Exciting times brother. Please keep us up on the studio build!! Can't wait to see how it comes out and what you are using for gear and such.
Will do brother... Thank you
can you make a video on how to start with a blank sd card and how to get all beat buddy content on the sd card to use.
download, "Beatbuddy manager" and you can fill you card up there.. Thanks for the shout
Congrats on your move, hope you'll be able to gig & make memories. I've had people come up & either stare or get mad because I don't play their favorite song or style. My reply to that is they don't have to listen to or even like what I do, just listen to what you want, it really doesn't bother me, LOL!!! One more thing, I ment to message you earlier, WE WON, YAY!!! Keep On Rocking Brother, Rock On & God Bless.
I think we have a better shot at hitting the power ball than getting a band together sometimes. Been in many over the years. Been trying like hell for 3yrs to get another one going. So hard to get folks together and venues that pay in my area.
Yep.... it's not a easy task these days, didn't use to be.. hard to make it a priority with stressed out musicians that are trying to make ends meet with sky rockit prices for everything .. hopefully these prices will start shrinking and artist will be a little less stress and start getting creative. don't know where ur at.. but the geographics could be a problem too... hang in there... it's gonna get better
✌🏻❤️🤘🏻
Yeah brother I know exactly what your talking about and it's weird. It's like you can see their brains shift right into neutral
Love that things are coming along. Really nice to hear you’re converting your trailer to a studio! A lot less work :) would you use new carpet on the floor or install one of those wood floating floors that click together? Excited to see that project! So glad to hear you’re getting work and they’re calling YOU! So great to receive the update!
Thank you Buzz.... yes, I have a huge rug in there now, but throwing it out today.... I just bought a new rug, the old one smells like Spanky.. LOL I will for sure update the studio..
I've seen it a lot playing in bands up in Washington. One guy at a country gig, stood there a foot away, and then took out a... silver dollar or some weird coin and threw it hard as he could at our guy's pedal steel guitar - BANG. He popped up and threw it back, caught the guy in the head with it. But yeah, they're almost always either high as a kite on some s*** or "not all there," if you know what I mean. And it almost always turns aggressive at some point. When I start playing solo, I'm gonna miss having the guys with me even though I've always been the designated band security guard!
Holy shit !... Like I said... during these jacked up times... so many people roaming around that are a few french fries short of a Happy Meal... you definitely have to know what's going on around you... Crazy !
Hello Jeffery... I was playing classical guitar in a little coffee shop people was nice there ware listening what i was playing...and when i was playing Jose Vinas Fantasia Original....there is a Tremolo parts and 1 guy jump up from his seats and he was looking at my fingers from 30 inch on the stage.. He sad how the hell you doing that? and people told him seat down the whole thing was 30 second but it was really weird..so during the break i did show him the tremolo... he was nice but never heard of anything like that.. i can not play classical guitar anymore i had a trigger finger surgery on my left hand...but i still can play popular music with backing tracks
Crazy shit.... Good job brother and thank you... keep playing🎸🎤
Hahaha I know - and you can’t go anywhere to get away!!! 😂
🤣Right !!
No hurry No Hurry ... take your time and settle in .LOve the Mandolin . Good to see my favorite hat is back . Always enjoy hanging out ! VOTE VOTE RED
Red it is... Thank you brother
Maybe the gawkers are just drunk???
You would be right for the most part.. But you can usually tell if there drunk... but I've had a few that aren't.. they could be high on something else... LOL this guy recently when it happened.. after done with the song, I asked him if there was anything I could help you with ? he just politely said no, I'm good.. LOL weird
Glad things are going good and you're getting settled in and your new place I'd love to come down and see you one of these days but I'm way up in Idaho. Love the new mandolin looks beautiful. He said he got a couple ghosts already laugh out loud wondering if you have any Bigfoot😂
Yes, one day at a time... you don't have to dig to deep in the wilderness to have activity... LOL they got them in Idaho too... Thank you brother🎼🎶
Good show!
Thank you brother !!!
They're usually drunk. Seriously. They just stop, don't move, focus on you for awhile until something or someone moves them along. Beautiful Mando and nice case! That looks similar to our Solitude 5th wheel. Redwoods outside your window? Unreal...Enjoy :)
Yes... I forgot to mention that.... You are right, they are usually drunk.. but I've had a few that didn't seem drunk... but who the hell knows... funny shit and thank you brother.. lovin that mando Fth wheel is a cougar, by Keystone 👍
I have this problem too
Glad to see you're doing well Jeffrey! I do have the Mic Mechanic, the Harmony Singer, and the green pedal which is the Duplicator. It can also do octave up and octave down. You can link all those together if you want. None of those affect the sound of your guitar; just vocals. I'm aware of the VoiceLive Play Acoustic but didn't know if it had any guitar effects in there too besides vocal effects?
Thank you brother !... Aw.. good to know.... yes, Play acoustic has some pretty Rez tFx to kick your acoustic up a notch
Hey Jeff, since you’ve moved, perhaps it’s a good opportunity to review again how players should get themselves visible to gigging venues and get started in a new area, or get their first gigs! New players benefit, and veterans get reminded we’re on the right track when things get slow on occasion.
Well said brother... and will do👍🎸🎤🎼🎶
BEAUTIFUL LAND!!!
Totally understand Jeff, when we moved down here in N. Ft. Myers from Chicago 7yrs ago, it took 3 days to moved down here & we were exhausted!!! But thank God a week later we were gigging down here, but boy oh boy was I tired, LOL!!! You & Kim are AWESOME & INSPIRING BROTHER, if we ever get a chance to gig in your area, we'll look you up & check out your gig, maybe even jam, be safe Brother, Rock On & God Bless.
LOL.... yes, you know the pain.. LOL It sucks but it's behind us now... just got to finish infostructure which is almost done God Bless brother... that would be a JOY to hook up one day.. you guys stay safe
I was just in my studio messing with the Digitech Live 5, then decided to give the Harmony Singer a shot. I got the H.S. In a trade, it’s the first version. I think the H.S. 2 will run off battery, not sure. I’m going to play with it and see how I can use it best. Glad you’re getting everything setup and got the residency. Keep rockin.
Thank you brother....the old H.S. I think had a little gain knob next to the 1/4 inch output jack... but I could be wrong.. regardless, they are both great
@@thesologigginglife6566 it does have a gain knob, it also powers condenser mic
Thanks - always enjoy your videos
Great to here from you brother. Glad to here all is well, keep rockin! \m/
Thank you brother !!🎸🎤
Glad to hear from you again, Jeffrey! It's good to see you doing well. Congrats on the residency!
Thank you so much !!🎼🎶
Hey there. Bought the TC Helicon Mic Mechanic based on your recommendation. Just did my first gig at a senior assisted living center. They loved it. Looking forward to another video.
Damn good to hear Jason..👍🎼🎶
Hi brother? Does the harmonist have a phantom power switch ?
This unit has 24 volt phantom power, which is always on... no switch needed.. only switch is the on / off
@@thesologigginglife6566 so it means I can use my sure beta 87 (condensor mic.) without any problem?
@@luigilppagano3918 Yep
@@thesologigginglife6566 great! Thank you so much! 👍🏽
My theory about gigs has always been this...have the crowd wanting to see you again, and have fun playing.BTW nice git playing!🗽📼🎧
Well said... Thanks Dave
I been looking for a synth player or drummer for over 3 yrs, I've played drums in several punk rock bands for over 20 yrs,I know exactly how it feels to want to get back into gigging with a band again.Hard just to find anyone here in Philly to do a two pc. Experimental outfit. But honestly enjoy my own production, anyways, subbed!
Ah.. the mid, late 70's played in a couple of punk bands, me and my brother started... co headlined with Circle jerks & dead kennedys, buthole surfers..etc. our band was "Bad Generation".. to much crazy fun..
I been looking high and low for an analog mixer with sub/Aux/fx send/ solo/mute and linear levels. This absolutely nails it.I play multiple instruments for my solo projects and run my old mackie fx12 to my Tascam DP03 digital 8track.Then transfer the master wav files to my DAW for final touch up/master suite. Finally to either tape or CD for duplication. But this unit is perfect especially for the price.🗽🎧📼
I still have mine... I'll be bring it back out when I build my studio back up... luv that it
I'm pro level and I can't get gigs, it's sickening
Dude !!! it frickin sucks out there right now.... very weird times.. besides the high cost of everything.. a lot of venues are pulling back on the live music cuz of their food cost and everything else... crazy.. gonna be doing a vlog on just what you commented... Hit everywhere hit them two & three times... all it takes is one door to open and you're in... I'm kinda goin through the same shit right now...hang in there and keep pushing forward... a door will open brother
Great update, Jeff. I also have been using a TC Helicon harmonizer, the Harmony GT. Works great, including the presence of a separate guitar output where I use effects and a looper. Cant wait to see some excerpts from new gigs in the Crescent City region. You’ve been talking about starting a band. My 2 cents: adding humans gets complicated of course. Don’t forget to keep evolving your solo act, perhaps with expanding backing tracks with the beat buddy. From personal experience, it adds a great dimension to keep audiences engaged more if about a third of your songs add bass and maybe a second guitar part you’ve recorded to solo over. In case the extra musicians become wobbly in dependability, you keep adding more sounds to the solo act, where you never fail to make and keep bookings. I wasted too many years thinking my only value was with other band members in order to play gigs. During the pandemic, my wife convinced me to try soloing, and Ive never looked back. I should of done this 20 years ago, so the angst of losing gigs because of other band guys wouldn’t stop me from performing.
Great experienced opinion... luv it.. I will do a vlog on regarding you comment... Thank you John
Always nice to see you! Love your channel ! Keep us up to date, !
Thank you brother
Looks nice. Looks like a lot of work. One plus living in a trailer...no property to upkeep. Things are much simpler. Mostly because they're much smaller, lol. We just sold our 5th wheel and moved back into a house. Yeah, room to breath. But I now got mowers, weed eaters, garage shelving, bookshelves, etc..etc..etc...But, I got a big studio, so...Yee haw and all that. I've had all the TC harmony pedals. And they all rock. And they are all worth the price, whether the smaller Harmony singer, up to the Voicelive 3 max. Good advice to start with Harmony Singer. Hell, you could stay with just that pedal and be just fine. No need to upgrade really. So simple. I've got the AcousticPlay down pretty good now, but the Voicelive 3 is just another level. Lotta fun, if you got the time and money. Like you said, they're all great. You guys enjoy yourself. Grow some veggies, start a commune and have a yearly solstice gathering. We'll all get naked around a campfire and sing to the redwoods like Kenny Loggins. That actually would be kinda cool. Peace, Love, etc...etc..
LMFAO !!! good one !!! ur pretty close... I didn't mention.. Kim will be starting a garden... LOL
Been using the harmony singer pedal for quite a while. Love it. Also use the mic mechanic pedal sometimes. I think i have 200 in the harmony pedal and 150 in the mic mechanic and they were both new when i bought them. Keep up the videos.
I just purchased both my self....🎼🎶👍
love this pedal. I got one a couple of years ago and now can't do a show without it. most difficult thing is kicking it on and off to add harmony on spots rather than just doing harmony for the whole chorus, etc.
Hell yes... great frickin pedal !!🎼🎶👍
Yes, but ive had standing ovations and venue owners didn't let me come back, when you think things are great, watch your back cuz somebody is wanting to shut ya down, maybe jelous or thinking you got to many tips!!! This happens alot with ne
I get it....
@@thesologigginglife6566 yes, but I bet you haven't experienced it before have you?
@@rickgrebenikpuggles56 most cases the venue is extremely happy when there talent gets standing ovation... it usually means your keeping the folks there drinking & eating as they enjoy your performance, which brings the money-till up and your tips... there are so many dynamics that come play in these venues... Pretty good! Im trying to get back into gigging again, not easy getting gigs, crappy venue owners are horrible
Yes, there can be a lot shitty owners & venues... but don't stop... keep at it, a door will open, keep me posted.. I've got a vlog or two on that subject
@@thesologigginglife6566 I've been so wronged by venues, example...had been playing at winery, was getting standing ovations and owners never let me come back!!! Only charged 100$!!! Customers requested me and still couldn't gig there anymore!! This happens often when I play places, makes me sick!! I don't know what to do anymore, people get jealous, probably cuz waitresses were jealous of my tips!!
Great guitar! Bro, the first few lines of the Allman Bros "Ramblin' Man" are very fitting for this video. All the best, because we know that your trying to make a living and doing the best you can. And it is time you leave here, and we do understand, that you, sir, were born a ramblin' man. God Bless!!
LOL... Perfect ! good call...LOL🚌🎸
Dude! I really want to hear that new Martin! Maybe next video (?) I know what you mean about having a high quality guitar as your workhorse. I have a high end Martin that I've had for five years now and it's been the only guitar I've used for gigging since I started doing this full time back in 2022. I've had the frets dressed twice (not replaced) to take out the divots and installed a replacement bone saddle cause the action got too low. I have and have had lesser guitars, but I just don't even want to play them to gig with because once you've played a high quality instrument that inspires, using anything less kind of takes the wind out of your sails. I can depend on my Martin for a great tone, playability and feel. Plus, why not give the audience my professional best? Really, that's what the guitar was built for : to be played and shared.Anyway, Congrats, and have a good move!
You have a safe trip and that D28 looks great
I'll bet that chainsaw cuts through the mix.... LOL. Safe travels brother
LOL... Thank you Phillip
Have a safe trip . God Bless you and Kim . And Yes VOTE RED !!! Info ---The D-45 introduced in 1933 for Gene Autry as the company's flagship instrument; the D-41 was launched in 1968. There is also a D-42 1st intro in 1934.
Awesome !! , thank you my brother and Kim says thank you... I knew I was close, but I didn't realize that D--45 came out that early... and just looked up the D-28 and it was introduced in 1931... I was off on that one.. for some reason I thought it came out much later... who knew.. LOL
Have a safe move. What is your friend’s online store’s web address? I was fortunate enough to stop at the Martin factory and check out the history of Martin. Got a roomful of guitars to sample and the 1833 store. Be Blessed, Cheers.

Awesome new guitar. Nothing like the smell of a New Martin, especially when you open up the case for the first time. I'm a Martin guy as well and it's like coming home when I play them. Cozy even. Good luck on your move. Just did our last move ever as well. No mas.
You nailed it brother ! and thank you
helo Jeffrey..i was just watching this video again... and can you make a video WHY did you start playing solo 7 years ago..?

Just moved to East Tennessee. You should come over here. Nice red state and no state income tax. Great music venues! Just discovered your channel. Really enjoying it! I’m retiring from corporate America in December. Maybe gigging will be my retirement life! 😎👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you brother... and welcome aboard.. great little community here
That was awesome! Thanks for sharing. How many gigs a year do you do?
Thank you brother.. I was playing 2 to 3 times a week... Now that I'm slowing down just a bit... Once a week.. probably never give quit, just have to make time for some ocean fishing
Hey, I'm a big fan of your channel. I play solo about once a month, hoping to increase that to 3 or 4 times per month I agree that when you play for yourself, it's easier to get into it and give your best performance Thanks for all of your insight.
Exactly brother and thank you... Play from the heart and it won't let you down
The longing for nostalgic "glory" fuels the reunion of the bandmates, whilst the winds of nostalgia often prove to be fleeting and without steadfast gusts, thus resulting in an oft short-lived caricature of the orginal. And then sadly, it happens again...and again. Great content as always.
Thank you brother !!
Hi Jeffrey. I have the mic mechanic version one which you have to have power supply for. Been using it for about 3 years or so. I also have the harmony singer. I just turn the effects off on the mixer and use the pedals. I use them at my home(dont play out anymore) personal studio for recording for fun. Love to write originals and record them. Keep up the good work on your channel.
Amen to that brother.... don't stop working on those originals... Thank you Tom !
That Mic Mechanic is great. I used to have that one. I have the Harmony singer now. Has the same compression button, reverb and can do harmonies. Great products.
I just pulled the trigger on Harmony singer II... Im gonna do a little review next week...LOL Good call brother.. if you don't have a play acoustic, this is the next best thing, for sure.
