1862 Colt Pocket Navy Cased 22LR Conversion
มุมมอง 1.2Kปีที่แล้ว
Just a quick overview of an Uberti Colt 1862 Pocket Nacvy with a fitted 22LR Kirst Konverter. The Colt 1862 Pocket Navy is a cap-and-ball revolver designed by Samuel Colt and produced by the Colt Patent Firearms Manufacturing Company. It was introduced in 1861 as an improvement to the earlier Colt 1849 Pocket revolver and was widely used during the American Civil War. It is a single-action, six...

Another late night GB purchase on impulse. I was cruising GB at midnight again coming across this auction with a view counter of only two views. S&W 38 Baby Russian Spur Trigger Pocket Pistol
มุมมอง 2.7K3 ปีที่แล้ว
The S&W SA 38 "Baby Russian" was Smith & Wesson's first 38 caliber revolver. It was built specifically to fire the new developed S&W 38 cartridge developed in 1876. This one is from the first year of production in 1877. Originally designed as an everyday carry gun, I still carry this gun from time to time 144 years later. It functions flawlessly and we shoot it on the range.
Ammo Nearly 100 Years Old Sill Shoots!

A listing for "93 year old milsurp machine gun ammo" caught my eye on a midnight run of GB last month. As I read the auction description it was described as being from an Argentine Maxim Machine Gun display. I threw down a bid and won it. Mosin Nagant M44
มุมมอง 4903 ปีที่แล้ว
Demo of a Mosin-Nagant M44 that I bought of GB late one night. I bought it as an unfired, all numbers matching Mosin Nagant M44 made in 1945 at Izhevsk Arsenal. An all numbers matching Mosin of any type with matching barrel, bolt, butt-plate and magazine well is very rare. Finding one un-fired is even more so. We disassemble it to verify if these claims are true or not.

It's certainly an elderly design. However. I did see once online. A photo of this 9mm pinfire ammo in a paper package that was totally intact. With clearly the marking of a Nazi swastika on it. Someone ensured thier occupation era police force had a constant supply. My guess.

You can use 22 hornet, trimmed half way and ream the primer pocket to 6mm flob or 27 ramset. Shot a Marlin xxx 30 rim on my channel doing so. Made about 80 pieces. Sold 2-3 pieces with each gun.

I don't know....this one is in great condition. These old timers usually fetch $100 to $200 if nearly mint like this one. I bought a mint condition one last year off GunBroker for $132 plus 8% tax and $35 shipping, so around $175 in my hands.

It's a 12mm pinfire but you probably know that by now. For the cheap seats some countries said 12mm because at the loading gate the bore measures 12mm. It SHARPLY forms a cone becoming 11.2mm by the time you exit the cylinder. The barrel opens back up with a forcing cone which rapidly becomes 11.2mm again for the rest of the balls travel. I'm pretty sure it was the Dutch that labeled theirs 11mm yet you can find their cartridge specs and they match a 12mm exactly. Flobert rifles are the same with 8mm and 7mm being confused. They are 8mm at the breach and 7mm at the muzzle. They are the same.

My dad had several of these in the late 50's when they were around cheap. He got me interested in antique firearms. He had an assortment of bullet mold. He could reload RF cartridges with strike on the box matches and the striker dust scrapped off the side of the box and alcohol. I used the same formula to make percussion caps from soda cans for my cap n ball revolvers. I use hairspray to seal them they work fine.

If you have a ballpoint pen that has a spring you have a spring that will fit the spur trigger. Just cut off a 3/16 length of the spring out of the middle and install that short cut off section. It isn't as strong as the original but does work and is reliable. Just some advice, don't dryfire rimfore firearms because the hammer has a blade that WILL eventually break which would be a shame.

That ASM/ CVA Pocket Remington looks well made! Both the Uberti Pocket Colt Pocket models and the Pietta 1863 Pocket Remington in 31 caliber are also well made products. However some tweaking is needed to make them "Well Regulated".
