Paul anticipated that men would tend to boast of their part in salvation when he wrote that faith (one of many components of salvation) "is the gift of God...that no one should boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9). @JesusHarvestLife We are saved by accepting that only by the Grace of God and trusting ("Pistis" in the Greek) means to "TRUST" that is "faith"... in the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ, an innocent and sinless life, to open salvation to all but not by works of the law... Not a blind faith, but led by examples of trusting in Jesus Christ's work to finish the hold that sin has on mankind's life. TETELESTAI = "It is Finished" -" paid in full" - All sin has been paid for in full for those who follow Jesus Christ and accept that they are a sinner and have turned away from their evil and have become Saved only by the Grace of God, no work can save anyone.. It's a free gift and a life changer.
Right because good works become a manifestation of salvation. The moment I was born again, everything about me abruptly changed. Now I go out of my way to do good. Now I cannot get enough of our Lord and savior. The good that I do is evidence of my salvation. Not a requirement for it. If I hadn't changed (born again), I would not have done many of the good things I've done. Still, Jesus saved me. All by himself and good works sprang from THAT. It wasn't like "ok, now that Jesus died on the cross for me, I hope to do enough good to finish up the job". He said "it is finished". Saved by grace. By faith alone and the good works flowed from that. Every single person that's truly been born again KNOWS it with all our hearts. Blessings my friend.

You mean the Holy Spirit knew, not Paul anticipated right? Paul just wrote what the Holy Spirit inspired him to.
