Royal Gorge Route Railroad departs Cañon City, CO

While on a family vacation in Colorado, we stopped by Cañon City to check out the train a second time. My goal was to see the new SD40-3s the Royal Gorge Route Railroad purchased a few months before I filmed this video, and sure enough, locomotive 603 was leading the excursion train. The photos of the other 2 locomotives were taken at the railroad's yard just east of the taken. It's private property but I was let in with permission.
CRRX 601 was painted in a Rio Grande style paint scheme, 602 was still awaiting some minor repairs and repaint, and 603 was painted in the RGRR colors. The 3 locomotives are former Escalante Western SD40-3s.

Yes, 402 403 and the B unit. 402 is not in service though.
