The ONLY reason I went for the 460 was because of the limited garage space I have available, otherwise, it would be the 490 every day of the week! Don't get me wrong, there's nothing the 490 can do that the 460 can't, but the extra length would give a much better ride, and the room would be primo 😙👌 I hope that helps mate 😎👍

Hi Ryan, cheers mate. Was pretty cool getting that Snapper! Yeah it was yesterday, the ban is in this week so was itching to get out before that. Weather is never what they forecast hey, it was pretty sloppy. Good tip on the vac pack 👌 thanks mate.

@@Damo_Vinci no worries. Yeah we headed out from point peron in the dark hoping to get out to the 40m area but was way too rough,so ended drifting the back of the 5 fathom bank and ended up with a 53cm King George. Pretty pumped for targeting the big King George during the ban.

@ryantweddle3167 I'm also looking forward to getting into some KG's! They are the next species I need to crack up this way. I've caught quite a few but looking for consistency hahahaaaa. Good luck getting into 'em mate 👍

Great effort there Damo, great to see the local producing quality fish. That second snappers a cracker! I'm hanging to get out, but seems like every time I'm home from work the winds against me and now the bans about to kick in. 😂

Hi Frank, it's great to be back, but now the weather is an issue 🙄 So happy you got the boat and that you are enjoying it 😁 My canopy has Velcro and Zip tabs all the way around, so installing it was pretty simple. I just laid it out over the top, folded the tabs around and zipped them up. If yours is different, you may have to insert the bars for the top section into the canvas pockets first, then bolt the frame together as a whole piece if you know what I mean. Then you can bolt the assembled roof to the uprights.

@@Damo_Vinci I had to get my son to help me. The canvas was so tight, I needed 2 ppl. Loving the boat. Can’t believe how smooth they run for a small boat. Weather here is really crap too. Tuesday or Wednesday looking good though.

@frankscenna6985 yeah right. I guess it's much better that it's tight and not flapping around! They handle well mate, I use mine in some really sloppy conditions and while you will get a bit wet, you feel very safe. Enjoy your new toy Frank, setting it up the way you want it is soooo much fun I reckon 😎👍

Thanks Wazza. Yeah, the coral took me a bit by surprise too, especially given that there have been multiple algal blooms etc in the Marina. For me, it just proves that the environment in there is still quite healthy, and that's awesome to see.

Hi Adrian, I have thrown nets off the walls and jetties around the Port, but boat traffic just makes it too difficult and I don't feel right taking up all the jetty with nets! You are not allowed to have nets set on floats in that area so off the walls is the only option really 🫤 Do you throw nets in the Marina in Two rocks? Cheers mate 👍

Full disclosure - it's pretty rare but bloody hilarious, especially when it happens while you're fighting a fish hahahaa 🤣 Just gotta push through it! Once you get on the move again it usually subsides.
