I am sprouting some seeds in kitchen now: very easy to sprout from damp paper towels! Now what? Suggestions welcome. I live in Hawaii. Will try to make a good soil mix. Big worms get into all my pots and turn the soil thick heavy and black, so I’ll have to use perlite heavily. Love to use egg shells and have plenty banana peels on property! Do they really “induce flowering”? Some of these plants ( I may start 20 seedlings in soil pots) will end up in yard ( citrus tree garden). Most are to transplant out of 5 gal pot to bigger pot to give as gifts. How long might that take (full sun, plenty water)? Once I get a leaf or two on my sprouts, can I just put in center of a 5 gallon pot and nurse it? What about first in a small peat pot ( they’re not very deep!). Sorry- I’m not a pro, especially with trees!

I live in CentralFlorida and grow Kalamansi fpr the past 35 years. I smiled when you mentioned fish scraps to the plants., Citrus growers use mullet washings to water the plants with good success.

do these trees have a period of time which they produce the fruit? I have a 3 year old one I bought in June 2020 and it was budding and producing fruit! now there is the "leftover" fruit still growing but no more buds and my leaves are falling off more so than they did in the summer... I have to leave it in my house during the winter months since it gets too cold here. its not the most sunny spot but its the best I have. When the summer comes back around will it perk back up or am I killing it? I'm horrible with plants and am trying my best to keep this one alive!
