Congratulations on 1900 miles! Gorgeous scenery again. Bog board situation was strange. Thank goodness you didn’t fall in. You’re probably more approachable so that’s maybe why the people asked if you were going to make it. I reckon it’s a common curiosity. It seems so impossible of a task!😊❤
The first time you said it, I'm sure (without going back to see) I was sure you said "Father Time" and of course that brought to mind the Christmas cartoon. I also thought it was somebody's trail name. lol Aren't Dollar General Stores a great thing while hiking? I know I've duct into them while hiking to get Gatorade or other odds and ends, ibuprofen once this summer which was a lifesaver and allowed me to get in several more miles. And once again, another beautiful day for hiking in the outdoors. You're doing great, Mosey!
I wonder if the red bushes you saw were high bush blueberries? I have 4 varieties of blueberries and their leaves turn red like that in the fall . Gorgeous. 🍁
Oh, you’re friends with Sunshine. The Sunshine from Indiana? I passed by her. She’s very sweet. And big smile on her face. I met her on a rainy day, so she was the only Sunshine I had all day!
Was that hunters or a shooting range? They have a law in Regulation Island that you must wear orange Sept - April and I heard they were actually giving out citations. I've never even heard a gun anywhere in this miserable state but if I heard gun shots that close there wouldn't be any law necessary :). Good luck your doing great almost there and I don't blame you for not bothering with the tower. Personally I can't stand climbing mountains where you can drive your car to the top.
I got picked up for a hitch once while walking back to my car after an overnight. They had another hitch who was a thru-hiker and all three of them thought I was a thru-hiker. They said I had "the look". So maybe there is something to that.
Love watching your hike. So excited for you to finish, but will miss seeing you every morning.
