It's a mystery. 2 Thessalonians 2:7 ESV - For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. God’s Omniscient Foreknowledge of Lucifers creation is a mystery to me. What I do know is that the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil has made me a "second hand fool". I did not eat of it, my ancestors did. I inherited the knowledge of good and evil as a third party recipient of my ancestors in the womb of my mother as the Lord was forming me. No one asked me if I wanted to partake of the said fruit! It was forced upon me while I was an unborn fetus in my mother's matrix against my will as God intended. God’s Creation, Justice, Mercy, Grace, Love, Light, Spirit, Nature, Omniscience, Omnipotence, Omnipresence and Purpose, are all a mystery to me until the Holy Spirit teaches me otherwise. I was born with the ability to parse out the difference between the knowledge of good and evil. Hopefully I will not allow the experience of my life to rationalize away that ability, allowing evil to triumph over good in my life. Philippians 1:6 ESV - And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

Absolutely the best explanation of the origin of evil I have heard!

According to TULIP CALVINISM the holy, righteous God of the Bible is the author and cause of ALL SIN AND EVIL. According to MacArthurs beliefs and teaching, his God has DECREED "ALL" THINGS THAT EVER HAPPEN, and "NOTHING" CAN EVER HAPPEN OUTSIDE OF THE WILL OF GOD. This is the foundationional pillar of TULIP CALVINISMS fatalistic and very extreme "sovereignty of God" doctrine. If this theology is true, then this demands that the holy righteous God of the Bible DECREED the fall into SIN of Lucifer in heaven, and the fall of Adam and Eve into SIN on earth. MacArthurs God then has also DECREED the practice of ALL SIN AND EVIL throughout history. Thus, the source and origin of SIN and ALL EVIL comes from the pure and holy God of the Bible according to TULIP CALVINISM, MacArthur, Piper, White, Sproul, Palmer and all TULIP WORSHIPERS. Be sure to know dear reader, CALVINISMS insidious theology is doctrines of devils. BEWARE of the poisonous and deadly flower of TULIP. It is "another gospel" and ALL who teach and follow it are presently living under God's curse, as recorded in Galatians chapter one.

Mr. MacArthur WORSHIPS and serves "a God" who is the greatest MANHATER in history. MacArthur believes and very arrogantly and aggressively teaches that the holy, righteous and "JUST GOD" of the Bible, has DECREED that the VAST MAJORITY of mankind, BEFORE they were born or had committed "one" sin, will GO TO HELL with absolutely NO possibility of receiving His mercy, genuine love, saving grace, or salvation during their lifetime. "MacArthurs God" has hatefully DECREED that billions of precious souls would be denied any "genuine" opportunity to respond to the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Each one of these precious souls are DAMNED TO THE ETERNAL LAKE OF FIRE for the pleasure of the "God"of TULIP CALVINISM. MacArthur spuriously teaches through the false TULIP doctrine of "total inability" (subtly disguised as "depravity" in the CALVINIST religious system) that these precious souls cannot respond positively to the gospel and the Word of God. THIS HAS BEEN DECREED UPON THEM by MacArthurs false God. Devilish teacher MacArthur proclaims that these souls have absolutely no ability to seek the Lord, or to " call upon the name of the Lord (Jesus)" for help , mercy and forgiveness when they hear the gospel of God's unlimited grace MacArthur amazingly teaches that no person can seek Jesus , call upon the name of JESUS, or repent of their si😅ns to God UNTIL THEY ARE "FIRST" BORN AGAIN. To be born again, according to Scripture means to receive new eternal Life, to be saved. To be born again, regenerated, means one has become a child of God, to be a member of God's family, and to be a redeemed member of the Bible Church of God. To have, by faith RECEIVED CHRIST as ones Saviour and Lord. The Bible declares that believing on the Lord Jesus Christ must come "first" BEFORE a sinner is saved. This man is a cunning deciever in the way he sinfully twists the Word of God to suit the spurious theology of TULIP CALVINISM. If MacArthurs God has unjustly and hatefully DECREED that mankind (ie. all sinners ) have absolutely no ability to recognize His truth, no ability to respond to God's Word and the gospel, no ability to respond to Holy Spirit conviction of sin in His world wide specific ministry (John 16:7-11), and absolutely no ability to respond to God's universal imperitive commands, then WHY WOULD GOD COMMAND SINNERS TO: 1. "BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved " Dear MacArthur worshipers and TULIP CALVINISM worshipers, how can the God of the Bible be holy, honest, and trustworthy, if He commands sinners to do what He has DECREED they are unable to do? That being to respond to His above clear and specific commands? IS CALVINISMS SOVEREIGN GOD NOT BEING SINFULLY DOUBLE MINDED AND EXTREMEY UNJUST IN COMMANDING LOST SINNERS TO DO WHAT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR THEM??? Is the "God" of TULIP CALVINISM disingenuous??? Never heard anyone preach like John MacArthur . Love the way he teaches. I thank God that I found him. Don't know who is not a false prophet anymore. I listened to someone that I think is right, and come to find out they're not teaching the true word. Hope I'm on the right path with John.Amen

Sorry John, a person can lose his or her salvation if a person decides to become alcoholic or homosexuals or Liars or sodomites. They will lose their salvation. The bible is clear about that; if you are saved you must stay saved. Jesus said you must endure to the end.

He's exactly right about empty buckets of pragmatism, self help and philosophy. No wonder I have had so many pitfalls because I walked in the flesh.

Why did he have to bring in his ignorance about evolution into this? I'm trying to give John a chance, but this on top of how he counseled abused women to stay with their husbands? This man has no spirit.

I love the utter honesty infusing this sermon. For the question which consumes the biblical writers from beginning to end, "Why doesn't God intervene to ensure his righteousness and protect his people?: MacArthur answers, "God has abandoned the field! God is in the locker-room actively doing nothing!" Whatever the rationale, the situation is always the same. God never appears to play the game. His human spokesmen never stop cursing their fellow man from the bleachers.

Isaiah 45:7 tells us that God created evil. But that is something that he created that we are not to partake in. Just like God created the tree of knowledge of good and evil, which Adam and Eve were told not to eat of it’s fruit.

My wife's close friend and her 6 year old son were brutally attacked by their neighbor with a baseball bat in her own home this week. It's likely her son will not pull through. I was in the kitchen listening to this sermon today when my wife told me the news. How God times certain things is truly remarkable. I pray He uses this evil thing for His own good purposes.
