NOT a video about organic or "natural" peanut butter or about stir vs no stir. Instead, let's take a look at the "Standard of Identity" for Peanut Butter which gives the FDA's legal requirements for a product to be called that. And in the process, hopefully learn why all of the words on food labels mean something and are likely VERY carefully chosen.
Special thanks to www.jaylifton.com for writing the opening and closing music.

Love it! The only TH-cam channel in history to walk you through FDA regulations and smash a lightbulb in the same video.

The funniest part was me trying to find one normal old-school light bulb to smash. Effing energy-efficient CF and LED bulbs! ;)

Awesome!! Love this review of the difference between peanut butter and peanut butter spreads. I had no clue what was what. Very informative. I wonder these manufacturers has the same standards of labeling, manufacturing, and quality when their products are sold in different countries. Rock On Jesse!!

Thanks!! I really appreciate the positive comment. These videos take SO long to make so it's nice to know people enjoy them. Good eye, on the LED thing! That is a crazy 6' spinning LED persistence of vision globe I made and there will definitely be a series of videos on it once I figure out how to film it! It looks great in person but since the video frame rate and the spin rates don't sync, it looks pretty bad from the camera perspective. But I have some ideas, so stick around and the videos will come.

Had a friend who grew the most delicious, but ugly brown oranges in Belize, the juice concentrate, not the oranges themselves were exported to Florida to be blended with Florida orange juice. The company that marketed the beverage stated on the container, Made with 100% Florida orange juice, not made from 100% Florida orange juice, advertising, or misinformation at its finest.

Palm oil is much healthier than hydrogenated oils so despite your disclaimer on health I think this still qualifies as a sort of peanut butter. It’s peanut butter enough.

Exactly palm oil is a better ingredient so shame on the FDA for this one. Apparently you can make a better product and not fall into the standards of the regulation.

Spread or not, it's not "butter" either. Part 2? (w/ possible cameos from Shaq and Larry David)

Oh man sorry to hear that! What additives do you think? You can easily get PB that's just peanuts or peanuts and salt.
