You're back to moving right along and it seems like you'll be done in about 20ish days. Kinda crazy, but you persevered and except for the Maine Drain you've had a terrific pace. Looking forward to the rest of your journey. The scenery was amazing.
Oh, dear! You know, the way connections and how things come together in any of our lives can almost be miraculous sometimes. I have a degree in Paralegal Studies and worked as a paralegal doing criminal expungements for people for a few years. But that led me to friends that I never would have met that led to other opportunities beyond my time as a paralegal. It's so odd how things can come together to make up our lives. We can all also play the "what if" game into madness if we let ourselves. All of our lives' paths are littered like Hansel and Gretel's bread crumbs with regrets and forks of paths not taken. We all have to make what we believe are the best decisions at the time. Keep doing what you believe is the best decision(s) at the time. Things will work out as intended. My philosophy lesson for the day. More beautiful scenery for an awesome hiking experience.
God works in strange ways and has a sense of humor. Serendipity. You are stronger and more confident. I remember you worrying about your budget and you were happy to get away from the towns and chaos when you had stayed in hostels. This last slack packing has worked out great. Love the trees reflecting in the pond.😊❤
❤I just want to say that we all change as we grow in life. I think that’s what life is all about… and enjoying the scenery as we do. And THANKS TO YOU I get to enjoy some scenery that I’ll probably never see in person❤❤❤
In the beginning I think you said your pack was just over 30 pounds. How much do you think you got it down to on your slack days? Did you ever try weighing it? I can see why you would listen to Mumford and Sons. Love their music. 😊
you are doing great, not just the trail but learning more about yourself and the things that are important you.
Beautiful leaves! Love the reflections of trees in the ponds!!❤

Sounds like the perfect day for slackpacking, with short sleep and sketchy descents! Hooray for town food, showers, and laundry 😁

Avoid the A.T. PA there are wildfires currently in Lehigh Gap/Allentown
She'll be done at Delaware Water Gap, when she crosses the NJ/PA border. So she won't be going to Lehigh Gap.
I’m happy to help you slack pack in NY/ NJ! Let me know 😊
