Economy notwithstanding, since SEMA left Anaheim it is an exhausting, power-walking marathon.* *Original "dynamic spoilers" were attached to two Chaparrals driven by Jim Hall and Hap Sharp at Laguna Seca, May 1966. That Sunday, the string-back glove types were first derisive, then shocked, later dismayed to see them decisively win both heats. Just a toddler sitting on Dad's shoulders but I remember those wings flipping up and down at every corner. Nice to see the idea re-appear after only 55 years. Cheers!*
The surprising thing is now that we are in a good year after this video, I am not seeing much adoption yet on the dyanmic spoilers. I think the idea is great and the processing power is available there, just has to be built right and with some real world proving tests that need to be conducted for it (somebody out of F1 needs to come help them dial in their products). DRS on all the time lol
