How to pause and park every layer for in synced time lapses photos?
This was really helpful! Thank you!
Exactly the info I needed. Much thanks!
Can you provide a tutorial on how to make your door?
My door? The one behind me in the video?
I'm wondering how you are getting the advanced options for supports? I can just enable supports and pick basic options like tree (normal), tree (manual), normal (auto), and normal(manual)? Nothing like you have such as base pattern spacing, top interface? I had more options when I was using flashprint.
you have the "Advanced" Toggled on, correct? On the Process header section section.
Nice name by the way.
@ I did not. Thank you so much for your help!
Go to 2:40 for the answer
You are incredible! Thank you. Love that you not only answered the question but also the cooling tidbit🙌 Love your understanding of the software and the breakdown.
Very helpful ! Thank you !!!
Obrigado!
great vid!! much appreciated
mine was stringing at 0.8 and turned out that 0 was the setting with zero stringing. What does that mean? PETGHF on P1S with Hardened 0.4 Hotend.
instead of moving the text inwards 0.625" and making the cylinder 3", make the cylinder smaller than the sphere by the same distance you move the text inwards so it follows a uniform radius
Stringing gets worse with higher retraction values on Sovol SV08 Core XY printer. Strange.
bonjour, merci beaucoup pour votre vidéo qui m'a été très utile. MERCI
Really helpful video, thankyou! The bit that I was struggling with was the different print speeds or different layer heights, for example, after the filament change. Judging by what you said at the end of the video, this cant be changed for different filaments?
If you wanted to move on of the holes in a direction, from the place you ended the video, would you be able to?
sorry for the delay. It depends. If it's a straight through hole with no threads you should be able to click on that feature and hit the "m" key and move it around. If it has threads, countersinks, etc.. the best way might be to right-click on the hole feature in the timeline at the bottom. From there you should be able to reposition the hole(s). You may need to deselect "modeled" threads first to give fusion some geometry to move around. Otherwise you could always try editing the sketch if you sketched in points to reference hole positions. If you move the point in the sketch, the hole will follow the new location of the sketch point.
Thanks for keeping them short and to the point.
I love your videos. I find your manner of relaying information extremely easy to understand. Thanks for helping us newbies!
Nice one. Direct and no fuss.. Cheers
It is really stupid thing that you can't change speeds or use another filament settings.. It's only works for color change but you can't use it with different plastics like PETG+TPU.. Thank you for tutorial man! It's really helps.
How do you tell the print when to stop, in order to change the filament? I've been wanting to print some frames that have different color raised text on it but can't figure out how to tell Orca when to stop the frame print so I can change the color and it can continue right at the point the text starts.
on the right side, in the preview tab there is a layer slider, drag the bottom slider up to the desired layer, right click, and press add pause, then when the print is at that layer the printer will pause allowing you to change the fillament
Newb here. What is a Filament G-Code?
no worries. we were all newbs at one point. what type pf printer do you have? under the printer settings you can manually add g-code to change filament. This particular video would be a reference if you're using something like and ender 3 that has Marlin based g-code and you'd use an m600 command to initiate a printer pause to change the filament.
@@fischer3d Flashforge Adventure 5m. No idea what a G-Code is. Need to research.
Thank you great video, new to 3D printing, what other videos could you suggest for a first timer to any of this? Thanks!
Thanks. Is there a way to do this with one part that has numerous tall sections? Or does it only work for separate parts?
Others -> under "Special Mode" -> Spiral vase
Is there a way to select all the “points” in the pattern? Making a wall for a waterfall. So I have around 250 points to select for the holes to be.
I found out myself lol. I just did a window select for all my points I made in the sketch. Maybe should add that you can window select vs clicking every single point in the pattern.
How do choose the distance between the holes for the rectangular pattern though?
when you select the item to pattern, under the "Distribution" section of the flyout window it defaults to "extent" you can change that to "Spacing" then you can select how many and the distance between.
@@fischer3d Thanks!
how i put mannual bed and nozzle temparature in orca slicer i search all settings but not find
nozzle and bed temps are governed by the filament settings. next to the name of your filament there is an icon to "edit presets" there you can set the nozzle and bed temps
Blockers will work even if you are using auto supports. So, if there are a lot of supports added automatically and you just don't one in one place, you don't have to go and paint all of the other supports. In fact, if you are doing manual, I don't think you need to use blockers since it'll only add them where you paint them.
Quick question..why when I add a M600 at layer..does the paint layers keep changing? Like I add it at 11..rezlice and then it shows color change on 10 instead of 11 it use to be
Can you add a modifier on one object. For example, I want layer 30-40 to be 50% infill instead of 15% or change print temp lower from layer 30-40? Just some examples to find out if Orca allows for this time of setting changes?
for the infill example, yes. you can add a modifier that effects the infill. For the temp, I don't see a way to change that with a modifier. for temps you may have to play with gcode directly.
@@fischer3d thanks. I now see that by using height modifier it will allow me to do this for infill. Thanks.
Thanks a lot,was super helpful,i was looking for a good tutorial on vasemode on orca slicer, also will check on that sponsor and see how it goes for some prototypes that i currently can't make on my own
Thank you..learn something new..going to try 2 color tomorrow
I tried Orca and it SUCKED ... needed to move to another slicer to get the Max Flow Limitation capability... Tried Orca and got so much stringing it was ridiculous... couldn't even get a decent retraction test... stringing EVEYWHERE... Moved over to Prusa slicer and WOW! HUGE IMPROVEMENT!!! WAY better than Cura or Orca... Right outta the gate the print turned out PERFECT FIRST GO... No contest... at least for me...
Simple and to the point, thank you!
That was very helpful and to the point. Love the no-fuss-presentation, almost like a spoken out wiki entry, I like it!
Great detailed and easily understandable explanation
Thanks so much for this video, save me the time learning fusion 360 just to do this on a part . You are the best!
can you make a tutorial of a helmet but in parts not the hole thing like tis video, ow we can measure somethingin parts?
new update with added more power to Offsets! No more error while creating offsets of offset!
That's exactly what I was searching for !!!!! Thanks buddy
Don’t apologize for your content. If the viewer is bothered by it then they will leave, and if they are still there by the end, then they were not bothered enough to need an apology.
Thanks so much for show these tips. I would have saved +++ hours of work had I seen your video earlier....lol
What if you have 2 tall parts and 1 small part with variable height? say two tall parts with same height and then a small one with half the height?
generally best to use the auto arrange feature. typically orca will place the smallest at the front of the build plate, and the two taller ones middle, then back of plate.
Im a cura user an ust started orca. i notest it adding topp layers to my print. set it ti 3 an it sliced with 4. set ut to 4 an it sliced with 6. hav you had that? I fill like i got less control in orca.
Basically Orca will use which ever value is greater between Top Shell Layers and Top Shell Thickness. So if you say 5 top shell layers at .2mm layer height (1mm total), but have 2mm in Top Shell Thickness, it's going to produce more top layers then specified in the Top Shell field.
i can not stop this orca from printing brims even when its set to none. nothing i do n the brim tab changes the brim, its like its stuck at a fat brim hats attached to my parts. any idea?
click over to the Objects setting (Next to the word "Process"). Check to see that Brims aren't enable in the Object settings.
@@fischer3d thanks for that, nothing would stop it until i did a reboot of the software then it was ok but i have a fresh problem that's a complete stopper for me to use the software, i guess I'm either unlucky or just a magnet to bugs, but when i print in this slicer my print layers do not line up at all, every layer is about 0.5 mm to one side. imagine a deck of cards nicely in a stack then slide them from the top to one, side that's how my prints turn out, unusable, i just wish simplyfy3d had the fuzzy print. I'm using an ender 5
Thanks! - One thing to mention is that this menu is disabled if your orca slicer is busy printing. :D
very helpful! thank you =)
I was going crazy looking for where to actually add the pause. Thank you. Also you touch your hair a lot lol.
@gotenks157 same..couldn't find it anywhere
Super helpful, BUTTTT I can't figure out how to do this with 81 of them. I for it to work once but it was complicated and I can't remember how I did it.
