Great seeing you back online, Mosey! I viewed a portion of your Q&A and then life got in the way. If I may say, you look happy. Your exuberant smile, shiny eyes and rosy cheeks, tell the tale of someone content moving forward. Yes, the trail has changed you. I recall the semi-meek young woman prior to the start of your hike. I remember the hurting feet, the tears, and the falls. YOU are a survivor! You are part of that 25% that completed the trail in 2024. Definitely something to be posted within your resume. When I write, "Keep Trekking", I mean keep trekking with life. There is so much of it to live! Take care. Be happy. I/We look forward to more of your updates and videos. Until then, Happy Holidays!!
I am happy to see you and hear an update. I will try to catch at least part of the live Q&A. Just in case I can't, how are your injuries (like your ankle) doing now that you've had some proper rest?
It's great to see you back. I signed up with TH-cam to give me a reminder tonight about your start time. The working at a hostel and staying close to the trail in some fashion doesn't surprise me in the least. I always thought that might be a thing for you and even mentioned it a time or two during your hike. What is surprising to me is New Hampshire. I think I more pictured somewhere like Tennessee, North Carolina or Virginia. However, with the damage created by Hurricane Helene in that area, that may not have been too much of an option. Uncle Jonny's Hostel in Erwin, TN for instance sustained major damage and they had to scrap a couple of their bunkhouses, but are working diligently to get the place back to working. My question involves your quilt: How did the loft in your quilt hold up over time? I've seen a few post-trail gear videos and at least one I can think of, they said the loft in their bag or quilt had taken kind of a beating over time. I'll look forward to seeing you tonight.
Whoa Rissa! We have a lot to catch up on with your vids. A move to NH, so happy for you. We are close to your hometown and was hoping to connect to talk Berry College and here you are in NH. 😂 Good for you girl! Keep on adventuring!!
The AT, the people the trail do change you. Enjoy your time and new life. Do You!! Let you heart and soul guide you. Being happy and at peace is worth so much. I was thinking of a hostel for you too. You have so much to offer and an infectious smile that puts others at ease. You'll do fantastic in whatever you do. Enjoy and thanks for the update.
It’s exciting starting something new! Praying for God’s leading. I will try to hop on tonight. I have a neighbor who’s planning to do the PCT in Feb/March (she completed the AT in 2022)..
Good to see you again, hope everything works out with the NH plans. I think I'd be the same after completing the AT, it would be really tough to go back to setting at a desk for 8 hours!
You would be thinking right. 🙂 I section hike the AT a week in the spring and week in the fall. It seems like a form of torture. Just when you start to fully unwind and get into the AT groove, I'm getting off trail and heading back to the desk for 8 hours.
Awesome move to NH! My favorite state! Love skiing Bretton Woods & Waterville Valley. It would be super cool to run into you there! Hoping to hike the Long trail next summer myself 😊
Aw lovely surprise. I am so excited for you! You are young and healthy. Use those things to live your dreams. I’d be outa here in a heartbeat. Don’t marry someone that lives where you don’t want to lol. Deep South but my childhood was in the Yorkshire moors. Hope I can make your live. I am all smiles for ya!😊❤️
Hey, good to see a new video. I was a bit burnt out from posting content but am finally getting some post-hike videos done. I don't want you to think I am like a creepy stalker... but we do have some similar things going on. :) I am moving. I will be in New England. In talks with a real estate agent this week. We often crossed paths on the AT. Maybe we will see you on some local trails. :) I am amused that I also follow fellow hiker Hiking Dancer who just moved to Vermont.
I live in Maine and hike the NH mountains. NH is my favorite and I dream of a mountain condo or even building a cabin. I hope to be a trail angel in NH someday. I am in the midst of raising a family and it’s hard to get over there as much as I would like. I am working on my 48 4k and have 17 down. Lots to go. I have been building my stash of backpacking gear and hope to make some overnights next year to get more mountains tackled quicker. I would love to hike with you if I could someday.

Most important question...tell us about the kitty.
QUESTION: What are your long-term plans for a career that allows you to build assets for long-term security?
There is time for that, first you have a chance to try new things, see what really suits you.
I hope you check out Taylor the NAhamsha hiker’s gift shop in Gilford, NH.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
Very very strange seeing you move at highway speeds! I always think of you as moving at 1.5 mph 😂
Where are you moving to in NH?
Privacy is important for safety, especially for women in the public eye on social media.
