Ok, I realise that this is a visuals reaction playlist/series but - if I'm misusing my musical terms, I ask for forgiveness - is anyone else a little heartbroken that Odysseus sings the first 'Penelope' of 'Would You Fall in Love with Me Again' in a *minor* key when it's usually done in a major? Because she was his light at the end of the tunnel? The one thing that kept his spirits high? But here, he's so beyond the man he once was, that even though he's so desperate to see her still that hopefulness is gone. While he still *wants* to see her, he's terrified that she'll agree with Tiresius and believe it's no longer her husband staring back at her.

Late as hell, but Torchwick is based on the character of Lampwick from Pinocchio. You might remember him from the Disney film as the brat at Pleasure Island with a cap and red hair who has a terrifying scene where he transforms into a donkey. Yep. One really cool thing about this is that the image at 21:14 looks lite it was inspired by an actual painting called The wolf and the lamb! Such an amazing detail🤩

The first animatic, I love how the thought of Odysseus coming back seems to bring back the energy of younger, love-filled days. Her eyes and her body language to how she likely was upon first marrying Ody. Her actions, walking along the banister, reflect the joy of her youth. Her design doesn't change, but you can almost imagine how she used to be just from that smile alone. It makes it clear how the worry and stress aged her more than the time itself, and it's heartbreaking to see her switch back to her current normal. I can imagine her seeming to grow younger in the months following the end of Epic, with her husband back, her son safe, and the suitors dead Also, Duvetbox's Odysseus is my absolute fav animatic of that song. Does so many interesting things that I love, and obviously the gore is amazing. I watched it not long after it came out and was very happy to see it on the thumbnail

I love how in this Odysseus song, Telemachus actually looks scared of his father because even though we, as the audience, know this reaction from Ody is reasonable due to everything he's been through Telemachus on the other hand doesn't and to add to that he's probably only heard glorified story of his father throughout his childhood. So, in this situation, Telemachus will have to either believe (A). My father is similar to how he is in the stories, and this person is just a deranged stranger in my home, killing people claiming to be my father or (B). My father is not who I thought he would be, and now he seems terrifying and unfamiliar to me. Either way, fear would be present, which is displayed really well here.

Ladybug is a specific attack pattern, not one singular combo move. Blake and Ruby are the two members of the team who share a style of attacking by dashing past their opponent, so they combo by doing that rapidly from opposite sides of their opponent to make defending nearly impossible in most cases.

Weiss using time dilation glyphs is still canon. It just got moved from a "yeah, she can do that" to a ""she knew that her semblance could theoretically do that, and she pulled it off once, under extreme stress, and now she's working to learn how to do that as a normal part of her ability" territory. This is a significant moment of growth to Weiss's powers.

My favourite part of these original RWBY trailers is that they show events in the world that precede the show, while also doing what trailers are supposed to do and leaving you with a ton of questions that you really want answers too. Weiss' fight with the armour suit explains her signature scar, and Blake and Adam's train heist, and Yang's club fight both get referenced in the show proper.
