Hi Julie, l like them, but they aren't everyone's cup of tea I guess... They are very rubbery so they need to be tenderised before cooking. They don't need to be cooked long (like scallops or squid) and they have a mild scallop/squid/unique taste - hard to explain really!

Hi Dave, if I intend on returning a fish without any visible barotrauma, I'll always do it without a weight, I reckon gotta be better off avoiding poking another hole in their face if they're able to swim back fine on their own. If they have bad barotrauma, I just keep them, not worth risking it. Not sure how that's on par with stealing another blokes gear though...

@ my comment was mostly taking the piss mate but whether we like new regs or not, the removal of size limits is to prevent people doing exactly that. Even if that dhu swims back down they reckon most of them don’t survive.

Hi Ryan, agreed about old mate... It's not often that I have this issue with staying connected to fish, but today was a real problem! I do use bottom meat rigs, it was all I used at one stage, just having fun running something different. I've never tried the berserker, might have to grab a couple! Cheers mate 😎👍

Fisheries research couldn't do anything and nor could the ranger believe it or not, but I reckon the bloke would have been puckering! Definitely right about his "mates" pot, still illegal.
