The R5 3600 is such a great cpu for its price. It handles overclocking like a champ. I got mine clocked at 4.4ghz and paired with a 4070. They seem to be a great match so far!
It's horrible for you GPU. I also have one paired with my RTX 2080 S and it bottlenecks so bad at more demanding games like Cyberpunk. It's good for 60fps, but above 80 fps is almost impossible. Also games like Elden Ring on a r5 3600 barely can keep up with stable 60 fps
The 3600s are still really good. Its a 4090 tho. Most will have a 3070 and under. So the difference is only really from using the best gou on the planet. A 3600 5600x 5700x with a 3070 are all reasonably close in fps. Some games will need more.
