Would you or anyone on here recommend H&R sport lowering springs on a 24 WRX? Would lower about an inch.
I appreciate these videos. Very informative. I was surprised about the trans fluid change interval
*Ron, thank you for your thoughtful elucidation of this issue. PE money sloshing around often causes marketplace distortion and monopolistic consolidations. Usual result is detrimental to retailers and consumers. Your perspective is wide-ranging, clear and first-hand. I enjoy your commentaries. Cheers!*
Question ❓ id like to pick your brain , seems toyotas rav 4 & highlanders & all years old & new having warping issues?? Too small of a rotor ? Shit metal ? Calipers too small ? Or all of the above?? & What would you slap on them ?? Thanks !!
Bro said yeah u gotta change them out every six years 😭 bro made it sound u gotta change them every 10 months
That’s is my dad’s TRX
That’s my dad’s truch
5 min and no real information. Click bait. 🤬
Question, there are only so many refineries that make gasoline. When and where are the additives added if all gasoline in any particular area come from the same refinery?
This guy should be a politician. He talked for 15 & a half minutes and didn't really say anything worth listening to other than "it just depends on what you want". Complete waste of a quarter of an hour!
2:04 what are you saying! ARCI is TOP GEAR
I only put Costco gas in my 4Runner once I found out how good the quality control to their gas is.
Great video!
Looking on your site for h&r for 2022 civic ex-l n nothing shows up
Only think useful to me was Costco is good gas !
From my experience, if you live anywhere with rough roads (i live in Boston), and you care about ride quality at all, or daily your car, skip the BC BR's. ive had a set with swift springs on my Golf R for about a year. They've held up fine, but ride like hot dogshit. Just upgraded to Ohlins road and track. Definitely worth spending a bit more the first time.
Well yeah I think maybe I talk about it on other suspension videos, but you do get what you pay for, going the ohlins Route is just not in everyone budget but heck yeah worth it, i love them, just some people maybe aren't as enthusiastic about suspension? I talk about swift it's a linear spring has no business being on a street car, it's a bit of marketing they have successfully infiltrated the enthusiast culture with misinformation unfortunately. Appreciate the feedback!
Cosco gas is shell(alcohol)
Recently ordered a set of Hyundai manufactured lowering springs for my Elantra N and can’t figure they would be any more harsh as a daily driver than a FL5 r
Yoooo I was thinking about lowering my Elantra N, too. How much are the factory lowering springs, and how'd you get them? I have a set from AST motion that drops it I think an inch all around, but I haven't installed them yet.
Why is it that some h&r sport springs red and the others are blue? Is there any difference?
It used to be that the Race Springs were red, (a spring I will never recommend to anyone ever) and the blue springs were the normal lowering springs. However about 8 years ago, I started seeing the red and blue get on springs thats weren't race springs which confused things - so we always go by the part number on the spring. (maybe that was a temporary manufacturing messup) something I may have to ask H&R to see if was ever resolved. (Mind if I put this question up on our Q&A?)
@ please, go ahead
What about feeling smooth and bumpy on completely smooth roads
Are you referring to your suspension? Like possibly the shocks are blown, and bottoming out?
@talkingmods I think it's wheel balance or alignment yes the shocks are worn completely
I hate people running camber on their wheels. That should only be reserved for the drift track. You're destroying your tires and there's no benefit on the street. The best bet is to find the biggest tire that will fit in your wheel well without rubbing. I don't lift my vehicles. Hell I still drive a 2001 Blazer but it has 31 inch tires tucked up under it and it's still on its stock lift. This gives me a lot of stability which means that I can take corners as good as some cars. I'm less likely to roll. If you're up in your wheels you also have to think about upping your brakes as well as other drivetrain components. Tires don't work properly unless the whole tread surface is contacting the road so you're always losing traction with an offset camber.
On point! It comes down to applications if you need to customize it. Contact from our tires is super critical, and if you have time check out the full video, feedback there is always great!
In my opinion, it depends. Racetracks are much smoother. So, spring rates are more important. However, public roads are unpredictable. So, damping is much more important. Good damping is MUCH MUCH more expensive(complicated) than stiffer springs!!!
You want camber when youre going to tracks and should be changed for each track. The turn flattens your tire on the outside and gives you stable grip
Thats right, check out the full video, if you have a chance I go into the details of it. Appreciate the comment!
4 runner keeps warping the rotors should I upgrade the caliper or just the rotors
Rare for a caliper to go bad (very rare, but not like it can't happen) Could have it taken apart and evaluated if the caliper is bad. Make sure you do fresh pads and rotors at the same time to prevent warping. If there is plenty of life on the rotors (then to save money get them turned) and get some new pads.
I appreciate all the good "info" you provided! Didn't know a lot of what you covered! Thank you!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Is this a question? Of course Akrapovic !!!
bottom line, YOU DO NOT NEED performance brakes, unless you have a performance oriented ride and drive it like that. The 1st place to start when needing performance stopping (because you changed the power of the vehicle and plan to use it) is the tires. then the rims (getting lighter rims to lower the un sprung weight) then when you add a larger diameter rotor kit (braking is translating the motion into heat, a large diameter rotor will give you more time before the system gets so hot it diminishes stopping power) and if that's not enough (you feel un eveness in stopping power due to things like warped over-heated rotors and a ton of other issues) you need slotted, cross drilled or both. And if that's not enough you go to carbon fiber and start the process again. Also, noise while braking is an issue, it shows a few possible problems like over wearing, overheating and is a sign of an inadequate breaking system....but not always. Brakes are very technical and you can do wrong by over or under engineering the system. There is real math behind it and it is not something you want to just throw parts at.
I think you just saved me $300 for a YZF R1 mid pipe mod.
Thanks much for your insight! What would you suggest on a 2025 S3 Audi sedan sire to lower the body no more than an inch and a half at most thanks much!! Michael C
Anything dealers offer outside of the factory manual is a scam. I’d only do alignment at a shop that specialized in that, and dealership is not one of them, so as PPF, bodywork etc.
Bro we see u looking at the script
Good video and good explanation how not to use string and plates vs a computer based system
I believe the myth of alignment frequency originated from manufacturers of alignment machines for return on investment purposes. Our problem as shop owners is that we don’t view alignment machines the same way we view 2-post lifts.
Thanks, car pulls bad.
Thanks whenit is a women prospective 😊!!

Something about flying a 747 with street clothes on is f_ckin bad ass.
If it's a front wheel drive???
A month ago just purchased my first ever Subaru WRX, love the car so far. I ‘d like to do a mild lowering on my WRX, the ride it’s a little harsh, specially at city streets, but once on the highway it’s fine. Should I get the H & R or the Ebach? Or much is a good quality Coilover Set?
Whenever you have the time, just give us a call here at ModBargains 714.582.3330 or email us at sales@ModBargains.com myself or a ModExpert will help dial it in for you depending on what your budget and needs are. We look forward to helping you.
Is H and R sport springs a good choice for G80 M3 RWD? Debating between Eibach and H and R
There are several other options available out there that should be looked at in my opinion, but also all depends on waht you want to achieve. Feel free to give us a call here at 714.582.3330 or email us at sales@ModBargains.com myself or a ModExpert on the team will be happy to help in choosing.
Want to lower my MK seven GTI with Springs but do not want to go sideways over speed bumps any recommendations thank you. Less aggressive is better.
No springs should make you go sidways after a speedbump :) but less aggressive in general is going to be Eibach, and also check out vogtland's offering as well. If you need assistance with an order his us up here at ModBargains, sales@modbaragins.com or 714.582.3330
9 minutes of meaningless arguments. There is no earthly reason why anyone, and that's anyone - needs an obnoxiously loud exhaust for ANY reason. Noise pollution ruins the health and well-being of everyone. I live in a community that is 18K people per square mile. There is normal street noise, emergency vehicles, and buses that we accept every so often. Buy loud booming stereos, motorcycle pipes, or bozos with super loud exhausts are basically run out of town and for good reason. I can certainly appreciate modified cars for better performance. But you cannot in 9 or 90 minutes justify any reason why a super loud exhaust modification is any kind of personal "expression," it's being an asshole.
Please elaborate on your statement about the spoiler helping you when launching your Porsche, I don't see how a spoiler which is an aerodynamic device can assist a car that isn't moving or is at low speed (as is the case when launching) since there is negligible airflow over the spoiler? Or am I misunderstanding the context somehow?
Happy to, I would have thought that you need some real speed to realize it as well. But on my own Porsche Turbo when the spoiler is up, as it's picking up speed off of launching it, I've noticed that the there is a big difference on how the car responds. Even from 20mph climb to say 50mph (which happens pretty quickly) there is a force being put on the vehicle helps the rear from not shifting as much as when the spoiler is down (when it's down, I can definitely feel the rear slightly shift). Having a dynamic spoiler and being able to feel the shift is really interesting in being able to directly see the difference. Hope that helps explain things
I've been ONLY going to Costco gas for the last 5+ years. When I put 87 octane, my engine KNOCKS. I can hear it knocking as I accelerate. If I put 87 Octane Shell it does not knock. Because Costco 87 octane knocks in my car engine, I put Costco 91 Octane and there is no knocking. Ironically the 91 Octane at Costco is still cheaper than 87 Octane Shell or Exxon near me.
Very useful video. Thank you for sharing the knowledge.
will my eibach lowering springs lower later on down the road ? could it be like weeks or even months ? bc i see other cars with the same springs and it lowkey looks a lil lower than mine
Well Eibach springs are supposed to be pre-settled(been told so by the factory), so that they really don't change much, not to say there couldn't be a slight like a .1-.2 drop right after installation, but generally that shouldn't be the case.
gotta mention too that metallic pads shed hot metal flakes that burn the paint finish on the wheels.
