Why your "Peanut Butter" might not be Peanut Butter

And in the process, hopefully learn why all of the words on food labels mean...

Ember Coffee Mug Review: Things you need to know.
Great eduction on how it’s done in the desert. Great editing and explaining the process. Really entertaining too. Bottom line, you spent a lot of money for that 600 foot deep hole. The drilling company did a beautiful job. From the “Show me State” Missouri
nicely done
Love this idea! I wonder if you’d get any sag over time if you mounted them in the same way on the side wall. Appreciate the video being brief too! 🙏
I like it...not for me though, I live in Florida.
No magnetic fields in Florida?
@@LetsOverthinkThis Hurricanes
Hopefully the military base hasn’t contaminated the aquifer
Nope. I'm a few thousand feet higher. And pretty far away.
Can this withstand the monsoon rain
Yep!
Так что с водой-то? Так и не добрались?
Thanks. I'm trying to figure this out. I'm thinking I need an easily expandable rack system. I am surprised no one has just figured that out and stuck it in a box.
Great video. About what do they charge per foot? Thanks
Would have been better to truck your water in ? That must have cost mucho dineros??
You can't pull a building permit here without your own water, a policy I agree with. Though you are grandfathered in if your well runs dry. So it's a moot point, but it would certainly be cheaper in the short term 😉
Use to go 4x4ing out there many years ago in the 80s I pretty much gone thru that whole area & can tell many stories bout the whole desert area.
Buscando. H20. Water.
How much does this well cost to drill ?
600 feet is just a Gopher Hole. I have been on pre Cased Holes that were 2500 feet Deep Drilled with an RC Drill.
🙌 I don't know what any of that means, but sounds impressive 🤣
I just had to drill 800 feet in Montana for 4 gallons a minute
Yeah I'm at 3-4gpm too. At least you got water! 🙌
Por aí existe aquelas pessoas que fazem marcação de poços com "gancho" de goiabeira?? Aqui tem muito desses enganadores.
No idea how much something like that costs, my guess is 26k
About twice that.
What internet service are you using? I can't get any wifi camera to work unless it's on the internet. Below us my issue. You don't want these floodlight camera if it's wifi because none work when Internet goes out leaving you with NO LIGHT and NO SECURITY. They can make the camera and light work without internet so you at least have your light and camera local for security like you can connect to a printer by wifi without internet. Don't buy ANY wifi light camera unless they allow them to work when the internet drops. I found this out the hardway when a hurricane hit us we had power but internet dropped then we had ZERO outside light or Security. So to disable your security and light all someone has to do is just cut your internet.
I’ve been doing a channel binge and your creativity is great . Keep it up , I can’t wait for the next episode !
Thx! Sadly I had to pivot from making videos but hopefully will come back sooner rather than later!
I’m an assistant well driller in Northern California by San Jose I would love to make a TH-cam channel for our company Guardino well drilling
You should do it! People seem interested in the subject judging by the fact that this video is my most popular.
great video, my biggest question is how much did it cost? I would assume it was by the foot.
Around $55k. There is a base fee as I recall, and the pump cost is fixed. But the drilling and the PVC pipe all of the way back up are indeed both by the foot!
Fascinating. I'm a little shocked you found water at 480 feet. I would have thought you'd need to drill much deeper, maybe 1-2,000 feet.
Standing water was quite a bit higher (something like 180 feet!) which is even more impressive. We just only were able to check after they had drilled to 480 and pulled out all of the drilling rod!
I know this was 2 years ago, but approximately how much did it cost you to drill a well in the southwest The United States.
$55k or so but this varies literally by neighborhood depending on geology, altitude, ease of access etc. I would definitely not use this as any guide for what it costs in the southwest United States. It could be $15k or $70k depending....
Did the water stink?
It does smell a little! Not the end of the world.
How deep untill you first hit water?
The standing water level is around 180 as I recall but because these are not high producing wells, you don't know you hit it until you pull all of the rod out and wait overnight for it to rise again.
So I noticed that they using galvanized steel pipe in this well. I myself wouldn't use any galvanized metal parts in my well or my house I've had that at the water meter and the galvanized pipe rusted out so I got my sheval out and dug a hole and had a plumber come out replaced the galvanized with brass pipe. Problem solved.
The 600 feet that conveys water is sch120 PVC with stainless steel couplings. there is only 20 feet of steel at the top, surrounded by concrete to keep the well head in place and prevent contamination. Where did you see galvanized?
@LetsOverthinkThis it looked like there was this metal pipe with plastic parts with vavle where you could turn on and off this was towards the end of the video.
@@raystevens687 OH! Lol, yeah, the 18" stub out at the top? Yeah I may swap that out when we plumb it into the underground line leading to the storage tank. I'm not a fan of galvanized in this application either, but it's not very much. Thanks for the comment!
Where’s the next video?
Sorry, I needed to concentrate on doing the work and it turned out also filming it by myself was way more than I could do. Someday I may edit and post.
I bet a Flex Aware on the outside of that shipping container would be helpful too. I have a few that I use. (It's like a contact sensor but battery powered + cellular connection.)
Yes for sure! I have some solutions like that deployed all around 😉
Was that North American Drilling in Pioneertown? Good friends of mine Tom and Malissa?
It was! They're awesome people and do great work!
How do you determine where to dig? Did you use the dowsing rods method?
I didn't as I don't believe in it but many people do and that's fine! If it works at all I definitely don't think it works hundreds of feet deep through olid granite. 😉 For me I chose the place they makes the most sense for me to have the well as any other place would have meant a lot of trenching for water pipe through rock or other extra expenses and annoyances.
one question sir. where does the line go into the container at?
Just a wire gland on the side. Nothing fancy but it works!
If you don’t mind me asking how much is the cost of your water well?
It was $55k ish.
Monsoon proof?
Yes. Hurricane proof? Definitely not.
Another good video! Realizing that I have plenty of work to get done on my property.
Glad you liked it!
Did you have to get a permit from the county and did you have to do any prep work before placing your shipping container? I'm working on a project in the high desert as well. Hopefully you come back with more videos breaking down your journey they are definitely helpful.
Good video! I don't have the tools or the experience for the builds so it may not be DIY but I need security cameras soon probably even before fencing perimeters.
About how much does it cost to do this? Is it like a minimum fee and then by depth? Thanks, Mike
It's a cost per foot (there isnt a minimum since they know it's hundreds of feet around here no matter what), and then a few fixed fees like the pump cost. This was around $55k but the costs vary enormously even just across small distances since the geology can change a lot, plus local labor costs, accessibility, etc. Thx for watching!
I’m reading comments to see if you explained the cost to drill this well, but I don’t see any. What was the total cost drilling up to 600’?
It was around $55k but this varies enormously across even small distances due to geology differences, local labor costs, site conditions, etc.
Running these tests after installing your treatment systems would be interesting. I'm on city water from deep wells. They say it's safe, but I don't drink it, use bottled water for drinking and cooking.
I agree and I hope to do that! Hard to win either way.... Bottled water almost always has microplastics and leached plastic chemicals in it too. 😔
You cant eat or drink paper money or a debit card.Electricity will go out! You need water to live.
? That's why I had a well drilled 🤷
600 feet? Wow! 😂
Yep!
Dont reverese it!
?
Very cool, thanks.
How much did this cost?
depends on what county and how deep water is, it can b 25k$.
How did you pick your spot to drill?
How did you pick your spot to drill?
Why drill in a dessert? Seems like a bad idea.
It's where I want to live so it makes sense for me 😉
Nice video. Sounds like your water will be fine if you are there on the weekends. A good reverse osmosis system should clean your water up
I'm there a lot more than that but yes, r/o is the way to go!
Very well presented by a pleasant voice. Excellent videos. :)
Thanks!
Wow that was super satisfying what a great thing to understand what a really cool process really cool
Glad you enjoyed it! Thx for watching 😁
