I am disappointed but like most not surprised. Your comments about average speed cameras - right?! Why do so many people struggle with this concept and hit the brakes just before one, then speed up again?! I feel like some people don't understand the actual meaning of 'average'.

A blow mate and as a content creator who's toed similar issues, I have a great empathy for what you are going through now. If I can offer some tips, you can still promote your expertise and authority on TH-cam without directly having to do your job. I.e. look at 74Gear and a whole host of other pilots on TH-cam. Very rarely (if ever) do they show themselves working in the cockpit for similar reasons. But they have built incredibly successful channels by demonstrating their expertise and utilising their unfair advantage. This could come in a whole loads of ways. I.e. you analysing other public transport systems around the world. Interviewing other drivers. Playing Tube simulators and how it compares to real life. Etc etc. There's always a new and different angle to cover. It might not gain as much traction and successful as initially, but you will find one or two different kinds of videos that will do well with your audience. Through pivoting my own content I experimented into the world of London food, which has since gone on to become one of the most popular formats on my channel. See what else works and double down on it! But above all. If the pressure of making content feels a bit much. Stop. Take a break. And come back when you actually want to share content. Don't worry about the idea of the audience waiting around for you, or letting them down. There's tons of other content on TH-cam they can find. And when you come back, fresher than ever, they'll be grateful for the energy and how much work you've put into it!

That’s a shame Dale. Hopefully TFL come to their senses. In the meantime, maybe some little vlog videos that aren’t work related around your home town and London, livestream Q&A videos, hell- cooking videos work 😂 doesn’t matter what it is mate. You have a following already. I will say though - it’s good they at least didn’t ask that the existing vids come down.

Next time you're abroad, try making yourself known to the local metro/tube drivers. You might get some local tit-bits from them or even bag yourself a cab ride.

You're brave getting changed into the PJs before take off! I don't even take my shoes off until we're airborne, whatever class. I know it's unlikely but I want to be properly dressed for an evacuation. Not to mention the jinx-factor of course, hehe. Trans-Atlantic flights used to seem really long when I did it regularly, but now I'd hate to "waste" a business or first ticket on such a short flight, with no time to really enjoy everything AND sleep.

Your unique tube driving vids with fabulous commentary are sorely missed :(

Just for a note of interest - I used to travel by Concorde on the LHR/NY route back in the day, and the very last flight I took in March 2003 from JFK to LHR BA002 was on G-BOAF, and that is the very nose cone sitting right there that belonged to G-BOAF! Whenever I now spend time in The Concorde Room it makes me feel so blessed to know I once sat behind that nose cone zooming across the Atlantic at Mach2. Now I have to put up with BA First - go on say it, spoilt git!
