Maybe i should explain why the X100 Ultra does better at 5Times. The Vivo X100 Ultra has a 200MP tele can with a sensor size of 1/1.4 The Xiaomi has 50MP at 5 times but only using an 1/2.55 Sensor. And an in sensor crop to 5Times on the Vivo is simply leaving a bigger sensor behind then the Xiaomi at 5Times. Other than that, I do like your comparisons, have a great day.

Xiaomi is on the right way when it comes to portraits on the main camera. Vivo has released an excellent Ultra device which will push the competition to use this type of sensors (made by Samsung by the way but which is not even capable of using them in their own phone)... This sensor makes all the difference from the moment you start zooming in to take a photo day or night. We are entering a new era of photography on our Ultra smartphones. I think the Vivo X100U edges out the Xiaomi 14U in punchier colors and tele performance. But there is one enormous problem with X100U. It is not Global, and China only. Then the only advantage of X100U would be the punchier colors and slightly better lens coatings. But I think they'd be very very close.
As much as I'm impressed with the Vivo, I'd still go with the Xiaomi. Mostly because of that dual zoom being far more useful than too much digital zoom. I think concert mode is awesome but Xiaomi is more flexible. Still hate the colours on either tho 😂
The telephoto cam on x100 is better because of the large sensor..so the image is more crisp and has sharper detail compared to 14 ultra 5x optical tele cam🤷
