I’m greatly relieved and I am cautiously hopeful that we are seeing cracks in the MAGA hold on the GOP. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the Speaker of the House dared to challenge the MAGA enforcers during the week of jury selection for Trump’s first criminal trial, and that the vote occurred on the weekend before the trial itself got underway (last Saturday and today, respectively).

The odious Anna Paulina Luna claimed that patriotic Republicans told her that if she and other MAGA traitors sought to remove Speaker Johnson, they'd resign and, thereby, hand over control of the house to the Democrats. You also had a GOP representative on CNN the other day decrying the fact that he has had to serve alongside MAGA traitors like Matt Gaetz. Even Fox News hosts called out the hypocrisy of those who support Trump or even those like Barr who oppose him but will still vote for him in an election against President Biden. Hopefully, this nightmare will come to an end soon!
Fukuyama-San, The delay was sickening. Mike Johnson is NO bloody hero. The fact that he prefers sending bullets instead of his own son (who is about to enter a naval academy) is highly insulting to Ukrainians who have suffered unnecessary, grievous losses due to this delay.
Don’t let perfect be the enemy of good. It seems what got Johnson to finally listen to reason was classified intelligence briefings about Russias desire to take on the baltics.
