  • An engineer and product designer's look at how this crazy makeup printer actually works! Including a cool shot of the makeup actually being shot from the print-head.
    For a live chat about the OPTE with a real user, including a conversation about its industial design, check this out: • Video
    To see how well it works, check out my girlfriends post on actual use: tvCOKIkz7p...
    (not promoted)
    Btw the screen on the opte looks fine. It just records weird due to a frame rate/refresh mismatch.

    I have been "Overthinking" for months whether I should buy this or not but you have made it very clear that it is merely a makeup applicator and not a laser remover device for dark spots. I guess I will keep on applying my makeup manually. Thanks for an amazing video.

      You're welcome! Someone else mentioned that people think it's a laser device... Not sure how that rumor spread, but yeah, it's just a smart serum/makeup applicator. Definitely no lasers.

    The spikes could be for the color to deposit deeper into the skin. Thank you breaking down this device. It’s cute. 😊

      Is your GF liking it & are you noticing the difference? It’s such an innovated device.

      @@cindywatson8299 She likes it quite a bit though I will say it's very subtle in use.... I think she likes it mainly because it lets her wear less makeup overall. I don't care either way as she is beautiful with and without. Definitely innovative though!

      If they'd made it refillable they probably would have sold a lot but they want you to repurchase their overpriced serum every two months

    when WHEN are we going to get the device that I put my face into and it puts all my makeup on for me

      Right?! There was a classic Simpsons episode where homer fashions one out of a rifle but something tells me we might need to do better than that, LOL.
      Anyway, thx for watching!

    So this is just a make-up applicator, not a laser that removes pigment... 🤣

    • @LetsOverthinkThis
      @LetsOverthinkThis  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yep. Though admittedly it's a makeup applicator with an optical reader and microfluidics depositor. Whether anyone needs such a thing is another question 😂

      @@LetsOverthinkThis Ding, ding, ding! For $500, it's deceiving. Many women think because of the "clicking" noise and price, that it's like a broad band light laser "deleting" age spots and the like. Thank you SO MUCH for this vid and response!

    • @jessesilver
      @jessesilver 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FalconTypo6 Crazy, didn't know anyone thought this since it's pretty clear when you use it that there is a "consumable" with makeup in it! In fact, you have to buy it in the shade that generally matches your skin tone. Anyway, maybe people just see the price tag and the blue leds and think something else.

    • @missbeaussie
      @missbeaussie 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It comes with an extra cartridge of serum so the actual product is worth about $150 less.
