Pre this series I’d watched the pro shot way back when because my high school did Legally Blonde my senior year and I’ve LOVED it ever since, I was so happy when y’all started this! (I’ve also watched…maybe 1 or 2 AMV’s to There, Right There!)

I’m the only one in my family that likes musical theatre and can be heard telling my family random facts from different movies and tv shows like “the actor actually broke his foot in this scene” and my family gives me grief about focusing on things like that. But this musical helped me. I was watching a game show with my parents and the question was “based on its strict j walking laws, what country has the fastest street crossers” and I blurted out “Singapore” with so much confidence and got the answer correct and the person on the show didn’t.

In the movie I like Elle’s response more than the musical where Elle says “when I dress as a frigid bitch I try not to look so constipated” than “I see you came as last years sample sale”

It was technically my first show because they performed it at the main highschool of our district. I was in 6th grade but we got to take a trip to the high school to watch a quick snippet of the musical and I liked it so much that my family and I got tickets to go and watch and it was so good!! Was 12 then, 19 now, but it’s still one of my favorites

Before this series, I had been in a production of legally blonde as Elle's mom, the store manager in omigod (was not qualified for the job) a perfume girl in take it like a man (love that song so much), and a Harvard Student.

I really like Orange’s portrayal of Hermes as being protective of Odysseus, which makes sense because Hermes is his great-something grandfather.

Very strange. The creators of Arcane are pretty chill with people reacting to their episodes. Amanda Overton and the voice actress for Maddie even featured on the NSAF channel, and you guys do add more than she usually does in terms of transforming the content/having educational elements.

Fun fact! Eurylochus is the husband of Odysseus’ sister, Ctimene. Meaning the whole thing of them calling each other brother and considering each other as family adds a whole new layer of pain!

Something I’ve always taken from the Scylla song is that after Odysseus has it confirmed that Eurylochus betrayed him, he decides that Eurylochus will be one of the 6 men to be sacrificed. Notice how the only reason why he lives is because he hands off his torch to someone else (who ends up dying) to go help someone else. Eurylochus, once they leave Scylla’s lair, figures out that only the people who were holding torches died and that Odysseus basically tried to sacrifice him as well, which then leads to Mutiny. So in other words, the whole confirmation scene works a whole lot better if you read Odysseus’ reaction to it as him attempting to sacrifice Eurylochus because a) he told him earlier on in the story that he couldn’t have him sowing dissent amongst the crew b) he’s already proved (by opening the bag) that he can’t trust him to actually follow his commands.

this series was my introduction to legally blonde but now i am going to watch the movie and the proshot (also please tell me you guys are gonna watch treasure planet on this channel)

Strikes are scary. YT gave my orchestra a strike on a song from the 1800s, claiming we stole it another orchestra. My written dispute was full of snark about how "I can't ask the composer for permission, he's been dead for 140 years." I won, strike dropped, but still scary.

Y'know the Gloria line actually isn't really that first instance of "wait, she's really smart" because I'd argue that moment is about the dress she saw in last May's Vogue. Legit her showing that she's not just any blonde, but she's observant, can tell when people are talking down to her and trying to trick her, and she just knows how shit works, she knows her shit and went "Ohhh yeaaah! Right? This thing, yeah? Y'know that's funny cause it's actually this!"

Casper (please record yourself reading this if possible dsfksdfds), about "The Apprentice", it's this reality show where people were basically competing with each other about who was the most business savy/crative (ran for like 15 seasons, not counting ths spin-offs). At the end of every episode the host would send the loser home with the catch phrase: "[Name], you're fired" Winner would get a 1 year starting contract (worth 250k$) of promoting the host's products/properties. The host: Donald J Trump. The current President of the US. Who got fired from the show because of his remarks about Mexican immigrants

I'm not the first person to point that out, but the show is called Hamilton, because it tells the story of Alexander Hamilton AND Eliza Schuyler Hamilton. It could easily be titles "Alexander Hamilton The Musical" or something, but it's not. I find it so beautful too that her story and life is now much more well known
