Marissa, I'm so glad you found something interesting to do after the AT, and I look forward to following your winter adventures. Can't wait to see you become a skier!!
I was so happy to sit down with my breakfast and see there was a video from you. Yay! Thank you for the beautiful footage of the snow hike although coming down off an icy mountain literally scares the heck out of me. I literally hired a personal trainer at the Y so that I could build my stamina to hike better I’m old I need the help. thrilled about your job and look forward to continue seeing you here on TH-cam you are inspiration always
Hey Rissa, enjoying your AT thru hike and yeah a little late huh. Referred to you by #2 pencil whom I also watched his hike of the AT. I'm only around vlog 61 but just wanted to tell you how impressed I am with you. Your pre prep, gear choices and awesome deals on sites I had never heard of. But mostly it's just the person that you are ; so kind, honest and raw and I now know that you'll probably be crying and possibly singing in every episode. It'll take me awhile but I will, like you eventually get through your thru hike. Best wishes on your hopes, dreams and life aspirations. You're such a lovely young lady!
"The Heard Hiker" from Georgia and he mentioned your channel as he was having to pull out of the PCT this past year. I think his AT hike was in 2023. He is quite the character much like you, but I probably wouldn't enjoy his singing as much as yours..... Look him up sometime, take care.
So nice to hear how you are doing and to see you enjoying all that NH has to offer. Someday you need to come to upstate NY and hike the Adirondack Park. It’s beautiful and massive with high peaks, crystal clear lakes, and welcoming small towns throughout.
Small world I climbed that mountain a few years ago when my daughter was at soccer camp. It was called camp merriwood and it's close to the mountain. If you are a soccer player and close by might be someplace to check for a summer job
I am so happy for you! Gorgeous hike. And yay Half Baked! Congratulations on the job. So fun!I wanted to move to Vermont in my 20’s but these southern boys like to stay put. 😊❤️
Congratulations on your continuing journey! We met in March at Amicolola Falls ! I’ve followed your hiking the AT and am thrilled to see where your next steps will take you! Carpe diem!
Best wishes to you in this new phase of your life. Should we still call you "Mosey" or are you Marissa now? Whatever, it is so good to see that smile that we've grown to love.
Well, look who posted a new video! Congratulations on the new job! It sounds like you're getting settled into New Hampshire, it's great to see you're having some success in that regard. Winter can be seriously challenging, not only with hiking. It looked like you were having some fun up in the mountains and had some great views to top it off. So far this "winter", it's not technically yet but it was 22°F last night and we've had temperatures in the low 10s here and that qualifies as winter to me. I actually slept outside last night and several nights over the past month or so trying to determine my comfort cutoff and with wearing a mesh base layer, a 250 weight merino wool mid layer, merino buff, a beanie, and a light puffy inside my quilt. I now know 20°F is my absolute winter comfort cutoff with the gear I currently have. I don't know that I'll ever actually hike in weather where it's expected to get down to 20°F, but I think a person should know the limitations of their equipment before setting off on a hike where there may be nowhere to run, nowhere to hide from the cold. Please keep that in mind before doing any winter backpacking. It's great to see your smiling face again, Mosey!
Yeah, if it feels like winter I'm calling it winter 😅 And it's definitely important to know your gear limits! Though I plan on doing some winter hikes, I don't really intend to do winter backpacking. I want to go home and get warm!!
Welcome to NH! I'd be glad to meet up sometime for a winter hike. :)
I hope to hike NH this summer, not in the winter. Need to get one leg to cooperate better than it currently is.
Awesome you got to experience winter hiking. It's my first winter in NH also and I've been exploring the trails near Mt Sunapee. Such beauty.
It’s not winter until December 21. Nice video! Your enthusiasm is great!
What a wonderful hike. The landscapes and nature is so beautiful here. Nice with a littel snow. 😊😊😊
Looks awesome thank you for sharing! Have fun with the skiing deal for sure
Congrats on the new job and best of luck with the summer job search. 😊

What is #2 Pencil's channel? I'm not sure I've seen it. Thank you so much for the kind words and for following along!

I answer to either! Trail friends still call me Mosey, but I'm not planning a legal name change 😝

@@RissaRoams Stay warm and have fun with it. If it's not fun or something for the challenge, I don't see much point.
