Ep9 - Quick Pot Check and Bait Mission, 2024 25 Crayfish Season

Perth Crayfishing - Had another sneak out for a re-bait of the pots and another bait collection.
I nearly lost my anchor in a shallow reef! Another example of what not to do from yours truly!!!

Hahahaaaa 🤣 🤣 cheers Ben! Yeah, you're right about the North facing bridals - I'm garbage at prioritising it... probably even more important given how tiny the thing is!

Ya milk crate pot might need an extra weight or 2 if it moves around on the bottom crays won't go in it.

Hi Kane, you are bang on about movement!
It has got 12kg+ of weight in it and I have filmed it underwater, it definitely doesn't seem to move.
Will see how it goes when the roaches start crawling!

@Damo_Vinci I reckon you might need to double your weight as when seas get a bit more heavier the pot will definitely move, I ve had same issues with pots that weighed 25kg plus

@Damo_Vinci you'd be surprised what swell, tide, and waves can do. The sea grabs floats and pull them around, especially when the wind is up, making it hard to hold ya pot on the bottom!
