    Big thanks, super helpful! Was fighting with making my own connectors in fusion 360 and was really feeling that some pre-designed solution would be better. And here it is!

    2 icons to the right of the 'Rotate' button is the 'Lay On Face' button it makes it much easier to 'rotate' the item, you just click it an then click the face you want to be on the bed plate. Nice tutorial by the way 😊

    The orca Sliver cut feature, Mode Planar, we unable to type in the X, Y degree for cutting? i wanna do vertical cut by typing in the Y value, and it won't let me do it. I don't want to use my mouse to adjust.. Seems like Bambu Studio's cutting feature is alot better,

    Good day Fischer 3d. another great video thank you. Do you know if orca slicer is able to remove letters from a model? I cant seem to do it. I have tried Tinker cad but its kind of weird to erase letters then put custom letter's back on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      @fischer3d  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Unfortunately it's doesn't have too many tools to make that easy. If the letters are protruded from a wall of surface you could try using the plane cut tool to remove them. Fusion 360 would likely be able to do it. If you want to drop a google drive link to the stl or step file i'd be happy to pull it into Fusion and see if it's doable.

      @@fischer3d The cut plane tool worked well. i don't know why i didn't think of that. Thanks for the advice. i Love your videos and advice straight to the point.

    Great stuff! Is there any means to split, route a grove around both openings and produce a gasket that fits the grove to be printed with TPU like filament?

    • @fischer3d
      @fischer3d  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      hmm. that would be tricky on 2 parts. You could possible use the paint tool and select a different filament for the painted area or use a modifier shape and do the same. For accuracy, I'd lean toward something like fusion 360 to create the channel and produce a separate part for the gasket material.

    The cutting tool is missing for me. Where is it?

      @fischer3d  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Make sure you're on the Prepare screen. It's between the Lay on Face and Support icons, across the top of the screen.

    • @fischer3d
      @fischer3d  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Try clicking the Device menu across the top of Orca. On the left should be section to add a printer and there was a selection of inputting the IP address directly. Give that a shot. As long as it's on the network you should be able to directly connect. I think there is a link on that page too for a connection tutorial. My Orca is now tied to my Bambu, so all I see now is that, even if I log out. But, when I was printing with my Ender 3, I remember seeing several options to connection to Pi, Klipper, etc..

      Hmm... scratching my head a bit on this one, sorry. On the Others tab, under your Process settings. Scroll down to the "special mode" section and find timelapse. What is the value in the dropdown?

    Hello, is there a way to strengthen just the connectors? For example, if i made a box with the plug connectors, can i add more infill/strengthen just the plugs? Or do i have to strengthen the whole box?

    • @fischer3d
      @fischer3d  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      your best bet would be to add a modifier to your plugs. In the Per Object settings for the Modifier you can change the infill to 100%.
