Ride along in the L322, taking on the beautiful Costa Vincentina trails in Portugal. The entire trail is on Wikilocs, beware, there are sections that are heavily overgrown, and will damage your paintwork, as you can see in the footage. This is just a small section from Sagres in the south, which was heavily figged in when I drove it, up the coastline to Sines. #overlanding #rangeroverl322 #offroad

great vid, I've got an 2016 SDV8 autobiography and I love it
Very helpfull video, thank you very much. Most videos are promotor clips without usefull informations. Cheers. 👍
Thank you!
Just purchased a 2.0 m for my Defender 90 do you need a centre giving at all or are you confident with two fixing points? Great video thanks.
2M only needs two supports, 2.6M needs 3 👍🏻
Hi, just wondering what your experience of using it was like. How hot it may get etc
Set the timer, and the temp, leave it, and it will cook at whatever temp you set it at. It’s excellent. I generally use it for pies pop one or two in 30 mins before I want to eat them. If you use one, best to use it while driving as it does draw 10 amps, unless you have a decent battery bank to run it
Hello!)) I'm from Russia. I like the Range Rover L322. Tell me, is it worth buying a Range Rover L322 diesel 3.6 or 4.4, 2008-2012 with a mileage of 200,000 - 280000 km?
Get a 4.4, make sure you know as much about the service history, mileage is no representation of condition of the car
Thanks!)
Hi mark, hve u still got the l322 ladder 4 sale.
Yes, still for sale, it’s on FB marketplace and a number of L322 FB pages overlanding4wd@gmail.com
Have you also changed to a space saver spare? It looked a little narrow on the roof. Just saying that as I didn’t spot your ladder missing until you mentioned it 😎👍
Nope. That’s always been there👍🏻
@@Overlanding4WD ah! Sorry I thought you previously had a full sized spare. FYI My wife and I are migrating back to the UK after 14-years in Perth WA next March. I will be selling my L405 here and then purchasing another Land Rover once we move back. Deliberating which way to go. Seen a few L322 AB Blacks for sale as I previously had an early L322 and regularly follow both you and Sam’s channels. Also have to have my weekly fix of LRTime so a Disco 4 is also a possibility. Love the 4.4 TDV8 but also love the additional space in a D4 as my previous L322 was on occasions a bit tight for all our stuff and the dog. I had a 4.0 petrol V6 D3 which was ideal size but a touch underpowered. Concerned though about the risk of a D4 snapping a crank which the 4.4 doesn’t suffer from. I remember you said you thought about a Disco but chose the L322 to be different. Would you make the same choice if you had your time again?
@davel4471 First, why the heck are you coming back here, I’m trying to get out…. Things are not good here… OK. Moving on…. The l322 is a cut above and beyond the D4’s IMHO, and there is not much extra space in a D4. Do I regret my choice, nope. For me, it’s a perfect all round off road / overland vehicle. It;s luxury, for 2011, but even now, still holds up and the 4.4 TDV8 is an excellent touring engine, economical for such a big lump, but powerful too, especially low down. People think the D4 and the L322 share the same systems, they don’t, the terrain response and EAS are different between the two in how they function and are controlled.
@@Overlanding4WD the reason for coming back is one word “Family” if just one of our grown up children and their family had come to live here it may have been different but our annual visit back and short time physically together is not enough any more especially as we get older. We’ve just come back from a 3,000+ km Caravan trip to the North of WA to get away from the Perth winter. You’re right, my SDV8 L405 easily tows our 3.5tonne caravan at 100kmh at 1200rpm and outstanding fuel economy. The L405 is a great car but I fancy going back to an L322 whilst still having the 4.4 engine as I think it is classic whilst modern. The more square Discovery was fantastic for long road trips and I did some serious off-roading here in Aus. I do like the way you built your modular system in the back of yours and have watched tour early L322 videos again. My L322 was good over rocks etc. but struggled in sand but then again it was a TD6. Keep up the good work and best wishes with the channel 😎👍
You are certainly ready for the Apocalypse 👌
Or a 4 week road trip to the Balkans 👍🏻
very nice project. I come from Germany and would like to ask where you can get the ladder for the tailgate. greetings Dirk
Thank you… You can get them here voyagerracks.com/land-rover-range-rover-mk3-l322-rear-access-ladder
@@Overlanding4WD cool thanks
Hello, I am watching your videos on the L322 with great enthusiasm. Great work and great information👍 Maybe I missed it, but can you please tell me where your rear ladder is from? Best regards from Vienna Erwin

Great idea. You now how to use every area on your RR well. You are self-sufficient in any conditions. I like very much an idea with the installation of the pv panel on the bonnet. 👍
Thanks! 👍
It’s Still looking good! 👍
Surprised how good it looks and solves a major issue with the later L322s. Thanks for sharing.
The defender one looks better IMHO than the L322 one 👍🏻
Looks a very professional fit / unit. Could it maintain the vehicle battery AND the house battery(s) at rest and whilst Over-landing?
Yes, probably depends on how far the house batteries are depleted. 👍🏻
Yes, but it’s only a 90w panel, it might take time to charge up a depleted house battery.
Dear lord, some piece of kit u have there 😂 I just saw the roof box and mud Tyres and didn’t think further lol. Thanks for the tour, great inspiration ❤ 🇬🇧
It’s a roof top tent, or was, as I’ve ditched it, and I’m on AT’s, not MT’s. 👍🏻 Thanks for watching
@@Overlanding4WD yes, I meant that when I saw the thumbnail I just assumed it’s box. Fab piece of kit. You’re living the life, I’ve had a 2005 td6 vogue with 2012 lights n front bumper upgrade for about 7 years now. It’s done me well mechanically. Based in west mids. Looking to start doing it up for small adventure. Your channel is great inspiration. Thanks 🙏
Thank you 👍🏻
Your videos are inspired me to rebuilt my L322 to overlander too. I leave in Scotland and my plan is tavel to The Shattlands next year. Take care. 👍
👍🏻
Thank you, great video!
Glad it helped!
How have you found living with a black car? I have a Stormoway Grey L320 and am looking at a fully kitted L322 in Santorini Black. I am a bit afraid about it always looking dirty and being hot as a pudel.
If it gets dirty, wash it. Black is the best colour, buy one, don’t worry about it and enjoy it. As my video this shows, scratches on black cars can easily be polished out. 👍🏻
After sorting this car out I can confirm black is an amazing standout colour! 👍
Will try this on my 07 l320
That's the way they're supposed to be 👍🏻
Amazing 😊
Fantastic watch 👍
Now I want to build mine into an overlander! Great to have to you at Neu Car, see you soon!
If money was as easy acquired as it is spent! My L322 would also be an overlander! 😂
They can go overland off road with very little costs. A decent set of AT tyres, and they become transformed.
@@Overlanding4WD £800 on a new set of All Terrains won’t best please the wife! 😂
@exploringwithjacob8641 then replace them when your road tyres wear out!
@@Overlanding4WD definitely in the books!
This is amazing. Well done friend
Amazing
Hi Mark just a quick question do you think its worth changing the rear exhaust box
IMHO, yes, saves a LOT of weight, and the engine preforms better, less restriction in that massive rear box, sounds better too. 👍🏻
I've got a question for you. How did you do that with the ladder at the rear? very nice solution. greetings dirk
it’s from voyager in the US 👍🏻
we how much one of these goes for
So tranquil 😇
Great video Mark, oddly enough it’s my first day in Portugal today 24th July and I’ve driven to the outskirts of Porto from Leon where we stayed last night …. Loving Portugal hills and trees However 41c is a bit much
It’s certainly warmed up in the last week 👍🏻
Highly appreciated! What a find. Heaven on Earth. Beautifully captured.
Nice track! Hope she will polish out!
Cracking video Mark 😊
Thanks 👍
Looks fabulous Mark. I will have to cross Portugal off the list whilst it's still possible.
👍👍👍🙏
Looks amazing

You are one of the rare channels that are truthful, honest, and relaxing to watch, especially this video. Sir, you have gained an appreciative subscriber.
Top Job! 😁
Been there done that, and cringed the whole way through the route
Great route though 👍🏻
@@Overlanding4WD honestly I’m tempted to get one of them battery hedge trimmers and take preventative measures
@robgreenhill1426 be there all day, some of it has not been driven much, so it grows in, and it’s thick in places
@@Overlanding4WD be great to fit one each side on the front bumper lol
That would break my heart on such a nice RR😢
It’s built to go off road, it’s not a mall princess. They’ll come out
It's not worth the pinstripe damage on such a lovely RR they won't all polish out😢
Too late, once in, no way out, no way to turn around. There is a lot of dust on the vehicle, which makes it looks a lot worse than it is, and they not deep, just took some of the clear coat off, they’ll come out 👍🏻
Do those electric seats fold flat?
No
@@Overlanding4WD were they easy to remove?
@joesm00th Yes, 4 bolts each side, and detach the looms. 30 mins, easy
@@Overlanding4WD thanks!
Do you have pictures or a video of how and where you installed the second battery? I would like to instal a bigger battery but don't have the space. Im now using a 110aH lead accid installed in the dead space under/next to te rear fuse panel
That’s where my first 100ah lithium is, the space is not wide enough for a larger 200ah battery, so I stacked my 2nd 100ah on top and connected them together
@@Overlanding4WD so there's enough room for 1 100aH lithium? Wich one do you have
Yes, I have a renogy 100ah
Very sensible overview and advice. Thanks!
Very nice set up Mr. Talbot. Enjoy spain. When you are touring the states?
How much did all that cost?
