For someone migrating from windows & brand new to MacOS, your video was very useful, and will doubtless prove invaluable when my new M3 arrives in a week or so, thank you
This was great to watch as soon as I opened the box to my MacBook Pro M3! The greatest info for me was to disconnect it from iCloud because it's super easy to fill up your iCloud storage without thinking about it. Thanks again!
This is an awesome video. Got my M3 Pro recently and replicated most of the settings shown in the video. I was not aware of many things covered here. Thanks for sharing the details!
I just picked up the 2024 Macbook Pro 16 inch with 36 Gigs of Ram and 1TB storage for personal casual use. It is my first ever Macbook and I really enjoy using it daily. First thing I did was to fine tune the Macbook while watching your Tips and Tricks.

I purchased the M3 max MacBook Pro 16" and LOVE how big the screen is and super FAST, yet very thin and light. Thank you for taking time to make this video, I learned a lot. I am new to the MacBook and found all of your tips very helpful. I have been a longtime user of apple iPhone and iPad, and recently started editing video taken on my iPhone using FinalCut Pro, but that software is for apple only, so that was a good excuse to get a MacBook. I did spend a lot, but I figure it's worth the investment because I only buy a new computers about every 5 years and have no patience for slow computers.
Came back to this video just because I got my MacBook Pro M3 pro in space black today and needed some tips and ticks... Im coming from an intel so this is a major upgrade of me. Im excited and thanks for this video. Been a follower for many years now! great work Brandon 🙏🏽
About to pull the trigger tomorrow. Upgrading from late 2013 MBP that still works and does what I need …just slower 😢 I have to find a use for it b/c it has sentimental value. I swore I would never get a Mac but since I bit the Apple I cannot go back!
@@bize1msu631 Go for it. You can always keep it considering it's still running good. Im in love with mine. I feel so productive and up to date... worth eery penny. Im able to do all my task easily. Question about Time Machine. The drive where you back up must be constantly be connected while using the laptop? Or I can connect it maybe every couple of days and it does it automatically?
It will only backup when the external drive is connected. I connect mine once or twice a week, and then my Mac automatically recognizes the Time Machine drive, and then it will begin backing up my Mac on its own.
I just got the MBP M3 Pro 14" and it is absolutely brilliant! My favorite tip here was using Smart Folder to create a customized Recents folder. Intuitive but not so obvious, aye? One of the best videos I have come across!
If you want a bigger looking dock you can just clean up around it and remove clutter to make it appear slightly larger. Or you can do it in the settings like Brandon describes so perfectly. awesome vid! i love that i have trouble keeping up and it doesn't get dragged out to a 2 hour video.

Hey Brandon, I’ve watched all your “do these things” videos and noticed that during the trackpad setup in more gestures you sometimes select App Exposé to Off or sometimes swipe down with three fingers, but when you get to Accessibility/Pointer Control/trackpad dragging On, it changes the App exposé to 4 fingers since you use 3 for dragging… have you even noticed? The setup is different in your three videos (m1,m2,m3). I’m curious in what setup you are actually using
You video was easy to follow and apply to my MacBook Air, can you please do one on how to watch streaming services when offline. Coming from a tablet where you had the app and you could download the movie or show and then watch it when offline is the only thing that frustrates me for a new iOS user
Got my first mac i few days ago and man it’s a learning curve for me. I picked up a 14in MacBook pro 18gb’s ram 512 ssd and love it so far. The screen and the speakers are the best I’ve seen or heard on a laptop plus the battery life is awesome. I still love my 13900hx gaming laptop but battery life not one of its strong suits. It just learning how to do simple things and what option to turn on of off.

I just got a MacPro M3 and I haven't had a new Mac since 2012. I really appreciated your video! You did go a little fast for newbie me but I slowed down the video speed and that resolved haha. If I turned off the cloud for my MAC- could I still access photos thrown up on the cloud from my phone on my MAC? That part I am a little confused on. Thanks for the video it was GREAT! The most helpful tip for me was the 3 finger on my track pad so I can drag things and just have a tap instead of pressing on the track pad.
