Says who? Natural scrolling just means that the screen scrolls in the opposite direction of the way your mouse wheel would spin. That's extremely unintuitive as far as im concerned.
@@BritishBoy No, natural scrolling follows the direction of the mouse wheel spin. The point of scrolling is to scroll the page content, not the scrollbar. On the Mac, both trackpad and mouse wheel scrolling direction correspond to the content scrolling direction. On Windows, the mouse wheel movement corresponds to the scrollbar direction, which is inverse of the content direction, hence not 'natural'.
@@bikeman7982 As far as how intuitive it might be, the affordance of a mouse wheel is arbitrary anyways, so it's impossible to say which way is objectively better. That's why it's given as an option. When I scroll with a mouse wheel I imagine the opposite end of the wheel being pressed up against the content on the screen so that when I turn the wheel the content moves as if it's being pushed by the wheel; it's similar to a belt or pulley system. It's the way that makes sense in my mind and I'm sure it's the same for millions of other people. It's simply more intuitive and natural to me and everyone else who likes it. Whether scrolling means pushing or rolling to you is a personal choice.
@@BritishBoy Sure, I can accept this is a personal preference and something one's used to. We had a mix of Macs and Windows laptops where I used to work. Scrolling was frustrating when a Mac user would help a Windows user on their laptop or vice versa :-). Cheers!
