The Identity Trap: A Conversation with Yascha Mounk
If US deep states allow him to do,,, But I don’t think so,,, Just for campaign election 🤣
How can you make peace if you are loosing and are unviliing to even recognise what the war is about. Ukraine can join NATO, after it wins the war. But it won't win. So, when you decide you want peyce, You're gonna have to give up on the NOAT, or whatever.
There will be no peace if your ‘path’ is chosen. The war started because of NATO appalling refusal to recognize Russia’s security needs… And you keep talking about NATO. NATO is a defensive alliance, really? What’s this? NATO propaganda?… 🙄
Thanks. I was struck by (former) Dept SecGen of NATO saying Tulsi Gabbard etc were "**clearly worrying**. Seems more striking when NATO says it (as opposed to political commentators).
Yeah, by the way, what happened to the " End of history" and with the bold prediction that Liberal capitalism will rule the World for the next thousand years? Do you know why you never see professionals ( professors, doctors, lawyers) at the race track? Because they are just as bad as anyone else predicting the future, but more than anything, they always like to be right. Why else insist to be addressed as a "Dr." in informal meetings?
This ends with a Russia that is bankrupt or losing Crimea to Ukraine. Crimea must import everything and all bridges are targets.
Two delusional experts talking about irreversible path for Ukraine to NATO. The announcement of entry into NATO of Ukraine in 2008 was the primary reason this war happened. Russia would never allow this to happen and the evidence is there in the battlefield for everyone to see. A whole generation of Ukraine is lost in this war but the DOGS of WAR would never let this come in their way.
There are only three parties who can end this war - Zelensky, Putin, or the Russian people.
we need Peace!
Win win. Lose lose . Trump will take 30 billion from old Putty in an off shore account and cut ukraine loose as a goose !!.. what are you geniuses talking about ??
Fukuyama, man, we need you, these motherfuckers like John Mearsheimer, Stephen Walt, and other anti-liberals are totally taking over! We need somebody to say something from the other side, i do not know are you aware that their ideas won and that nobody believes in liberal ideas anymore. Fascist Trump and Musk in the US, LePen in France, Afd is coming in Germany, and Italy already has Mussolini's Meloni, Wilders, Orban and all the others. What happened with you liberals, gone with the wind? You gotta wake up, man, stand up and keep on fighting! We still believe in you, do you believe in yourself?
We haven't seen this since Galileo... WWI WWII?? Deceptions. Optical illusions.
The "necklace ladies" are providing Astrological Templates to the Portal Guys... At least that's what they think they're doing. That was the deal, right?? :)
I'm not convinced that's a good question to ask, for two reasons.
Sounds like an Andy Roddick rant ;)
Yes. Yes!! You can talk to them like that... Didn't you know?? That's the whole point :)

Israel? Western Europe? South America? and the sort. I think Africa belongs to the butchers at Red Cross... Am I being ambitious? :)
Too much talk about cease fire , that would be to the great disadvantage of Russia , NATO is off the table , totally
russia is paying a heavy price for this conquest
@@websitemartian Ukraine is paying an heavier price
The two main demands of the SMO No NATO in Ukraine and justice for the ethnic Russians living there Minsk and Istanbul included those demands and for Russia that will be the starting point for talks. Freedom and democracy can exist in a neutral country EU membership for Ukraine has never been a problem for Russia and it had nothing to do with Crimea or the SMO, as the woman said. The SMO is about security. NATO may say they are a defensive bloc but for Russia putting NATO weapons closer and closer is obviously considered offensive. NATO base in Romania --- MK The military base at Mihail Kogqlniceanu, southeast Romania on the Black Sea coast, will become the largest NATO military base in Europe and will surpass the USA military base in Ramstein, Germany in size What should Russia think? Does this have anything to do with the rejected election? Security for Ukraine, Russia, Europe and the world must be sorted out. Feeding this war only fuels more insecurity -- diplomacy/talks is the path emphasized by everybody -- except the west. Orban, Tucker and Olaf are accused of treason for talking to Putin. wtf?? Trump has an opportunity to end this security mess. Can he, will he?? The BRICS+ movement is our best hope, join, help shape it
If Mr. Trump can convince China & India (?) to stop supplying weapons, then yes.
All she knows is some sort of "phallic-hate-envy" ideology.
Well. Ask her if she knows the true nationality of these "migrants." She doesn't. Ask her if she knows about "synthetic humanoids." She doesn't.
That's called Windows '95 Solitaire, or in other words, you know "on a need to know basis" and in some cases we lie to you :)
This is called "rune." There are about forty standard runes, they can be concatenated, and there you have it... a cocktail. It is "the ideology" that screws their minds, an ideology that I don't quite understand yet.
who wants to bet that trump will do an 180 and just say it's Russia's playground, the US should have no say there, Ukraine used to belong to Russia etc.
It is a hybrid. "The Ghost in the Shell." There's two trees to go out on. You sort of got one, the other is Silicon Valley, I promise you... Yet... on esotericist things... men are always on top. As in all things. It's us men who are failing them. Always!! :)
That's *the other* "govt" not the standard govt. The standard govt changes every four years, a handover ceremony takes place, one person packs his things, another person arrives...
Universities are ruined by the Frat Culture. Browse a little, what can I say... :)
Sir, this goes back to John Carpenter's "They Live" and to the missile crisis in Cuba as redacted by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, if I am not mistaken... and to Christophor Columbus who brought a bunch of Maltesers over there :)
Trump is self-centered, egotistical clown. He will do a deal with Putin for his gain and Ukraine's detriment.
I find this conversation naive. NATO membership takes time, lots of conditions to be met, assurance it will happen some time is a non starter.
NATO, under Trump, will be to protect its other members from _internal_ threats, primarily from the US itself, not necessarily from external threats. In other words, you pay 2% of your GDP to the US and the US will protect you from other NATO members and outside threats _if it suits the US_ . This will become evident when Russia strikes inside the NATO territory bordering Ukraine (Romania and Poland) and Trump refuses to get the US involved in a kinetic war with Russia under NATO Article 5.
For Russia the best would be to simply fight on, the west will betray them anyway.
Trump can't even end a coitus session. I don't even think he knows where Ukraine is on the map.
Who said capitalism is the end of history? Francis Fukuyama The End of History and the Last Man is a 1992 book of political philosophy. Berlin Wall fell in 1989. Fukuyama argues that history should be viewed as an evolutionary process, and that the end of history, in this sense, means that liberal democracy is the final form of government for all nations. According to Fukuyama, liberal democracy has repeatedly proven to be a fundamentally better system (ethically, politically, economically) than any of the alternatives, and so there can be no progression from it to an alternative system.
Professor, with all due respect, looks like Trump is getting some things right against all your unfounded warnings
You have no clue what you're talking about
Trump is a disaster and will run America into the ground ...now it will take longer to defeat russia
Nationalization of arms industries follows
God bless you both.
Mr Fukuyama, if I may suggest, the mic needs to be either better or closer to the person talking. The signal to noise ratio is off, the noise is almost louder then the signal/voice. Thanks for the videos!
A different background for each person would help too (or properly align the single one used). It's very disorientating, as it is. I feel very churlish asking Mr (Prof?) Fukuyama to up his media game. :D
America needs democracy
Thank you Ben Hodges I totally believe in your logical answer. I'm abs confident that @Volodymyr @Zelensky @UKRAINE WILL THE CREATOR & RULER OF A DEMOCRATIC RUSSIA, WITH ALL ITS INDEPENDENT REPUBLICS UNDER HIS WING WITH THE CAPITAL IN KYIEV. I PRAY FOR IT & FOR THE ERADICATION OF COMMUNISM ON EARTH. LOVE YOU VOLODYMYR ZELENSKY. WISH YOU SUCCESS. MUSHTAQ MACCHIWALLA
Que asco leopoldo lopez, un traidor cómplice del gobierno de maduro. Ojalá nunca regrese a venezuela.
liberals like Fukyama see bogeymen like Trump as the problem manipulating low IQ Americans to their will. Truth is Trump is a johnny-come-lately to the party. People just can take only so much bullshit. Not trusting liberal academics, corporations, the media and government was inevitable.
are you Humeniuk, Gumeniuk or Goumeniouk
Fukuyama sama, what is the difference of full scale invasion or simply invasion and war?You really think that Ukranians have will to fight simple military operation or is some kind of other operation...usa have will to fight "untill the last ukranian" so they send them bullets to resist Russia...how cute.Where when you been you "humanitarians"last 20 years when nazis shell Ukranians from Donbas...14 years, where?
...and then the exact opposite happened! A classic case of a fool believing his own propaganda.
"rational individuals, with self interest, will not act to achieve their own common or group interests ". OLSON, Mancur. The logic of collective action. Cambridge, Harvard University Press, 1977, page 2. I open my argument with the previous quote. People not getting together in organizations is not a new phenomenon, as Olson stated. Other approach made by psychologist and sociologist Sam Vaknin states that nowadays individuals are becoming solipsistic, schizoid, solitary. Lack of trust in organizations will be more common in the future. In Japan there are classes to learn how to date. Virtual reality will increase that trend.
