    Aliant powder is NO longer selling to the public. Good luck with your Reloader 26. I do not agree with your description of 7mm mag. You talk about reloading,then you say you skipped the 7mm mag because of factory ammo?? HUH the 7mm mag actually holds severaal more grains of powder than the 7mm PRC. Right now there are more paid influencers hyping the PRC!!!!!!

      @@scottinohio701 first off your boys been in the game for a while so I have over 24 pounds of reloader 26. Always be ready, homie. Secondly, the reason I didn’t choose a 7 rem mag was not due to factory ammunition. I did mention that as one of the reasons in the video, but the main reason, which I describe in detail in the video is the fact that it’d be like stepping backwards in time. For me to use the high BC bullets I want, I’d have to get custom twist barrels. If I’m going to do that it would greatly limit me in pre-cut barrel availability among many other things, including high grade brass. I agree the 7 rem mag does hold more powder, but again go back and watch the video…. You’ll hear the details of the multiple reasons I elected a different route. I’m not a paid influencer. I was not paid to represent the 7 PRC. I chose it for my own personal hunting rig. This video is about why. Come on, brah!

Behind the times, you’re talking about factory rifles right now?!? Maybe this isn’t the channel for you friend-o. Speaking of being relevant, that is the relevant way the majority of custom rifle buyers get their barrels these days. Love my 28 Nosler. Strictly a hunting rifle and it's done it's job every time. Peterson brass is pretty easy to obtain now. I shoot factory 162gr ammo from Hornady quite a bit but it loves the 180gr VLD and groups fantastic. I tend to load with a light node, 2977fps with the 180's. Having said all that, the 7mm PRC is the next toy for the safe. I think it's the sweet spot for an all around hunting caliber that offers the ability to find ammo if you forget to bring it.

    You could of also necked the 300 prc down to 7mm. Get 28 nosler performance with good brass offering. Thats what I did and I'm hitting over 2900fps with 195gr with 22" barrel.

      @@zachjunkel3437 yeah that’s a screamer you built there. I was trying to do a bit more around something people could get factory offerings of. I’m going to do more wildcat videos like that in the future though. Sounds like an awesome rig!

    Just built a very similar rifle myself with a 22” CFW Bartlein and Manners LRH. Mine is chronoing with the factory ELDX at 2715. Hoping it will speed up to 2800+ at least. Still need to do my own load dev to see what it can really do

    Beauty of a rifle. Very impressive. Love the stock choice. Mine is a 28 Nosler, Bighorn SR3, Rock Creek #4 with backcountry brake, Manners LRH back in black, TT 2 stage, Hawkins hunter DBM, topped with a Vortex HD LHT. Just shy of 10lbs. Shooting Barnes 150grain TTSX at 3330fps. Have a spare 28 and a 7RM barrel for it too.

    You keep saying it’s a 22” hunting rifle like it’s no big deal but I’m sure that set up is 10k+. For that price I would expect more than only 2 hits at 1 mileage

    • @jtc406
      @jtc406 21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      So clearly you’ve never taken shots at a mile. Money doesn’t make up for ballistics deficits at extreme distances. Even with a target rifle, 1 mile in your over the counter calibers is a feat.
