Canadian Pacific 2816: The Race back Home (4K)
Chasing the beautiful 4-6-4 steam locomotive Canadian Pacific "Empress" 2816 from Houston, TX all the way to Fisher, LA, over 200 miles of chasing, as she leads her train back home to Canada after running from Calgary to Mexico City for the Final Spike tour to celebrate the merger of the Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern railroads, now Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC). Unfortunately, they ran a different route in Houston instead of the one they originally took on the trip to Mexico, which made it harder to chase at first and guessing where it would pass. After Houston we managed to catch up to the train in Eastgate and continued the chase there. With how fast the train was going, it took longer to catch up to it, but I was still not disappointed with the amount of times I caught it.
Thanks for watching and I hope y'all enjoyed my first 4K video!

Pacing the Canadian Pacific "Empress" 2816
มุมมอง 41514 วันที่ผ่านมา
The pacing shots I got while chasing the 2816 in Louisiana, not the best ones, but I did my best, and going up to 50mph. Please excuse the shakiness and rough zooming, this was all handheld, and my camera’s built in stabilizer is not enough. The chase video will be published soon. Thanks for watching! Early Testing of the DART Silver Line trains
มุมมอง 34321 วันที่ผ่านมา
DART's Silver Line train sets are getting their early testing done along the TRE corridor. These trains are Stadler FLIRT DMUs, like the ones used by TEXRail The testing basically consists of making sure everything on the train functions the way it should. Testing is taking place on Sundays, I'm not sure when testing will end. Over the past weeks of testing, the train sets have been tested on d...

มุมมอง 3372 หลายเดือนก่อน
A handful of videos I took at the TRE's new Trinity Lakes station. This station was built to replace the old Richland Hills station, about 1 mile east of it. This station was opened on Febuary 19, 2024, 2 days after Richland Hills station was open for the last time. Richland Hills station is set to to be demolished but I am not sure when that will take place, the station is still standing at th...

Richland Hills station was opened with a parade and an opening ceremony on September ...

7:49 Highball!
How fast is that?
30 mph is the top speed
Fantastic shots
Thank you!
She's ok though. That photo that showed CP #2816 damaged is fake. She's headed home. Now she's at Silvis Illinois for an event
Just never bring it to Mexico again thanks to them not giving a darn about rail safety, especially because of that lady's death.
Good. Catch CP 2816 Steam Engine Passenger Train I Saw CP 2816 Houston Tx Chase on
Even the horn and bell together on these are the exact same sound on Caltrain's EMU's. Nice vid!
That is because it was made by STADLER even caltrain’s emu’s were made by stadler
Well done.
I appreciate it!
fantastic shots.
Thank you!
Cool!
it went through TX?
No
@@dfw_railfanner where at cause Mansfield is in TX
Uuh it never went through Mansfield, the closest it got to Texas was Shreveport Louisiana
Yes, from Laredo to Deweyville. This video was taken in Louisiana. There’s a Mansfield, LA.
@@North_Texas_Railfan you’ve been real quiet lately, you don’t post that much recently, what’s up?
Rio grande!!!!
So the window between 10a & 6p I'm guessing there is no way of knowing "unless you have a scanner" when one pass by a given area.
Correct, it’s best to have a scanner so you can know what they’re doing.
Looking good!! Great video
Thank you!
@@North_Texas_Railfan you’re welcome!! Keep up the great work
where were some of the places you filmed at located?
First 2 shots were at Valley View, then Gilbert which is just east of West Irving, a parking lot on Rock Island and MacArthur in Irving, Rogers, and West Irving.
Feels weird seeing the Silver Line with one car again as opposed to two
Can you do Avenue e in Arlington tx
Yeah that’s definitely an ex-Amtrak locomotive. That’s for sure
Nice catch
Nice video
I ❤ TRE ❤🤍💙
Why do the grapevine vintage railroad don’t blow the horn😭it always has quiet zones I never heard the G40PH horn😢😢
It’s a k3la
Do they run the TEXRail line?
Yes
Nice video! What camera are you recording with nowadays? Video quality is very crisp!
Thanks! Im using the Sony I used to use for pictures, with an 18-135mm lens. I’ve been shooting with it since November of 2022 actually
FINALLY YOU UPLOADED THANK YOU FOR SAVING ME!!
That station will be greatly missed
Great final catches ✅ So it didn't take long to remove the station? ✅
As far as I know the station is still there up to today, I don’t know If they’re going to demolish it.
@@North_Texas_Railfan OH no ✅️
@@North_Texas_Railfan It's still shows it on google maps. The new station is still just a hole in the ground but I'm not sure if that picture is updated. Just from the last Amtrak shot it looks like you might be standing where the platform was.
VERY GOOD
That's my grandma & Me Favorite Locomotive
I know 403 once wore that horn.
Great catch! I live about an hour and a half north of there and have been wanting to chase the GVRR for a while
How many locomotives pulling that train
Vickery yard?
Thats my hood.
UP 6706 just vibin
nice catch with 2 heritage units
Nice catch.
Texas eagle used to go via arlington to Dallas. Some joker thought 2 minutes was too much. So they reroute Amtrak via the TRE line.
Now that's what I call train spotting. Excellent video!
what type of camera do you use?
8:14 what a beautiful k5la!
I rode in September and there was a GP for power, The F-units were back at their shop.
Fire
Great catches 👍Do you remember the street name was in the first crossing?
Thanks! It’s Great Southwest Pkwy in Grand Prairie
@@North_Texas_Railfan Thanks, I video taped UP's E9's thru GP there in Nov. 1995 ✅👍
You're lucky you got 1068 leading. I caught UP1996 trailing on the ZAILA. We railfans on the Dallas Sub get a lot of awesome stuff railfanning it.
I've been thinking about taking my high end audio gear to Union Station to get a good recording of this engine. Also, thanks for your explanation of what F40PH is in the description. I didn't know any of that info.
What time does it get to dallas on sunday, before it leaves to Oklahoma city at 2:15 PM?
How many freight trains go through Dallas union station in a day?
Great catches awesome chase and capture and nice video
What signal did the signaller gave before an eastbound train comes? 2:19
