that vibe from edhrec towards developers. That being said if you repeat this experiment in the future, I could probably help generate a dataset.
20 mana ramp...
Benny!!!
That looks complicated.😂
IOS?
Bro you write that play mat??
2 years later and no krarkulator for the App Store sadge
This was a good video
im getting the feeling this app will never come to ios
Hey did you quit your channel because you're able to take massive profits on crypto?
Whats your thoughts on Rite of Replication kicked to make an astronomical amount of krark copies? Too expensive? Too slow?
Any update on an iOS release? 0.0
I never would have expected madness to be meta, but I can see why since its essentially letting you draw for every card you cast.
some frens from my pods have picked up cedh with me, and some havent. the "casual only" guys have a really strange and negative attitude toward the cedh gaems and decks. i think its all gret, all types of commander ! fuck it
It’s terrifying that this video hit so hard in 2021 and is STILL if not doubly relevant now in 2024 lol
Another Jan 6th. never forget.
Equating ramp to mana sources is a false equivalency. Casual decks limited to usually one land per turn creates a vast difference between a heavy ramp approach. Emphasizing ramp over lands is what gives you the explosive mana starts that allow a competitive deck to outpace a more casual deck right out the gate.
21 draw is more than 100% more than 10 no?
Yeah screw that.
So question. In the advanced example with minds desire, you drew 11, stormed 10 times, drew again with mage and arrived back at the first krark trigger. The storm count should be 21? At this point? Now lets say you win the flip. Does the above repeat itself? MD, mage, 21 storm, 21 mage?
I started playing magic about 6 months ago and hopped right into cEDH. The LGS I go to only plays cEDH so it’s literally all I’ve known. About 2 months into playing, I went to a different LGS where there was no cEDH pods. I sat down with my Najeela deck and trounced everyone. Nobody was happy. So I agreed to use one of the players casual decks to make things more “fair”. That casual game was the most boring, longest lasting game of commander I’ve ever played. Because of that experience, I will never play casual commander. And the rule 0 thing is ridiculous. Play the cards you want to play. Oh, you keep losing? Play better cards 🤷🏻♂️
1 year later, we are most certainly in a mid range meta with splashes of turbo. Stax is dead.
"Only 31% don't have unique cards, that's not bad" uh.. yeah it is lol it's terrible. The cope in this video is hilarious. The fact they don't realize that saying thassa's oracle is cedh is a joke speaks volumes. What's funnier is he thinks it's a gotchya to say a third of decks are!😂 Same with underworld breach haha "see! Only 37% of decks are trying to win with underworld breach!" Not realizing how stupid and pathetic that is
