    Let's try a hypothetical scenario: I an Energy company are told- £600 per household each year reduced through Solar and wind farming, mmmm, NO=Sudden increase In bill costs!
    Unless you Eliminate all Private companies fully ( NOT GONNA HAPPEN ) for a Publicly owned Farms or Self Energy Generating households then there's No way you'll get the prices down!
    Also to point out, the Countryside will come together and demand Reparations for wrecking the wilderness and Environment not to mention the cost of setting up all these 'Energy systems', maintenance, repairs, disposals etc etc, 🤔😒😖🤪

    So far, in 2024 we have had about 6 days of sunny weather so what happens on the other 358 days?? We dont have much wind, we have breezes. Millions of birds are going to fall victim to these monstrosities.

    The problem is renewables, apart from being start-stop, are very low density energy. They take up between 300 and 500 the amount of space to produce the same power as a gas plant. So, if you want this "clean" energy (forgetting the awful recycling problems down the line) then be prepared to lose LOTS of farm land and beautiful countryside. Battery storage is not the answer either - again = acres of land covered in shipping container sized batteries for a couple of hours of back up power - paid for twice: once to store it, then to supply it.

    The UK ranked 17th with just 1.1% of global emissions. China produced 28% and was responsible for almost two-thirds of the growth in emissions since 2000. We could bring it to 0% at the cost of billions to the UK tax payer and not make a noticeable difference.

    It’s crazy that all these things that will be so effective and save so much money can only be done with investment. It’s also crazy that oil companies don’t diversify in to them if they will be so effective at creating and supplying energy. Opening new oil sites costs billions but they do it so why don’t they go full bore into renewables? It’s almost like they know something

    The chap is living on a different planet if he thinks this will make money for the UK. The only way it could possibly make money is by laying HVDC cables between Europe and the UK and on to the USA. If the UK needs to invest go down the HVDC cables route and start exporting this wind power

    Ecotricity by far the biggest green energy producer. Did you know they only produce 12% of their own electricity😂. The rest they buy off the wholesale market so not exactly green. Also turnover was £550m yet only made a profit of £9.7m that’s a % profit of 1.76 absolutely horrendous. So GB Energy, an investment company is going to invest in green energy. So an investor will expect a return so who in their right mind would want to invest in green energy with such miserable returns. Also the government will guarantee a return so who pays the interest when the profits are so small. Yep us the taxpayers. We are being told a big lie. GB Energy is nothing but a scam, the money the govt invest will be lost and we will all be on the line to repay it back. It’s a seriously bad idea.
