I've just got my 14 ultra and after using it for a week i still can't believe that it's a phone and not a mirrorless camera, by the way I'm really not dissatisfied with 14 ultra's portraits , specialy with it's verity of filters and different focal lengths
Exactly, this guy just misses out on what are portraits. The 75mm head shoulder portrait is just out of the world. Don't know what this fellow keeps rambling about
I'm rambling abt the trash portraits that we clearly got in the comparison... Not everyone's gonna be infatuated with the 75mm mode to completely ignore a gruesome weakness in the portrait mode of the Xiaomi 14 ultra

Why should i use a portrait mode while i use a phone with natural bokeh?
Never used Leica portrait, simply use the 3x 75 mm for great portraits.

I recently got my Xiaomi 14 Ultra and I'm very happy with it, but do you happen to know what exactly "AI Camera" in the camera settings (when sliding from the top) is? When I toggle it, I can observe a slight change in color, mostly the image becoming a bit more contrasty
Had de 14 ultra for almost 3 weeks, great phone, my first Xiaomi, the best that I've had regarding photography part, better thank any pixel,Samsung, iphone, buuut, I had the fogging issue twice on the main camera and once in the 3,2x. Because of this, I've returned the device, a bit disappointed as it was a great phone, but couldn't get over this issue. (I know that there are some workarounds, but for this price, come on...) To get the same (or better?) details in high res mode on the Xiaomi as on the iPhone, you need to use Pro mode and UltraRAW instead of the regular high res mode. Even the JPEG saved in UltraRAW mode is more detailed than the regular high res mode. It doesn't make much sense that this is happening, but we're talking about Xiaomi here, so many things don't make much sense with their software.

Very nicely done bro... Xiaomi has done blunder with Portraits on Xiaomi 14 Ultra, what were they thinking when competition is so fierce nowadays!... And also their Front video has no HDR processing almost; hence overexposures! Like the less sharpening approach on Xiaomi, but it's still not really ULTRA... BTW, I think my Xiaomi 13 Ultra is much better with portraits! 😊

post processing on the iphone is way ahead....the same probably will go for s24ultra or pixel 8
I've also had a problem with a green tint every now and then on my 14 Ultra, even in Raw mode! And sometimes it's so bad that the photo is useless, not even Lightroom can save it🤦
Also the focusing issue on the 3.2x and 5x is really annoying
I sold my iPhone 15 Pro Max and purchased the Xiaomi 14 Ultra with the photography kit. I'm not gonna go back to iOS anymore.

because pixel is called the best camera phone
I have both and Xiaomi produces way more natural pics you'll see it especially in the sky. Pixel 8 Pro makes the sky extremely blue meanwhile Xiaomi gets it literally on point. Xiaomi is better in every way with the camera.

@@wouter.d.h. I have global and battery life is good. I'm not a heavy user (about 2 hours screen on time per day) and can get through about 1.5 days, maybe more.
But camera drains alot of battery
I would wait for some reviews of the vivo x100 ultra, as that has a slightly bigger battery and also a very good camera
Yeah and Pixel has better portraits than Iphone..
