In container gardening, it's important to choose the right potting mix. A good quality potting mix allows excess water to drain well from your pot but can still retain some moisture which does not easily dry out completely. Be wary of suppliers who sell cheap "potting mix" online. In reality, they just mix "loam" soil ( which can just be any garden soil) pumice and carbonized rice hull. Urban Gardening Mom explains...
