Sitting in my freelancer, just about to jump out to a trade post as a Hull D fells out of jump right in front of me. I yielded right of way to the behemoth that's hauling cargo containers that make my ship look small. A Hull D is an uncommon sighting and an impressive technological marvel to the settlers of the fringe systems. As I look closer there's a forth cargo spindle. Curiosity and awe grew as I drew closer to see a ship that only pilots stories in bars ever made mention of. When the ship appeared to have filled out its expected size, it continued to grow. Ships continue to drop out of jump behind it as the oversized escort fleet catches up. I decided that keeping a distance might be the more healthy option.
Found you in a round table discussion with Space Tomato, checked out your channel, and I'm sold. Great content - simple and straight forward with a touch o' style. Keep it up!
As I said in the previous video, interesting ship to have in a small/mid org if you have enough people to fill the ship and protect it. Nice editing and good advices along the video.
I think the Hull C is only for moving cargo between planet stations since it can't land when it's loaded. Then maybe you will use the cargo center in those stations to move cargo to another ship like the C2 hercules so you can sell the cargo to the TDD in landing zones.
Always thought you would get contracted to haul between planets or system. You get paid for the trip not the cargo value itself in most cases. You could bring the cargo to a space station and if persistent hangars exist you drop off the cargo. C2s and Hull A or B make the trips planet side to sell for profit. I doubt many will be loading up Hull C and higher full with their own goods but if they can afford to they likely have the means to transfer after station drop off.
Love the vibes. Transforming ships have a special place in my heart. My favorite of the bunch is the Khartu-al, because though it may be a paper mache star, its agility is top tier.
Seeing guidelines for big deal ships before the release is great for those of us without much cash to buy all these awesome ships. A chance to really look at it and decide if it's a purchase we want.
Your videos satisfy me as a Star Citizen fan as well as my OCD when I see that you are SO goon in structuring information. I would say you explain from time to time complex content to people that like that content easy.
@@DigitalMaster_Gaming I was about to report your comment as a reflex. I am so so sorry. I might have just reported you because I never win. Now I'm excited like a star kid at star Christmas.
Been playing tarkov for 2 years and i am finnally ready to move to new wipe system game. You information content about ships is great and its amazing you give to the community every month , keep up the good work.
I upgraded to a Hull C with LTI and it will be interesting how it plays when it finally arrives. From what I have heard we will finaly get some hauling missions in the near future as well. Eventually I would probably upgrade to a D or maybe even E though, since I also own an RSI Orion which could greatly benefit from the synergy between these two.
It would be very difficult to solo cargo run without escorts. Use the buddy system while hauling everyone! Join an org or just have friends join ya and split the profits. Thank you for the great video review. Well done!
Loved the Freelancer Max but then I melted it for a Constellation but I'm so looking forward now to get back into a MISC cockpit of one of the Hull-Series ships.
The logistics behind this ship series is crazy, but in a good way. I think I need more friends that play SC. The cargo hauling gameplay loop will have the Verses' economy going crazy 🔥
A lot of people focus on the trading aspect for the Hull C, but I don't think trading will really play a huge part until we have multiple systems. You'd have to ferry goods from an outpost to a docked Hull C, fill that, then take it to a station, unload it and ferry the cargo to a TDD. You'd be quicker using Caterpillars and C2s and going direct - and there's no commodities that are only available in one planetary system etc. I think the Hull C will be very useful to start off with in cargo missions, where we move 32 SCU containers from cargo deck to cargo deck. I'd wager this would be most of its purpose until we have at least Pyro or more systems in, where it would make sense to purchase cargo only available in one system and transport it to a system that needs it. Can't wait to get my hands on my Hull C though! Such a beautiful looking ship, it'll be really chill to be a hauler.
I’m excited for what the hull c will bring gameplay wise. I can only imagine the pirating that will go on with it, and I imagine many orgs will set up specific missions for it using escorts as well
The usefulness of the Hull series will be tied to the means (tractor beam, small craft, npc) available to do the loading/unloading. However the artwork might suggest it will use container-sized boxes more than 1-scu-boxes.
Since cargo transport is my main focus, including SCU, data, and personnel, I picked up the Hull D as my more late stage SCU transport for when my rep may allow for such massive cargo hauling missions. To get there I plan on using my 350R, MSR, C2, and BMM to build that rep and as it grows I can move to the next larger cargo carrier. The Hull E is one I'd like to eventually earn in-game once released. I really look forward to seeing the Hull C, D, and E in the game!
Good ship review and it seems very high quallity. Although i differ on one point on as a starter ship. I think it is not a entry in hauling. I think those jobs are the hull-a or the hull-b. Hull-c does need an escort and also someone in your ship, when this loading and unloading is a thing, you might want to have some crew helping you out. Hull-b can also still land on planets with cargo on it. From the hull-c and above its only spacestation to spacestation. With the exception of landingzones like crusader orison. Again thanks for your point of view on this.
I’ve got the ccu to it and will activate on launch to try it out. Benefits of some rolling store credit to try out all the new ships without buying them.
There's just something about MISC's design language that really makes their ships stand out (and by that I don't mean to refer to the phallus-like shape of the Freelancer). As for the Hull series, I used to prefer the somewhat sleeker design of the A and B variants - however, the bulky appearance of the Hull C and its larger siblings has meanwhile grown on me.
Thank you! Yes I will be making one for them. The Polaris is my overall favorite ship in the game (even as a concept) so I will definitely be making one
In later releases, when the hull c will do big hauls over different systems, I think it creates new player driven mission like "escort my ship". Maybe maybe, but I am looking forward to that.
Great vid. I often am confused why people put hauling and trading together as they are separate professions. Especially for the bigger Hull ships. Du to its size, cargo capacity and the limitation only to lpad and unload in space, i estimate that the Hull-C/D/E will be more like 95% hauling gameplay and only be involved in 5% trading gameplay.
Nice video. Your production standards are superb, not just churning out the same clips with a different commentary. BZ! 👍👌 In terms of the ship - it's seems a viable single player option in the future, but only when market gameplay gets better. It's not so big as to prevent single players making use of it, but with enough cargo space as to make it profitable for the time and effort required. I think the biggest driver will be risk to reward. The insurance system and piracy will/should influence this. Will they develop it to be able to jettison arms of cargo to ensure an escape from pirates? Options for saving the ship and cargo, or parts of, needs to be a game mechanic I think. 🤔
Many question to know you thoughts: - What is that hangar on the last part of the video where the Hull C is landed above, perhaps, a moon? - How will be the loading/unloading mechanic used here, as the ship only lands in it small state? (SRV?) - About the piracy, this one probably will be destoyed only for grieffers, cuz no one can carry those containers it will carry. (my guess)
Sure 1. I am not sure which part of the video. I am certain there is no hangars on the Hull C, but if you mean balcony, then I believe there is 2. Exactly, I am confident it will be tractor beams (ship level tractors beams as I am not sure the hand tools will be able to move the 32 SCU boxes). SRV may be able to if it has a tractor beam designed for moving cargo. I think the SRV is more for moving ships. 3. I think the Hull C will be a target of more organized pirate ORGs and groups who have the right size tractor beams for extraction of cargo
@@DigitalMaster_Gaming Agree with everything. Just about the SRV function, I think I saw images of it carrying containers. Don't know if same size of Hull C ones, but it does not only for ships.
I'm looking forward to running escort duty for some of the large haulers. Imagine a convoy running across Pyro, supported by a loaded Kraken and a fuel resupply ship =)
Nicely done with the review. Everything I needed to know was there and clearly stated. I personally don't see a small group running this ship. While the lure of great profit will call strong I believe the logistics needed to accompany such a ship are more than a small group could supply or afford to hire out. Won't we need changes to the trading systems as well? For instance currently any TDD will only buy 500scu of Med Supplies. Ships like this will be hauling much larger amounts of all goods and without changes it could take weeks to sell all that cargo provided you can keep the Pirates away from it for that long. Maybe it will be cargo hauling missions instead. Anyway it's all rather fascinating to me to think of what changes the introduction of such ships will necessitate.
You are correct on all those points. I feel the same. I hope it's debut comes with improvements to the economy. Small orgs and players will absolutely require escorts. The trade off of running one of these will offset the profits for sure unless you run with a bigger ORG
I am curious to see the different ways you can unload these big haulers as they won't be able to land when loaded. Perhaps with ship tractor beams you would be able to shift the large cargo containers to the Hull A or a Raft to bring it down from orbit. Or maybe you will be able to store the goods at the station until you sell it or use it, so you can show up loaded with all the ammunition and spare parts your org needs.
Thanks... I started on the fence before your video. I think I am still more interested in in the HULL B. Moving this much cargo would be fun... but so risky.
Been hauling with the C2 since invictus and it was available to buy. Melted my Taurus and some other ships that I didnt want and bought it. Best ship for the money right now in my opinion if you want to do cargo running. Really hoping ill be able to get the C when its released. Anyone have any idea on how much its going to be in game? Or in the store?
It is going to be interesting to see how CIG handles docking for these guys because they are so big and there are going to be a lot of them. It seems like CIG needs to work of getting drones up and running to act as cargo unloaders.
I remember a picture some time ago showing the little Argo shuttles handling the cargo containers. Then I have also heard of SRV's and drones doing it as well. I feel the SRV's are a bit big for the common job.
Its so amazing, beautiful and stunning. I cant wait to be a space trucker getting screwed over by pirates over and over again xD With physicalized cargo and softdeath these beauties will be absolute deathtraps.
