I "mosey" down trails and catalog my adventures. In 2024, I completed a thru hike of the Appalachian Trail. This year I aim to complete the 48 New Hampshire 4000 footers and prepare for any future thru hiking adventures. Happy to have you along on my journey!

Went up Angel's Rest with scouts to start a weekend trip. By the time we all got up it was dark. But off we went to find a camp site. Our lead scout made a hard right turn without hesitation and we were at a site next to a spring. I snuggled up against a log near the spring. Nearly got stepped on by deer in the night.
It is good to hear from you again ! You are looking happy and seem to be in a good place with your life. What a beautiful hike! Winter hiking isn’t easy and you aced that 400 footer! Thanks for the life update! Looking forward to following your new adventures!
How could you even find the trail!?!? Follow footprints!? Amazing hike!
The trail was actually much easier to follow than it must appear in the videos! The trail was well packed and well blazed!
Yay, a new Mosey video! ❤😊
Welcome to NH! I'd be glad to meet up sometime for a winter hike. :)
So Beautiful , I love hiking in the snow, Great to see your video again,
Yellow snow ?
We saw quite a bit of yellow snow that day. I wish it had been further off trail!
Mosey! Great to see you back on TH-cam! Great video! Beautiful scenery! A few of the scenes reminded me of, "The Shining". Wishing you continued success and happiness in 2025!
😂 it does kind of look like some scenes from The Shining! Luckily, I didn't end it looking like Jack Nicholson
I want to do that!
Beautiful hike, winter Wonderland, what shoes do you wear for this type of weather?
I found a pair of goretex boots on REI re/supply that were a good deal so I've been testing those out since my usual trail runners aren't ideal. I've been wearing the Aku Selvetica boots. I don't know that I would necessarily recommend them in general for this kind of hiking as they are not insulated, but it hasn't been terribly cold when I've worn them. I'm not sure they're a perfect fit for me, but since I am not doing a lot of winter hiking, they're working for now.
As long as life is good,.. that's all that matters
Absolutely stunning!! What a gorgeous hike! So good to see you out again!!
Good to see your beautiful smile again. Take care.
So great to see you out on trail. Congrats on checking off another 4K peak off the list. Sounds like you're having fun with all your new adventures. Be well, have fun and thanks for sharing
Well, look who's back! I really found the way the snow was plastered onto the trunks of the trees to be beautiful and interesting. It looked like a great time. I don't think you're going to have anything to worry about in regards to finding summer employment. Something is going to come along. The best part is that other than a cold, you're doing well and seem to be enjoying life. I'm already looking forward to the next video. Cheers, Mosey!
It was beautiful! I hope you're right! The jobs I'm applying for seem to be fairly competitive, but I'm hopeful.
I miss seeing you Glad you're back out Good luck with your new quest
Awesome video and good to see you are back for updates!
I'm still working on your at thru hike, think I'm around episode 100 or so and your feet hurt..... But love the crying and laughing and especially the singing and I would say keep it up but you've already finished the thing! You're an awesome young lady Rissa
☺Thanks for watching! And thanks for appreciating all the emotions that come with it!
Great to hear from you, and I'm glad you're getting better from your cold. That snow cover was astounding, and looked so peaceful! Do you find snow hiking (without snowshoes) a bigger workout than regular summer hiking?
I don't know that I would call it a bigger workout. The cold made breathing a bit more challenging, but the snow was packed enough that it didn't feel any different than hiking on a trail during other seasons. It does make the trail less rocky though!
@RissaRoams that makes sense!
What a gorgeous fairyland. A bit different than the summer AT. You look radiant and.happy. Thank you for sharing your life adventure. Happy winter from Idaho.
Nice surprise to see you pop up. Gorgeous winter wonderland! So nice you spent Christmas with Halfbaked. He’s a cutie. Enjoy your time with Polar. 😊❤
Thanks for the update! Beautiful scenery on the hike. Always amazed by the way snow stacks up on leafless branches.
Of all the 4000 footers, I think that is my favorite in winter. I frequently encountered the gray Jay’s there, and there’s something absolutely magical about feeding the gray Jays from your hand, but especially in winter. I’ve got videos of it on my channel if you want to check it out.
I'll have to check that out. Unfortunately, we didn't see any gray jays that day!
Did you see that The Notch Hostel is hiring?
I did! In fact that is the hostel that I applied to! ☺
Yaayyyy!!!!
Nice to see you out hiking in the winter. That’s the first and only 4000 footer I have done. Did it in 2011. We geocached all the way up so it took longer to hike up. Beautiful views with the snow.
That's a cool way to do it! I've never geocached before.
What a gorgeous winter wonderland!! Thanks for the update, looking forward to more of your adventures ❤️
Happy to see your smiling face, and to hear that life is good!
Amazing adventure and very beautiful winter landscapes 😊
All that snow is so beautiful. That type of snowy hike is on my bucket list.
It was beautiful! It sparked a fire to do more for sure!
Awsome!
Your optimism is so refreshing. Keep on hiking; you're an inspiration to this guy.
Fun stuff!
That was a beautiful hike😊
That was beautiful! Get better and thanks for the update!
Snow is cool but I only want it around for a day. Then it can go away. Good to see you still a big fan. So.... where is the trail lol 😮
I haven't gotten tired of it yet! The trail is actually much easier to see than it is on camera. Very well packed and blazed!
Great to see you backout !!!
❤ Just subscribed
CONGRATULATIONS!!! Great achievement. Please consider doing a video showing the gear you finished with, what worked and what didn’t.👏👏👏👏
Congrats!
❤❤
You're even more lovely with your hair down.
Congratulations ❤ you are amazing!!! I’ve loved watching your videos and seeing the hike through another’s eyes!
Okay not going to make fun of someone's mental issues but that is one funny ass story to tell about your through hike!
Congratulations!!! Watched your journey, so happy for you. you are a Champion my friend .... all the best, thank you ...🙃
Finally getting to watch this! Thanks for sharing. I am hoping to hike the Long Trail next summer as a slow hiker myself. It would be awesome to hike some of it together!
Hey Rissa, enjoying your AT thru hike and yeah a little late huh. Referred to you by #2 pencil whom I also watched his hike of the AT. I'm only around vlog 61 but just wanted to tell you how impressed I am with you. Your pre prep, gear choices and awesome deals on sites I had never heard of. But mostly it's just the person that you are ; so kind, honest and raw and I now know that you'll probably be crying and possibly singing in every episode. It'll take me awhile but I will, like you eventually get through your thru hike. Best wishes on your hopes, dreams and life aspirations. You're such a lovely young lady!
What is #2 Pencil's channel? I'm not sure I've seen it. Thank you so much for the kind words and for following along!
"The Heard Hiker" from Georgia and he mentioned your channel as he was having to pull out of the PCT this past year. I think his AT hike was in 2023. He is quite the character much like you, but I probably wouldn't enjoy his singing as much as yours..... Look him up sometime, take care.
I hope to hike NH this summer, not in the winter. Need to get one leg to cooperate better than it currently is.
At least you don't have to look for snakes.
