    The graphic(s) showing how triggers go on the stack is like how I’ve wanted a Gitrog video (that I’ve been procrastinating over a year to make) to look. Hopefully this inspires someone with more time than me, more primer writers, or content creators to make videos like this… if not me…

    Building this deck! After watching this several times, and different gameplay videos, I can say Im comfortable. Did my first test today (simulated game) I was glad to see I have a better understanding of casting, copying, and priority.
    I think adding Harmonic Prodigy would be a cool "next level" part. Especially with another Magecraft creature. The ones in deck are both shamans and wizards. That means moooooooore on the staaaaaaack! 😁
    I love deck. In truth, its fun, but also a good way for me to discipline myself to be patient with this game. Like that one game you played where you one with a 40-minute turn😎
    Keep up the good work

    Thanks for the clarification. Pretty much played it correctly last night. Was tough getting everyone's heads wrapped around my triggers but we managed. It would make sense to talk about targeting as well. There are multiple videos on TH-cam where Krark pilots don't understand that they have to announce their targets for their original spell when they put their spell on the stack and before they know how the flips turn out. Being clear about this might prevent judge calls.

    Good video, bit I still have a question, how your own counters works in this deck? Let's say your opponent cast something, you receive priority and you try to counter it with fierce guardianship with krark on play, the stack would be: opponents spell / fierce / krark's trigger. Imagine you loose the flip, so fierce doesn't resolve and goes back to your hand.
    Here is my question, do you still have priority before the opponent's spell resolve? Which means that you could cast fierce guardianship until you win the flip. Or you loose priority and the opponent's spell resolve?

  • @damianhunter4550
    @damianhunter4550 ปีที่แล้ว

    So question. In the advanced example with minds desire, you drew 11, stormed 10 times, drew again with mage and arrived back at the first krark trigger. The storm count should be 21? At this point? Now lets say you win the flip. Does the above repeat itself? MD, mage, 21 storm, 21 mage?

    How can you copy the spell with sakashima if you lost the first flip? I understand that “it doesn't care that it was put back in the hand” but why? If the original ponder is no longer there then you should not be able to copy it. Or if you can, you would logically get the cast of the ponder even if you lost the flip? How can it work differently on the sakashima trigger than on krarks own trigger?

  • @simoneprina1230

    Or the trigger is cancelled?

    • @StackedEDH
      @StackedEDH  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The triggered ability remains on the stack if Krark is removed. So if everyone passes priority on the triggered ability, it'll resolve and you'll flip a coin-then do what the flip tells you (copy the spell or return it to your hand).

    I was weirded out by the "Krark bad for tournaments" recent arguments
    I play regularly against it and it doesn't have any intrinsic quality that would make it more time consuming than other decks in the format (across several archetypes)
    I find that type of reasoning very dangerous. Time limit on rounds and judges keeping track of players playing at a reasonable pace (of which not only Krark players should be wary) are already limiting enough to keep these problems under control, without having to start a witch hunt

    You constantly stacking the two Krark trigger cards on top of whatever you are casting is just a complete waste of time. It’s one or two secs but it adds up. Two Krark triggers on an empty stack is easy to keep track of mentally so it’s totally unnecessary to do what you did.
