A quick overview of a 1858 Remington New Model Army reproduction that I picked up in a large parts lot. There are absolutely no markings of any kind to indicate what it is.
It’s definitely a Pietta/Remington 1858 new model army cap and ball 44. I own that same brass model..love the gun and the history. Re-Placement cylinder’s go for about 65.00$ in the north east of the lower 48..states. If would like to Correspond with me about this gun I would obliged..?

You are correct, it turned out to be a Pietta as the Pietta cylinder fit and functioned flawlessly.
